Just LOVE this painting! It reminds me of walking through the woods in upstate New York diring my favorite season. I look forward to attempting to paint it. Thank you, Karen!
Oh how I love this Karen !!! Soooo beautiful. Nothing like listening to you first thing in the morning or when my dress levels are high. You are so comforting 💜💜
Absolutely stunning! And very helpful: Using the care to enhance the rough, varied texture in the tree trunks was brilliant, as was turning the painting upside down to put in the many smaller branches. Thank you.
What a beautiful painting! Love the colors. 😍I was watching this video because I would like to know how best to paint the trunk of a tree. I struggle with that every time. I think I'm being too precise. I want to do it just like in the picture. And that's my biggest problem. Hope you have a tip for me. Thank you so much, Karin.
@@KarenRiceArt Yes, I saw that one. But just now I saw the lovely painting of the bluebells. And the trees. I am happy to see how you painting the tree. I have no problems with the foliage. But with the tree trunk. You where very helpful Karin. Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much for another wonderful lesson jam packed with your magical techniques. So inspiring. When I look at the picture I think ‘no way this will ever come together. Not this time!’ but as always, it does, so beautifully.
I love your way of teaching - I’ve just started painting a couple of months ago and haven’t used masking fluid yet though I have it. I will be grateful if you could explain how to put it on and take it off🙏🏼
Wonderful! Thank you so much! Check out this video I made where I discuss about putting on and removing masking fluid. I hope you find it helpful: ruclips.net/video/jkAPTSiPyQA/видео.html :)
beautiful colours, will be starting on this one today. Can I make a request for a monochrome winter scene I enjoy trying all your tutorials, and want to try something that I might be able to get printed up as my christmas card for this year. Fingers crossed, and thanks Karen for making this so accessible.

I like this very much. I have one question though Karen, how do you manage to retain so much paint on your sharpened twig? When I try it, I find it's not worth doing because I have to go backwards and forwards to the palette so often
Beautiful, Karen! I love the golden lights you preserved! I have burnt umber, but not quinacridone gold. What would be some alternatives for QG? Thanks!
Beautiful painting💛🧡. Any chance of this painting and more could on PATREON? I would love to see more of your techniques on a slower paste💫🙏💞. Thank you and have a wonderful automnale day😊

Lovely painting. Could you use the sponge to paint the leaves that have fallen to the ground?
Loved this and how simply beautiful you teach. I’ve not had success masking. Can you demonstrate placing and removal of masking?
Thank you Sophie! Check out this video, I show how to put on masking fluid and remove it: ruclips.net/video/jkAPTSiPyQA/видео.html, hope you find it useful! :)
This is fantastic! All the value that you can get from only 2 colors. How long it take you to make that painting?
Thank you so much Annie, the painting took me about 90 minutes to paint :)
Thank you for the answer. It's an information that I like to have, it help me evaluate what can be reasonably attainable. I know that video always make it seem faster.
I like this very much. I have one question though Karen, how do you manage to retain so much paint on your sharpened twig? When I try it, I find it's not worth doing because I have to go backwards and forwards to the palette so often
Thank you! I think the more you use the twig, the less you have to go back and forth. Make sure you load it in a puddle of paint, that seems to help
very nice painting and inspiring too. Can you please tell me , what paper have you used ?
Thank you so much, I am using coldpressed paper 300 g. A list of the materials can be found in the description below the video. Happy painting :-)
Beautiful, Karen! I love the golden lights you preserved! I have burnt umber, but not quinacridone gold. What would be some alternatives for QG? Thanks!
You could use Raw Sienna 😊
