Some of the healthiest and beautiful Discus I have seen.
I noticed many were also interested in your background, like myself. I just bought it from Amazon.com for $2.99/ft. I hope it looks as good in person on my aquarium as it does on yours. Your Discus have amazingly bright colors. A very Happy tank, good job!

This is just gorgeous! So soothing. I have a 10 gallon freshwater tropical tank and a 29 gallon goldfish tank. They are no comparison to this one. I love my fish, and I love taking care of them. Great job!

Your tank is phenomenal, not only does it look amazing but your fish are so healthy, active and happy. You've actually created such a perfect environment, your combination of fish is so great, you've put a lot of attention on making sure that your discus are not only the focal point but that the supporting cast fits in perfectly as well. I'm planning on setting up a discus tank of my own within the next year or so and will definitely look to your theme for inspiration.

This is just BEAUTIFUL man! This removes any doubt I had about setting up a large freshwater system over saltwater. My dream is a 220g tank with malawian cichlids. But I may have to set up a tank for discus too, as I love that they are compatible with those beautiful schools of tetras!

I love the color contrast. Plants or no plants, this tank is gorgeous. I simply love discus but I'm still a novice in the aquarium world. Once I get more growth (yes i do have plants) I'll post a video.

I'm in VA too. I've seen discus at independently owned and operated pet stores. NOT MANY, but people DO carry them.

I work at Pet Supermarket in Stuart, Florida. We get a few discus in every week. And they sell so quick because we have an excellent source.

I do love the center piece of wood, it complements the fish and tank very well - nice pick up. Although in the future leave out the poster background, whiter substrate (helps the discus perk up too), 3 more big discus (you have 8 I see, and a 120g can pull more), put the bubble wand in the corner (takes the focus off the discus), and more blue rams!!! hahaha overall great tank and style man

Awsome tank bro! i see that you said you wanted to minimise clutter of plants etc.. just a sugestion you could atach small plants to that awsome bit of wood you have using string which would give a really cool effect and is still 1 item in all then... wicked tank and your discus are amazing :D

I just cant stop watching it over and over again... Man you made such a simple but so amazing discus tank.. i also have a 100g planted discus tank,but plants are not so common with discus.. i'll try to get rid of the most plants and make space for my discus to swim... Love your tank!

What type (morph) of discus is the orange one with big white spots and the white one with black fins?
Lovely tank, not too sure how the white clouds will go being more of a cold water fish - discus tank temps are likely too high for them - they might survive, but higher temps will shorten their life span.
this is a beautiful tank... i love the background and that piece of wood! may i know what are you feeding them? i am keeping mine for almost a year, but they are only about 3 - 4" size. how to increase their growth rate?
fantastic discus aquarium! This is a credit to yourself and your devotion to keeping discus. I would love to keep them for my water is too hard. Would you recommend you sticking with fish that are suitable for your water conditions? I've also heard that you need to do a 50% water change every other day for discus?

I'm looking at getting discus fish, but they can be very expensive and i worry what would happen if they ever got white spot and how to best tackel it.
These are beautifual fish, but if they get a disease then they are all at risk, how do you prevent this?
my tank is 80G big. can i put 5 discus, 10 neon tetra, 10 black tetra, 10 tetra serpae and 3 corys?¿

I really like the shape and coloration of your discus. Could you tell me if you have your tank in a basement or in your living room. Reason I am asking because I would like to put a 120 gal in my L.R. but not sure if it (the floor )will take the weight. Thanks ..mr ray
