It was really fun hearing Ossify talk about the experience of going up against your favourite player as a very high level player himself. I feel like that's not really talked about as much but it's a super relatable feeling I would imagine.
I'm pretty sure I wobbled Ossify to death at-least once when I was like 14 so this is so insane for me to learn that Ossify is super good now :D In contrast, my skill has stayed about the same XD So happy to see they've made it!

CV: I've never been to bigger tournies, and only been to a few locals, the one of the first I went to I was out immediately, Pizza got delivered from the host (we each bought a share) and when he called pizza was there, not a person moved (pretty much everyone got a slice) and just watching everyone focus on their friendlies and the 1 tournament match and unfazed by pizza, I knew I was with my people and felt like I belonged...
CV: So many to pick from, but I gotta shout out my guy na10 (Nathan) here. I hosted a house (apartment) tournament called Rise & Shine, a local brunch invitational where I made food for eight players, four local community MVPs picked by me and four qualified. Great time, starts at 9:00am, everybody is out before 2:30pm. Anyway, na10 landed the nastiest zero-to-death Samus combo out of bracket right as everybody was leaving. Some crazy reads and a full charge shot to end the combo and the game. Pretty much everybody there saw it, but it wasn't recorded on a recording setup. At the time I was bummed, but the imperfect memory of the combo and everybody leaving in a great mood is a very lovely memory of its own now.
CV: Went to an anime con a few years ago that had a mystery game tournament. Its a format my friends love to host and enter in so we decided to join. One of my friends made it to grand finals and had to play a game called “Ehrgeiz god bless the ring”. It was a PS1 arena fighter featuring many FF7 characters. My friend decided to pick sephiroth saying “he has to be the best character” then proceeded to instantly loose because they were extremely slow trying to summon a meteor as an attack.
CV: One time I was at a Nebulous local (RIP) for Project M and I was playing Switch, my favorite PM player and greatest Wolf player in the world. While we were playing (he was obviously destroying me), he started comboing me and then Gallo (another amazing NYC PM player) called out to him from across the room and asked him a question, apparently not aware that Switch and I were playing a tournament set. Switch, mid-combo, took his eyes off the screen, turned his head, answered Gallo's question, then looked back at the screen and finished the combo to kill me, without dropping any part of it even while his head was fully turned away from the CRT. He is my GOAT
