You folks have spoken loud and clear, and here's to hoping Pearl Abyss hears what you really want besides graphics and audio reworks: ruclips.net/video/jelKb6T7WpY/видео.html Keep your suggestions coming in ya'll. What would you like to see get reworked?
The enchanting system. Pure cancer and is the primary way to progress. Because of such a huge reliance on RNG, you have people who have been playing since the beginning unable to reach soft cap, yet you have players that have played for a few months surpassing softcap. Instead of fixing this actual problem, they instead throw bandaids in attempts to cover the gaping chest wound that the enchanting system is. This leads to issues of being unable to predict or control the progression of the population for future content... then against all the content is just mindless mob grind so it all feels the same. Rework the damage system. get rid of the stupid bonuses for already having more stats and instead rebalance the states themselves. Make the gear less impactful, to emphasize the combat system and the ability for skill to fully show through thanks to it.
I got returning bonus active on my account, and can't even be bothered logging into the game. It doesen't need a graphic update, they just need to start listening to what the players actually want's but they don't give a fuck, just go throw some more money at em in their ever growing p2convinience store
Coop content. Dungeons or something man. The only thing to do in combat is grind (and get killed by 60+ players anywhere worth farming) or world bosses, boring asf. The game is only good if you enjoy lifeskilling imo.
BDO is a great game. If you have a lot of money to spend on it. Every mechanic in the game is carefully created to take money from you. Remaster that....
well i think its a game worth paying for, maybe not thousands of dollars but a couple hundred. The concept, graphics and intricacy are just way ahead of other games.
The game really needs some overhaul of a few systems and it could be fucking great, but everyone wants to give excuses as to why kakao can never fix glaring issues.
Why though? The game already is one of the best visually, the reason people are leaving the game is the content. A content overhaul would've made much more sense and shelving this for much later.
Beats me. PA are obsessed with making the game the best aesthetically and that works in their market. Feedback in other regions don't matter apparently
its a shame id gladly pay to play this game its like everything i want except they dont have a proper end game and if they just had armor drops that look cool like every other mmo out there id be hooked
Is was until it got more stupid that I can't progress ant further unless I pay However, that one day I decide to plat MHW on PC and it was a shit ton of fun and no need to pay to win for RNG or Pay DLC......IT ALL FREE and I glad I switch
It's not about having to pay because you don't need to, but the core concept of that game is a Korean style mmo which is a massive grind, gear based game which caters to a select group of people. (No lifers)
I mean this is exactly why we quit, they themselves *don't understand* what their game needs, even though the community is CLEARLY telling them right in front of their eyes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Erek K They need to add actual pve content and not just mindless mob grinding >_>. I'm talking actual fucking dungeons and raids that need multiple players to take on.
YES I RLY WANT DUNGEONS but i feel it takes away from the open world and you’d probably have to ride to an area and then enter to keep the world experience i guess idk not it’s opening a menu and queueing
yes I had all the classes in the game to at least level 56. and my main was 59 @50% xp with full boss gear and wep at tri. I played for about 2 years on and off I think. You're right most mmo's have grind. But my problem was that grind was the *only* thing to do when it came to pve. I personally don't count world bosses as pve. It's a shame because I loved the combat. i just wish I could do more with it than killing trash mobs over and over. I'll be honest now that i'm talking about it again. I kinda wanna install it again. Maybe i'll wait for this remaster update to check it out.
No PVE content. Other than its simple Quest system up to a certain point and then it's nothing but snoozefest open PVP. Obviously all the microtransactions is another killer but without End Game content for PVE their player base will continue to stay small
Brandon T. I don't know how small there player base actually is. From what I've last heard thier player base is one of the biggest in mmos if you combine all the regions.
The game is cheap entry, amazing at first then becomes epic then it somehow becomes not your first choice than ya never turn it on again. This remaster wont change that.Get a end game!!!
Brandon T. Well I asume you have links proving it has a small player base or you probably also just heard . Please link because I'm interested in knowing the actual numbers
Pretty good game BDO is, i only dislike the total RNG enhancement system + pay to win pearl store. if the store gets adjusted and the enhancement system reworked this could be one of the best mmo's.
Its only P2W because of the artisans memory which if you use, repairs 4 times the amount if you would of used a memory fragment without the artisan, this only applies to boss gear aka the most important gear. the rest of the stuff is purely pay for convinience imo including pets/weight/inventory slots. Change my mind.
Wow, they're remastering... the only thing that nobody really complains about in BDO because it's one of the most visually stunning MMOs that exist. Great. Wish they would revamp gear upgrade system instead. That building failstacks nonsense is a huge pain and it replaces time you could be enjoying the combat or actually advancing life skills with a potentially endless chore.
I wish they would have reworked their whole crafting and upgrading system instead. That's really the whole issue keeping me from coming back to the game. I simply cannot stand the upgrade system.
to be honest the enhance system its not that hard for me, after returning to the game and in 1 and half month now i got more than 35+ artisan workers, 2 T8 horses, get full boss armor 2 pieces TRI 2 DUO, and i have a lot of boss weapon, in a day i can make like 200m or so if im crazy enough, but unfortunately my goal only like 70~100m, and i can make 40m an hour, bdo its a great game, the key its how smart you are playing the game
Graf Vladumir then more than 5k players will do the same as mine to get rich, but it wont happen otherwise i will get a hard time to get money, because if everyone just do the same you will run out the resources and you will get rekt then need to think another step how to get money, the conclusion is this game its huge and a lot of thing that you can do while active/inactive and even you are AFK you can make money from it, all you need just think how and be smart, if you follow where the others sheep going, well you will not getting rich but you will always stick on that point, so you have to make your own guide, the example a workers empire, in my position i need all of em giant no matter what, because im only be able playing couple hours a day, different player different strategy (sorry if my english was bad)
The reason I left was because the gear system I just found it ridiculous the enhancement system is just extremely dumb, why isn't it like the mobile version??? And drop rate and sniping off markets and then everyone fighting for grind spots. It's just dumb
I quit BDO all because it got to the point where its like ok... i enchant all my gear... im strong... i could fight world bosses... but what after that... what does that achieve? so all in all theres not enough satisfaction to justify me paying $20 a month or even spending my time on it.
I played this game a year ago. And I quit in April. When I had clicked on this video, I was really hoping they would be fixing important things about the game. It's a real bummer they aren't.
I kinda wish they... REDONE the Loot system/Enchant System little bit... Like Completely new loot Equipment, more "Tier Loot" even add some Dungeons? Heck a Endless Dungeon that just keeps going and going, would had been alot of fun, with random boss here and their.
More tier loot is the worst thing you could suggest, all it would do is render everything below it obsolete and prolong the grind unnecessarily, not to mention, completely destroy the games already lacking balance. Endless dungrons tho.. i love that
You get some sense of it what endless dungeon could be and so much more from Helms's Location, that places GO really Deep and was really fun to explore. Gear Wise that is big issue, cause alot of players feel VERY Behind, since getting to Tri-TET Boss Gear literally can take.... a YEAR if not longer, that not including everything else that can be done in the game. And all of it is just locked behind in game Luck Money wall. I wish their was just someway... to do anything in the game that gets you towards that TET Set. Also it would had been interesting to have more Gear that kinda locked behind, LeveL ? just like we saw jewelry/accessories? I just think the Loot System between 1-60 needs to be revamped. To get people into more Areas... Cause honestly with all the expansions and more areas coming out what point of exploring if you cant go anywhere past the fast 2 zone areas. Most of World Map is locked behind the top 10% Gear. Also it would had been cool that if in certain areas we could get more of, "No Man's Land" Were murdering/killing one another is okay and looting the Trade goods without suffering Karma penalties. Which increase value of trade goods even further, also some kind of version for the Pirating in Sea would been awesome as well.
IMO they should add servers that are sorted on GS, so players can decide if they either want to join a server with all GS approved or a server that has a GS range from 400-450 for example, so some players can atleast enjoy some proper PVP on grinding spots.
I like how they make it looks like it has a story with all their trailers & shit , & at the end its just a grind fest with 0 story , & the story aint even worth to do , 10/10
Me too. It's even funnier when you know the game actually had a decent story in beta and after launch. Not great just decent. But it was "to hard to follow" and "was slowing progress by forcing people to do quests" so they listened to the whiny bunch and butchered it. And now we have this grind fest.
+DigitalBladez And the: - P2W Cash Shop - Piss easy enemies (which are hopefully being addressed somewhat?) - Everyone farming in the same 2 - 3 locations - Not so great optimization
So they didn't address the terrible RNG on gear advancement (their accessory system... WTF man), the blatant P2W cash grabs, the issue of always having to be online for lifeskill/worker empire, the lack of challenge in the world... But the graphics, which most people with high PC's already struggled on, is getting even more of a face lift... um okay? The game basically relies on open world PvP, but I was almost never attacked in open world, especially after the crappy karma patch. I played for over a year, and I can't recall a single significant open world PvP encounter. They should either encourage open world PvP more or add more depth to the PvE system, as it stands now, the game is just boring 99% of the time.
I feel like I log on lately to just jump around and then log off. They keep messing with classes so much lately that I lost the drive to pvp and I dont feel like running my pc 24/7 to lifeskill, plus everything in the game just ends up as a way to further the pvp. You should've seen my electric bill before and after I quit.
It's get ganked, team up and drive the solo PvPers off (before they gank your lowest level/geared friend), or gank for yourself. Hard to enjoy PvP in a game that punishes you for participating while also having massive objective statistical advanages to anyone that paid/RNG their way into higher levels/gear.
do yourself a favor and stay away from this game, unless you are ready to spend 100$ monthly and dump all ur time in a p2w whale milking game that shits on the old community with every content update(Xd)
Alexandru Nicolae I've been playing since launch and only spent around 200-250 total. Well worth it cuz I have thousands of hours into this game. You don't need to put much money to have fun in this game if you play for a long time
I just reinstalled this game overnight to give it another shot, then woke up to this video. It's a sign! Haha. Really awesome video again, you do a great job with giving a lot of information and good footage of gameplay.
JiggleSquidGaming I've been where you are. I gave up on the game in the beginning. Everything was confusing as hell. Just too much. But if you stick with it and enjoy it in your own pace. You'll love it.
Mattias Widegren Exactly, at first they just throw all of this stuff at you to teach you the game but it's just too much haha. Thank you for the advice though, I'm excited to give it another go!
JiggleSquidGaming no problem mate! This game takes time. Just let it do so and you wont regret it. That said... this game isnt flawless. It has problems. But all mmos do. This and wow are the best mmo's I ever played. These two are the one's I currently are playing and will, for a long time. Ask me here on this comment if you have a question 😊
Mattias Widegren Is the game free? It lets me download but I feel like I have to pay. Also - do you know any good free mmorpgs? I don't really want to ask my parents to buy me another distraction from school
unlikely, I am yet to find a current MMO that can hook me, they all lack in a significan area be it questing, combat, economy or content. The more MMO/RPG/FPS sand-boxes we get the worse it's becoming for MMOs, their core gameplay loop has been stolen by superior experiences (xenoblade x, warframe, far cry, witcher/skyrim) that also allow you to enjoy a large volume of directed content and dont demand 100+ hours of play to max out a specific feature of a specific build of a specific class.
I was really happy to hear about the audio updates since I always found BDO lacking in that perspective. I'm surprised to hear that they hired the filharmonic of prague since they are one of the best and most renowned in the music industry. Amazing job on that!
One thing that wasn't mentioned and it was my biggest issue with BDO. Pop-In, even when playing on an SSD there was an obscene amount of object and texture pop-in when travelling through the world, even more when travelling using a mount.
So instead of making sure that more people will be able to play by optimizing it better, they decide to raise the bar so that even less people can have a smooth experience . I'm all for pushing the envelop and making your game as beautiful as it can be however this is an mmo. It lives and dies by how many people play it. And when you need a beast PC to play the game as it is meant to be played you lose a huuuuge part of the player base who cannot afford it or simply dont feel the need to invest to play this game when games like WoW, Gw2 and ff14 can run on potatoes and look pretty good. I was a week one player of BDO and played it for many months until I could no longer put up with the stupid RNG and the performance issues. At least with games like WoW and ff14 I know that my subscription ensures that I'm gonna have a well optimized games with no p2w or issues like that.
I honestly hope that they are telling the truth if thats the case. I dont play anymore so I dont really care but one thing I hated was how bad they were at communicating with the players. They never listened to our feedback. If they fix the optimization issues and make the game run properly then I might log in to see watch up but I wont hold my breath. Been burned too many times . And i wasnt even a f2p player . I tried to invest in that game cause I believed it was something special. But I cant support a company that doesnt care for its player base .The are too many games out there and publishers who listen to what the game needs, I won't waste my time and money on a publisher who only cares about showing how pretty his game is without adressing a ton of game breaking issues. If you are enjoying the game I envy you and wish you the best. However I cannot see past the problems it has....
Yeah don't worry the lack of communication and followup on promises is as lacking and hollow as always. There was a thread in the Maehwa forums where one of the GMs replied saying they'll take the list of suggestions to the board but the class balancing season for the year has already ended which means nothing'll be changed. BDO is one of those games where you either like it for what it is or you don't. Especially since it's an Asian MMORPG, you can't expect it to change based on Western community demands. Along with the CC revamp and the Renown score shenanigans, which the community expressed extreme animosity towards, were pushed through without trouble. The CC revamp made it easier to CC and get CCed, and with the Renown Score thing and further AP scaling buff and DP/DR nerfs, the game is currently running the meta of one CC one hit KO to the ground. This isn't what any "fighting" game should be aiming for, or any game looking for "balance" and "skill" for that matter. Of course the community doesn't want these things either, hey, the game isn't a democracy, if you can't deal with the politics you just have to stop playing. I enjoy the game more than the politics so yeah whatever, though I do curse the developers every time I get KOed with one skill while having 400 evasion and 348 DP lol. TLDR: If you didn't like the game because of the politics and imbalance, don't come back and waste your time, it's a hellhole.
It's nice to be able to have a civilized conversation on the internet for once :p i honestly wish the best for the game as I believe it to have great potential. It's just not for me. The rng alone is enough to make a person quit as it can make weeks of grinding obselete due to bad luck. I guess imma stick with good old wow for now . At my age I dont have that much free time anyway so I enjoy a more guided experience :p
Wait, one of the best looking MMOs to date is getting a remastered edition? They clearly have a lot of money to reinvest into the game. Good on Pearl Abyss.
Ya, pop in is terrible. How bout fixing that instead of making an already good looking game look better.... Edit: @Ace; Oh sorry, I'm supposed to use 3rd party guides to change something that should be in the graphics settings. Ya sorry, no dice. I'll play something else thank you.
but that is a feature not a problem XD. well, they did speak of optimization for it to run better, maybe they finally hired someone who knows how to program a graphics engine and he fixed the godawful memory management
Main reason I quit. If my gear gets Tri and upgrade fails and goes back to PRI then I'm pissed. Until gear upgrade is fixed I'm not playing. Don't care how pretty the game looks or sounds, if I can't kill cuz my gear lvl keeps getting downgraded then I'm wasting my time
Damn those music. The music is a bigger upgrade than the graphics TBH. But still. The game's already has good graphics but they never "remastered" the things that is slowly killing this game. So sad. I really want to try the game again for the music but I remember nothing\s change in the crappy combat and RNG. NVM
Been keen on male ranger since it's weapons were datamined. a proper pure ranged class finally :P Crossbow/magic gauntlet + Greatbow awakened. Even if its awhile off still im preppin for him now :P
I play bdo really casually because I dont have the time, money and nerves to be a hardcore pvp player. And guess what? Its not that big of a problem for me. I enjoy just grinding till end of pve and playing the game alone. Bdo is actually a very relaxing game if u dont take it too much seriously. The currents visuals and soundtrack are great and will be even better after the update. I cant wait!
what really caught my attention is the one where you can send alternate character into a mission... this was just the biggest what if in my mind the whole time... now it was answered...
Impactful PvP for non-siege level players, actual PvE endgame, desync for serious players. For more casual/newer players, make boss gear/tet/tri acc easier to get. I dont think a single player has picked up bdo and quit because the 'graphics werent good enough' or 'the sound wasnt beautiful enough'. Good job.
Please add a damn balance pvp system. This game is so frustrating because it's all about gear progression and 0 story. I hardly even get immerse into the story at all..this game can learn a thing or two from gw2.
I enjoyed GW2 but the combat system is horribly simplistic, 1 weapon spam attack, 4 weapon cooldowns, one heal, one "ult", 3 "open/class abilities". No combos, minimal positioning, braindead AI, poorly scaled public quests, heavily restricted inventory, limited weapon options. pretty, great world but actually playing a character was boring as hell, by the time you hid mid-levels you had your preferred skill set-up and rarely had cause to change it. Simple to optimise and totally lacking in depth.
IMMentat I mean 90% if what you said is complete bullshit so you either never learnt how to play or you’re just lying. Or maybe you played it 6 years and think nothing’s changed. No combos? That’s just untrue. There are A LOT of combos in gw2. Heck, there are even ‘combo fields’ in GW2. Positioning is extremely important in PvP and organised PvE, much more important than in most mmo’s (eg. Wow). You can’t have a ‘preferred build’ you never change by the time you hit mid-level because you’ve not even unlocked your elite specs so you can’t even test like most of the relevant builds. Your inventory is not restricted. It’s much more restricted in most MMO’s (unless you never got good bags in which case you can only blame yourself). Scaling is very good, I have no idea what you’re talking about. AI can be ‘braindead’ at times, but it depends on what you’re exactly talking about.
It seems like youve not played the pvp aspect of gw2. it's definitely way more versatile then bdo with tweaking builds and swapping of both weapons. Not to mention it is more immersive in pvp with WvW. Moreover, it takes real skills to win fights in gw2 because bdo is always gear>skill. The mechanics is gw2 is very well thought of and every skill has a unique way to combat different classes.
Daniel Delgado I get what you mean. But if you don't like the game how it is now. Its time to abandon the ship mate. The developers doesn't give a damn about the player's opinions. You should know that by now.
Around 5:25 we see the director at the end doing a gesture that to me looks like "what piece of shit that was". "I was born three times and I died three times" Then how are you talking, lady? That makes you currently dead.
Well, even if she was dead it would still make sense if we think about the lore. Since she was a witch who placed a curse on Soldier's grave which raised the skeletons from death so I wouldn't be surprised if she was dead too but still not quite
Noticed a lot of people knocking PA for the graphic revamp, but let's be honest here. The main reason BDO gained traction around its release was because it had some of the best graphics people could find across all gaming genres at the time. Today, multiplayer games like Anthem make BDO's current graphics look dated. So if they don't update their moneymaker, then demand will fall once people realise that BDO's graphics aren't as special in comparison to today's games. Besides, all you vets will have something fresh to look at and who knows, maybe even life skilling might be easier to endure actively with the company of birds and the bees in the background.
First off Anthem isn't an MMO. So comparing a game that isn't one won't work. BDO is the only MMO on the market that has the best graphics. www.vg247.com/2018/06/09/biowares-anthem-not-mmo/ www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/79xyu4/is_anthem_an_mmo_or_just_an_instanced_shared_world/
The Viking Studios Never said Anthem was an mmo, although it does appeal to the multiplayer market. I was never comparing the two games in structure, I was comparing them in graphics. Therefore, I can compare the two because they're both games. Anthem not being an "mmorpg" has nothing to do with the fact that it and many other releases from this & next year already do & will make BDO's graphics look outdated. As I stated above, BDO wasn't solely popular during launch because it was the best looking mmorpg, it was popular because it provided graphics which hadn't been matched by most games at that time. If it wasn't so special/eye-catching at the time then it wouldn't have been as appealing despite it being the most visually pleasing mmorpg. Not to mention all the visually stunning mmorpgs set to release soon as well. PA is only doing what any brand would do to maintain their success. They're ensuring that they maximise the potential of what sets them ahead of their competitors in many of their consumers eyes & that isn't the story, the grind or the mechanics in the game, it's the graphics. This is clearly a business move that shows that they still have interest in making BDO a profitable IP. So sit back, relax, take the fresh eye candy and wait to see what they use their workforce on next.
i always love the feeling of this game, and now they taking that feeling to an even further extend, but, that doesnt change the fact that i have nothing to do in this game
I think this game need to change it's always online policy. Abusive micro transaction model, with overpriced costumes, pet system, weight limit, inventory and warehouse space. No to mention it's LATAM and Brasil server not including Merv's palette on the Value Pack, no weight limit for loyalty points and more. This game sadly it's design to be a cash grab, I bet if they move to a subscription based model they would have more players willing to just pay for subscription.
BDO's one of those games that PA knew very well from the beginning, was made to make as much money as possible by designing in-game systems that required either money for convenience or grinding if not. It's a dollars and cents game above anything else, and while some of us hate that, their player numbers says otherwise. As a result, it will continue the way it is.
I know, and that's fine with Asian market, which has confirmed again and again they are OK with that type of business model. But let me say that western market is very different. All the lootbox system hate and consequences prove that western market looks for something else. In time this game will die in the western regions as people start to move to different game with appropriate business models. Not to mention the always online policy this game has, that in the long term makes the game feel like an actual job just to make some progress. Having to download apps to control your PC from work or somewhere else just to keep processing. I assure you, if Kakao game and RedFox don't rethink this approach it will fail, big time.
If they want to make money this ain't the best way to do it, you think wow and ffarr make less money than BDO in the west or even globally? But I guess money milking systems are called good game development these days.
I will say that ui changes would definitely be welcomed. When I first started that game I didn’t know wtf I was doing and it definitely wasn’t the most intuitive system and while they could be considered minor hiccups it definitely breaks your immersion and experience when you’re forced to stop playing and look up how to do this or find that simply because the game is laid out poorly.
Okay but will my dandelion III drop to I with +70 damn stacks plus the damn orbes? I think the answer is yes unless you do it 1000000 times champ, most occidentals don't have patience for that including me, the gear system was to me the reason I left bdo (and the pay to win) what about you?
Everyones talking about how much money you need to spend to play BDO, I've reached 10k hours on NA and I still haven't spent any money. Got all pets, Value Packs, etc off the MP. Still no problems whatsoever.
The problem with this game wasn't the graphics, it was the time sink and how you have to shell out lots of cash if you want to bypass said time sink. The game is so beautiful and I enjoyed just wondering around, but most of the game is just that. There is so much grind! It wasn't fun enough to justify the time and/or money. But that's just my opinion.
he not garbage he just doesn’t feel welcome and same w me the gear gap is too huge and the game focuses way to much on gear, skill only matter when u have a gs of 550+ lol
Really good point. BDO's story to me felt like an empty shell. Words being spoken over a series of quests that mean nothing coherent. Story is big for me when it comes to MMOs, and I hope BDO's revamp of it will make it more engaging.
GRM Adrian I think they didn't capitalize on the story at all. You can't really convey it through PvP (the main point of the game anymore), and the quests aren't really that good ... They need some form of structured PvE. Such as dungeons, but doesn't have to be ESO or WoW-like. Could be zone-related story objectives with a group, etc. Honestly could do somewhat like WoW dungeons/raids because at least they kind of have a story lol.
Yeah that's a great suggestion really. And you're right it's not about trying to copy what other games do for group content. Hope PA has the foresight to realize this if and when they think about shaking things up for PvE group content.
GRM Adrian I really hope so. I played BDO years ago when it launched in KR. It was so fun, until you got to 55+... Then, for people who don't like PvP a lot drop off. Just like NA
The trailer at the end seemed interesting, where she’s asking about what truly lies beneath the desert and what not, some stuff that sort of drew me in a bit. I haven’t played a whole lot of BDO but that trailer was pretty sick from a RPG stand point! I agree with you though, if bdo was more rpg I would enjoy it much more
Let's stay classy and leave the savage words such as "mentally impaired." or "Blind" too FFxiv players they're known for that, i wear glasses and have depression so it hurt being called by both
I know I'm certainly a minority in thinking this, but I'd like to see the exploration based game-play fleshed out more. I just feel that if the game has such a large loading-less map and graphics/sound design like it does, there should be more exploration based quests and activities to highlight the views/scenes this game can offer. Maybe even have it as a new path for people to be able to level up with, like that of production and combat. But then again the main other MMORPG I play is GW2, so I could be entirely wrong and trying to make a suggestion that would be outside the game's intended design. also sidenote: anyone remember the pickpocket mechanic, that one used to get furniture and clothing recipes? should anything be done to improve/ expand on a thieving style of gameplay? Again, complete minority here, but I figure I should point out the really not obvious things that are in / could be a possibility in the game, since the others are covered by everyone else here already.
Still a grind fiesta and RNG prone game. Nothing new here. BDO end game is grind, grind and grind. PVP still unbalanced even after months of nerfing dead classes.
All of my issues with BDO, and the soundtrack and graphics were not among them. Adding PvE servers, and an actual PvE endgame is what it would take to get me back into BDO.
Now just add some thing else to do except grind same mobs over n over :P pretty cool tho, still not enough to make me lose my life again. Shame really is best MMO - just add some meaningful PVE - i know it would be hard but its whats missing in my book
Wonderful gameplay and graphics, but no PVE content. Also, too much pay to win... Lots os money to carry more than some items and collect loot in decent pace... Nice...
There's some great changes there, but not the one that I wanted which made me stop playing... I couldn't believe how much clutter there is all over the screen, there is like crap everywhere.. I'm trying to concentrate on playing the game, but there's little boxes of crap everywhere and dialog... while everyone is chucking off at Bless Online, I actually bought it 2 days ago for $10 and there's hardly any clutter anywhere... just the way it should be... so at the moment until they clean that up, I'll stick with Bless Online and other games.... Because the point is, I shouldn't have to... I'm so over all these MMO games that have crap everywhere and then you spend half an hour editing rubbish... totally unneccesary... every other pc genre doesn't have it... if they were free, then I wouldn't complain, but the fact I'm paying money for a game that I then have to totally change at the start just to play the thing is a pain in the butt... I'd rather move on to the next game...
I agree with almost every comment in this vid with what does BDO needs to be better. I want to add that they also need to make almost everything to be tradable
There is no "end game" in bdo because there is no end. It's an endless grind. Sure there is no dungeons or raids but those aren't the only things that make MMORPGs good. I've experienced things in BDO that I haven't in any other MMORPG and I've been playing MMORPGs for 13 years. I no longer play BDO but it's not because I dislike the game, it's because my friends play other mmos and I feel that playing with friends makes mmos that much more fun. The game has beautiful skill animations and engaging combat. The pvp heavily gear based and I believe that is what true mmorpg pvp should be. I've never been much of a life skiller in MMORPGs but this game makes it extremely rewarding and has opened me up to using life skills in other games too. There are many different ways to play this game but in the end Black Desert Online is a game of endless progression where your efforts show.
One question, will i have to purchase the game again like TESV Skyrim SE or it would be just an update, and if it is, will i start my progress from zero or i can transfer it later like BF4 PS3 and PS4 version??
OH MY GAWD SO COOL BTW to all who tempting to play BDO, the graphics isnt much problem because there is an adjustable graphics for u guys so it wont be hard for you to play enjoy
Too bad i stopped playing the game long time ago due to lack of content, glad they improved the things that were already great and didnt fix any of the problems that make people leave the game. Good job Pearl Abyss, keep it up
BDO sounded cool to me but then I played it and it was WAY too grindy for me. I eventually leveled a beast tamer up to the level that you do the pvp quest and I just haven’t touched the game since. I think the biggest issue that I had with the game is that you can’t trade things to other players. So when I was playing with friends we could never give each other items and most of my friends fell off the game and then I did too.
The sound absolutely needed an overhaul from the start but unless they have changed the focus of the game away from pvp and changed the business model to something more acceptable its not going to bring me back for long, if at all.
You folks have spoken loud and clear, and here's to hoping Pearl Abyss hears what you really want besides graphics and audio reworks: ruclips.net/video/jelKb6T7WpY/видео.html
Keep your suggestions coming in ya'll.
Pvp
Coop content. Dungeons or something man. The only thing to do in combat is grind (and get killed by 60+ players anywhere worth farming) or world bosses, boring asf. The game is only good if you enjoy lifeskilling imo.
BDO is a great game. If you have a lot of money to spend on it. Every mechanic in the game is carefully created to take money from you. Remaster that....
True. Money, and time.
BDO is largely just an Idle(incremental) game, hardly an MMO in any sense.
well i think its a game worth paying for, maybe not thousands of dollars but a couple hundred. The concept, graphics and intricacy are just way ahead of other games.
The game really needs some overhaul of a few systems and it could be fucking great, but everyone wants to give excuses as to why kakao can never fix glaring issues.
That and remastering the damn enhancing system which makes them lose players.
Why though? The game already is one of the best visually, the reason people are leaving the game is the content. A content overhaul would've made much more sense and shelving this for much later.
Beats me. PA are obsessed with making the game the best aesthetically and that works in their market. Feedback in other regions don't matter apparently
Content? You hope content of a korea game, you hope wrong place, wrong game
its a shame id gladly pay to play this game its like everything i want except they dont have a proper end game and if they just had armor drops that look cool like every other mmo out there id be hooked
Costs more money to add content than a few aesthetic changes. Koreans only know grinding in their games, not content.
The game is extremely popular in asian markets. The US they do not care about
Graphics are NOT the probleme of BDO...
Is was until it got more stupid that I can't progress ant further unless I pay
However, that one day I decide to plat MHW on PC and it was a shit ton of fun and no need to pay to win for RNG or Pay DLC......IT ALL FREE and I glad I switch
It's not about having to pay because you don't need to, but the core concept of that game is a Korean style mmo which is a massive grind, gear based game which caters to a select group of people. (No lifers)
jesse fernandez MHW is pay to win, I don't know what you are talking about.
SatoriZei lack of things to do together is problem
I mean this is exactly why we quit, they themselves *don't understand* what their game needs, even though the community is CLEARLY telling them right in front of their eyes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Need to improve the horribly unchallenging PVE and add a lot more gear options/skins.
Erek K They need to add actual pve content and not just mindless mob grinding >_>. I'm talking actual fucking dungeons and raids that need multiple players to take on.
Erek K yea for real. I hated that my character always looked the same
YES I RLY WANT DUNGEONS but i feel it takes away from the open world and you’d probably have to ride to an area and then enter to keep the world experience i guess idk not it’s opening a menu and queueing
Zwei Koreans don't like raids or such things, they only like the aoe grind.
If they ever gave us an endgame PVE content I'd be back in a heartbeat but we will never get it
Brandon T. I'm actually waiting for this so I can start playing BDO
if you want an endgame pve go play gw2^^
I couldn't care less tbh. I quit some months ago because I got tired of grinding and the rng
Slash Le Pew Most games in this genre will have grind more or less. Did you get to a high level?
yes I had all the classes in the game to at least level 56. and my main was 59 @50% xp with full boss gear and wep at tri.
@@christopherleetrejo hearing doesnt make it true.
The game is cheap entry, amazing at first then becomes epic then it somehow becomes not your first choice than ya never turn it on again. This remaster wont change that.Get a end game!!!
@@younghumphrey06 I enjoyed it up until I learned there's no end game other than guild pvp so then I quit
Not a fan of the RNG either
p2w Really so wait u can buy high end gear with IRL Money?
Daedric nope
Its only P2W because of the artisans memory which if you use, repairs 4 times the amount if you would of used a memory fragment without the artisan, this only applies to boss gear aka the most important gear. the rest of the stuff is purely pay for convinience imo including pets/weight/inventory slots. Change my mind.
And a side note, the artisans are for lazy people, if your not lazy you can make 200 memory fragments per week ez.
So much this. I'm not a big fan of it and it's specifically designed to be a chore.
same here I want to come back but I can't stand the enchanting since I'm at the point of going to TET
to be honest the enhance system its not that hard for me, after returning to the game and in 1 and half month now i got more than 35+ artisan workers, 2 T8 horses, get full boss armor 2 pieces TRI 2 DUO, and i have a lot of boss weapon, in a day i can make like 200m or so if im crazy enough, but unfortunately my goal only like 70~100m, and i can make 40m an hour, bdo its a great game, the key its how smart you are playing the game
Then make a Tutorial my friend... We all want to get the juicy silver coins to git gud at the game ;)
ERVOR Seems like you were just bad. Git gud
Homemade Baguette LMAO osu player keep talking.
I quit BDO all because it got to the point where its like ok... i enchant all my gear... im strong... i could fight world bosses... but what after that... what does that achieve? so all in all theres not enough satisfaction to justify me paying $20 a month or even spending my time on it.
W OR L Chairman why is it 20 a month? I thought it is a one time payment , buy to play game
Calpheon music always give chills
Yasmin Putrialifa same
and orgasms too
I played this game a year ago. And I quit in April. When I had clicked on this video, I was really hoping they would be fixing important things about the game. It's a real bummer they aren't.
The Calpheon City music... man, I teared up and shivered. When I first entered Calpheon, it felt just like that. The music man. Incredible.
My favorite theme in-game.
still nothing compared to the BGMs of Aion
IMO they should add servers that are sorted on GS, so players can decide if they either want to join a server with all GS approved or a server that has a GS range from 400-450 for example, so some players can atleast enjoy some proper PVP on grinding spots.
wow, that seems to be a very good idea. PVP on grinding spots was always boring to me
I like how they make it looks like it has a story with all their trailers & shit , & at the end its just a grind fest with 0 story , & the story aint even worth to do , 10/10
Me too. It's even funnier when you know the game actually had a decent story in beta and after launch. Not great just decent. But it was "to hard to follow" and "was slowing progress by forcing people to do quests" so they listened to the whiny bunch and butchered it. And now we have this grind fest.
Bloom simulator
Honestly the only thing holding this game back is the enhancement system
so true...i would instantly come back to BDO, if the enhancment would be less rng
DigitalBladez
The horrid story, the lore, the world isn't even that great
T3KKANッ there's 0 screen pop ins if u know how to set it
Agree with optimization but remastered should be better
+DigitalBladez And the:
- P2W Cash Shop
- Piss easy enemies (which are hopefully being addressed somewhat?)
- Everyone farming in the same 2 - 3 locations
- Not so great optimization
TrueDPS Its really not p2w but whatever suits your boay
Ikr, only time theres open world pvp is when you fight over a farming spot
It's get ganked, team up and drive the solo PvPers off (before they gank your lowest level/geared friend), or gank for yourself.
Hard to enjoy PvP in a game that punishes you for participating while also having massive objective statistical advanages to anyone that paid/RNG their way into higher levels/gear.
that's why I left it for runescape
This review comes in handy, just days before i wanted to buy the game
do yourself a favor and stay away from this game, unless you are ready to spend 100$ monthly and dump all ur time in a p2w whale milking game that shits on the old community with every content update(Xd)
Alexandru Nicolae I've been playing since launch and only spent around 200-250 total. Well worth it cuz I have thousands of hours into this game. You don't need to put much money to have fun in this game if you play for a long time
Alexandru Nicolae I think the game is fine without paying any extra money... Been playing for one and a half year without any extra payments
i spend the initial 10€ + 30€ for pets and i am softcapped, try something else.
Mattias Widegren Thank you again and will do! Have a good one! 😊👍
Mattias Widegren Is the game free? It lets me download but I feel like I have to pay. Also - do you know any good free mmorpgs? I don't really want to ask my parents to buy me another distraction from school
But did they make the game fun tho?
No and with the graphics improvement the combat will be worst than tera cs optimization
fghfghgg ffghv nothing is worse than tera cs optimization
unlikely, I am yet to find a current MMO that can hook me, they all lack in a significan area be it questing, combat, economy or content.
I can barely play bdo in the normal graphics, will it be worse now?
u can always turn off the high res texture i guess
Well said
Better optimization was promised as one of the additions along with the improvement in graphics.
TBH, I think this might have brought back my desire to play BDO again! This all looks and sounds so great!
Wait, one of the best looking MMOs to date is getting a remastered edition? They clearly have a lot of money to reinvest into the game. Good on Pearl Abyss.
money of the p2w players
Best looking game? Have you seen those pop-ins?
Domga u can remove all of them, youtube is FULL of guides, just use google and brain
Ya, pop in is terrible. How bout fixing that instead of making an already good looking game look better.... Edit: @Ace; Oh sorry, I'm supposed to use 3rd party guides to change something that should be in the graphics settings. Ya sorry, no dice. I'll play something else thank you.
Calpheon capital soundtrack is already amazing, but the new version is giving me goosebumps!
Will this solve the texture pop in?
the real question lol
God I hope so.
but that is a feature not a problem XD. well, they did speak of optimization for it to run better, maybe they finally hired someone who knows how to program a graphics engine and he fixed the godawful memory management
The 4k trailer actually had pop ins. so thats a no
GRM Adrian then it's a pass for me. ✌️
Unbelievably well done video, gonna bring me back to bdo because of this. Earned a sub.
i will never play this game again, with the gear and upgrade system being the way it is :\
you can make it as shiny as you want.
Exactly ! upgrade system based on random (and NO loot diversity!), no thanks, farewell Pearl Abyss
Yeah, it's easily the worst gear/progression system i've come across in any game. Anything else they change around it is pointless if it remains
Main reason I quit. If my gear gets Tri and upgrade fails and goes back to PRI then I'm pissed. Until gear upgrade is fixed I'm not playing. Don't care how pretty the game looks or sounds, if I can't kill cuz my gear lvl keeps getting downgraded then I'm wasting my time
Yea, i also dont like that you look like any other character except if you buy costume which is also the same other players who bought it
you can preorder upgraded gear from marketplace crybaby
Its nice to know the music from Korean game comes from Prague Orchestra Czech Republic :)
Complete with a new remastered cash shop I'd imagine ;)
I love how pearl abyss drop it on my bday. Im so happy now. Its a great bday gift.
4:41 I loved the moving way 😏😏
I play bdo really casually because I dont have the time, money and nerves to be a hardcore pvp player. And guess what? Its not that big of a problem for me. I enjoy just grinding till end of pve and playing the game alone. Bdo is actually a very relaxing game if u dont take it too much seriously. The currents visuals and soundtrack are great and will be even better after the update. I cant wait!
•女の子悲しい with that being said, what "pve" content is even available, other than running a circle at pirates or sausans
that and horse breeding, farming, crafting etc
i dunno i just find it entertaining and less stressful
what really caught my attention is the one where you can send alternate character into a mission... this was just the biggest what if in my mind the whole time... now it was answered...
Fun way to make use of alts you aren't playing for sure
BDO Remastered is looking good. What do you think?
To be True... i am stunned! And the new Score gave me Goosebumps!
i hope my potato will be able to run it... maybe u know where to find system req's for remastered version?
GRM Adrian No thanks
same shit than before
two 1180's and 30 fps
Impactful PvP for non-siege level players, actual PvE endgame, desync for serious players.
For more casual/newer players, make boss gear/tet/tri acc easier to get.
I dont think a single player has picked up bdo and quit because the 'graphics werent good enough' or 'the sound wasnt beautiful enough'.
Good job.
Please add a damn balance pvp system. This game is so frustrating because it's all about gear progression and 0 story. I hardly even get immerse into the story at all..this game can learn a thing or two from gw2.
Arsagard Lim BDO will never be as good as GW2 because all they care about is money.
You’ve also failed to mention that the weapon swap and profession-specific mechanics. GW2 isn’t nearly as simplistic as you’re making it out to be.
Dude, you sound like the main character off of Be More Chill. That's awesome! xD
*The Remaster will now be call "White Desert".*
Allready loved how the world looked, the audio updates tough are great,...
I literally gasped when I saw the stream. Remastered looking damn beautiful. The game already has amazing graphics. But this is gonna be breathtaking.
And completely fucking pointless.
Daniel Delgado Damn. The community of BDO, really are a sad and whining bunch.
Mattias Widegren literally nobody asked for this remaster. This game needs content and an overhaul of the upgrading system, not prettier graphics.
Daniel Delgado I get what you mean. But if you don't like the game how it is now. Its time to abandon the ship mate. The developers doesn't give a damn about the player's opinions. You should know that by now.
Mattias Widegren Oh, I left it a long time ago. This video just popped up on my feed and was like wtf
I can’t wait for this even though I can barely run the game at 60 FPS
Around 5:25 we see the director at the end doing a gesture that to me looks like "what piece of shit that was".
"I was born three times and I died three times" Then how are you talking, lady? That makes you currently dead.
looks more like he is happy and finally hearing what he wanted to hear all these years, like relieved from all the work
Hahaha i watch a ton of these - video games live anyone? - and rly, composers always have a resting bitch face for some reason
@LordMidichlorian "Then how are you talking, lady? That makes you currently dead." ...That was an astoundingly dumb/ignorant comment.
Well, even if she was dead it would still make sense if we think about the lore. Since she was a witch who placed a curse on Soldier's grave which raised the skeletons from death so I wouldn't be surprised if she was dead too but still not quite
I mean... If your heart stops beating, that means you died. Regardless of surviving due to CPR.
Just saying.
Exceptional. Male Ranger Cheers. Great addition. Thanks for the update Shalom.

Anthem makes bdo look dated? Anthem isn't even a proper mmo lol get outta here
Hopefully that will change with release of Justice Online in the west :P
But Black Desert looks absolutely awful in actual gameplay... It only looks good if you stand still.
BDO is not a cash grab lol simply because is a really well developed game if not the best MMO still, you want a good cash grab example? Bless Online.
That's nice. No word on console release? That's what I've been waiting on.
cant put lipstick on a pig
I will say that ui changes would definitely be welcomed. When I first started that game I didn’t know wtf I was doing and it definitely wasn’t the most intuitive system and while they could be considered minor hiccups it definitely breaks your immersion and experience when you’re forced to stop playing and look up how to do this or find that simply because the game is laid out poorly.
agreed, the current ui is cluttered and the new one will definitely clear things up
Aug. 22. Graphic requirements GTX 1080 - i7-7700 - 32RAM HAHAHAH
haha
Okay but will my dandelion III drop to I with +70 damn stacks plus the damn orbes? I think the answer is yes unless you do it 1000000 times champ, most occidentals don't have patience for that including me, the gear system was to me the reason I left bdo (and the pay to win) what about you?
all of this because of you all purchasing so a lot pearl XD
Everyones talking about how much money you need to spend to play BDO, I've reached 10k hours on NA and I still haven't spent any money. Got all pets, Value Packs, etc off the MP. Still no problems whatsoever.
yey lets reroll another character get to lvl 60 and quit cuz there is no end game pvp yay
Game is still a boring grind and full of pk griefers and other toxic players. Guild chat is the only time I feel welcome in game.
jscheetz03 you’re just garbo
It has plenty of PvE content like trading and housing and crafting that I enjoy. Endgame isn't the only part of a game that matters to players.
there's your proof already hahaha triggered kids playing bdo :))
he not garbage he just doesn’t feel welcome and same w me the gear gap is too huge and the game focuses way to much on gear, skill only matter when u have a gs of 550+ lol
grow a pair maybe
I liked BDO before, i'll like it even more now. Thank you pearl abyss for improving already awesome game even further.
Wish they would improve the storyline... :( Half of the fun of a MMORPG is the RPG content and BDO is a awful RPG...
I agree with you though, if bdo was more rpg I would enjoy it much more
i want to like this game, just the learning curve is unreal, dont understand nodes or anything lol, might give it a go and start again on the 22nd
But they just made it blurry with some extra reflections you don't need a year for that, just a regular old ENB
Kamel Kadri oh c'mon. Are you blind??
>implying a low res video can show what exactly the graphics will look like
Let's stay classy and leave the savage words such as "mentally impaired." or "Blind" too FFxiv players they're known for that, i wear glasses and have depression so it hurt being called by both
Kamel Kadri ffxiv players are known for that.
Classy, m8
Kamel Kadri Don't say stupid shit then...
On a side note. If this ever came to console I’d literally play nothing else. Thoughts?
*PAY TO WIN* (REMASTERED)
Yeah, the few exploration based quests that there are are pretty nice. I wish they expanded that as well.
Now just add some thing else to do except grind same mobs over n over :P
pretty cool tho, still not enough to make me lose my life again. Shame really is best MMO - just add some meaningful PVE - i know it would be hard but its whats missing in my book
Honestly, the "Graphics revamp" just looks like they turned the bloom from 1 to 2
Wonderful gameplay and graphics, but no PVE content. Also, too much pay to win... Lots os money to carry more than some items and collect loot in decent pace... Nice...
...I'm nearly tempted to come back.
I'd rather move on to the next game...
i don't get it, you can just edit the ui at any time and even save different settings.
Uh you can turn off just about everything in the ui. I only have my hp mana hotkeys and the minimap.
???????????????????????????
You can edit your ui you doofus.
LUL BLESS ONLINE
Can u move ur buffbar oder disable it?
Thanks a lot to share this.
I agree with almost every comment in this vid with what does BDO needs to be better. I want to add that they also need to make almost everything to be tradable
Hopefully it'll fix the things popping in and also fuzzy edge distance
the 4k trailer couldn't hid the popping in and clipping, so that's a no sadly
This might bring me back to the game.
I really love BDO for its graphics, but I feel like there is not really a big story? Maybe I missed something (very often)?
One question, will i have to purchase the game again like TESV Skyrim SE or it would be just an update, and if it is, will i start my progress from zero or i can transfer it later like BF4 PS3 and PS4 version??
keep it at ! Great crisp quality
Always found BDO to be badly optimised in some areas, hopefully this will be fixed and I will get back into it :)
this music quality is insane!
Soooo is it still money maker online or.....
OH MY GAWD SO COOL BTW to all who tempting to play BDO, the graphics isnt much problem because there is an adjustable graphics for u guys so it wont be hard for you to play enjoy
Graphics is appealing for Action (mainly FPS) gamers, but not so much for dedicated Mmorpg players. Alot of other comments here conclude that.
I played this game for a while but no one could ever tell me where the black desert is.
when they say improve the graphics does this also mean accompanied optimisation so I can play it better than 15fps on medium to mid-high settings
That marketplace app sounds lit.
So when I was playing with friends we could never give each other items and most of my friends fell off the game and then I did too.
thx for this. interested to see whats new. im getting a new pc soon so hopefully it'll be able to support the game :D
no problem bro =)
The sound absolutely needed an overhaul from the start but unless they have changed the focus of the game away from pvp and changed the business model to something more acceptable its not going to bring me back for long, if at all.
So if you own BDO, this will just be a patch, you don't need to buy a Remastered version right?
