Good choice) MacBook Air is pretty good. It’s thin and powerful, but also it is a beautiful laptop) What comes to my opinion about cases for MacBook, their main task “saving laptop in condition of first look” will be failed in years. Yes, you won’t break your laptop during the long-day usage (and even that is possible😅), but the dust from area around us could be harmful too to the MacBook. If the dust will get into contact with the surface of your MacBook under the case it will be erased in different parts of your laptop. I say it, because I use my IPad Pro for 2 years now. And my iPad is now covered by micro-scratchers at the hole back of iPad. The surface of MacBook is similar, don’t repeat my mistake. Don’t use case! Save your Mac!❤
Hard cases add weight to the lid and obstructs the macbook from completely closing, which damages the hinge over time. You might want to consider a skin instead
@@michelle_riva paper thin ones are fine, but screen protectors arent really needed. You dont touch the macbook's screen the same way with phones. But if you still want to put one, avoid the thick tempered glass ones, because they also obstruct closing the macbook, causing hinge and screen damage.

what about screen protectors?
Never ever put a screen protector if you want to use for long time and not want to sell in a month
