    1. Get rid of what no longer serves you
    2. Set clear expectations
    3. Scale vertically, not horizontally
    4. Change your crowd
    5. Don't overbook your calendar
    6. Do not gossip
    7. Build the right daily habits
    8. Give, give, give, give some more, and then ask
    9. Don't try to be everything to everyone

      Explain #3

    • @oceearts7992
      @oceearts7992 4 года назад +5

@@severusfloki5778 It means that normally, we try to think of growth in the terms of "how many things can I add to my life to make it better?" The thing is that we find all these things that are supposed to change our lives and add them all at once thinking that by adding more things to our lives, we will become better. The problem with this is that more often than not, we don't spend as much time developing these things that we add to our lives one by one. Instead, we are too busy finding new stuff to add. That is scaling horizontally.
To scale vertically, we still get pieces to add to our lives but we start with a few of them. Instead of flitting from one thing to another without fully developing them, we go in-depth and make sure that we completely solidify one thing in our lives before moving on to add the next.
With that, you'll see more progress down the line because of the fact that you have taken the time to work one one aspect before proceeding to another
      I hope this helps. Have a nice day/afternoon/evening 😊

@@oceearts7992 You can simplify all of that by saying...don't add on more things at once.

This video offers overall fine conventional wisdom. Just a few things I would add: 1. don’t throw out the shirt, donate, or better still don’t get it in the first place. 2. There is a function of gossiping in social life like exchanging valuable info and bonding. Gossip sparingly and constructively. 3 do not keep giving if you are in an abusive relationship.

I need more clarity on 8 and 9. I feel like I give to exhaustion and can’t balance my 8 with my 9.

    • @RuiChui

#9 is, to some extent, an integration of #1, #2 and #4. Maybe you should get rid of flaky relationships (#1) and find other fulfilling ones (#4), so that when you "give, give, give" in your relationship efforts (#8) you can fulfill your own expectations (#2) on what means to be in satisfying relationships.
I hope that my view could help clarify your dilemma.

All exceptional advice. I have quite a bit of trouble keeping things simple, there’s a lot I need to work on and I get lost within the list and discourage myself a lot due to that.
A part of me wanting to be myself, a lot of it is wanting to help others, in which, I focus on that more than myself. Even though I need to better myself, I have troulbe untangling myself from that.

i relate, however i think what has resonated with me is the verticle perspective. If i just focus deeply on one thing the other things i feel i need to work on will sort themselves out - as it makes life simpler and easier to make real progress and change on. Wishing us all the best!'

    1. Give away stuff to charity, particularly clothing. If you itemize taxes, particularly look into charity deductions.
3: Amazon, (although I still don’t see how buying homes fits into their business model).
