FuwaMoco's not kidding, Elizabeth is a seriously cracked singer. Her cover for, "Rebellion" was genuinely fantastic.
And that is coming from 2 other very good singers. They've been at this as long as her. They caught the no breath thing and I bet you they were on Discord going Holy Hell had did you do that intro in one breath. Teach ME!!!!!!
Thats very much the difference between someone who is "just" a singer and someone who is traditionally trained as a singer, especially for theatrical singing, like Opera and Musical. Their training focuses alot more on breath controll.
Thats also why Ironmouse, even with her medical debuff, is such a cracked singer.

Like most hololiver (especially From JP) are influenced by Jpop and Jrock, while sometimes there are outliers like Ado and Lisa, most usually can't compete with western singers in terms of vocal techniques who are influenced more towards Opera, Gospel and Jazz which is insanely technical and you really REALLY need to be a powerhouse singer to do any of that genre" justice"
Yeah the whole "she sang it in one breath" thing I was like, wait that's difficult? And proceeded to do it to ERB's recording lol. And I realized its probably not a thing for people who don't have a musical theater or choral/singing background like myself. It's just a natural thing for us to know how much air we are going to need and that comes partially from training, partially from singing a song over and over and partially from instinct. You can tell ERB took a huge helping of air right before that ADVENT for it. It ALSO helps alot that there's not a lot of movement in the notes in the opening lines. It's like a four note spread at most. So there's not a lot of air lost trying to reach for notes that should be in any tenor/alto/soprano's wheelhouse.
Now VOLUME is a whole nother thing. The only thing I worry for ERB is that she really goes hard in every song she sings and she sings quite often. I hope she's taking care of that voice. Singing full-tilt constantly can really ruin a voice out of nowhere. I'm really excited from a musician's perspective to see her collab with some people on songs because then she'll have to temper that aggression a bit.

Jokes aside, I am curious if we'll get more lore on Justice in the future. With Elizabeth, not every VTuber that is human(rather than a catgirl or foxgirl as examples) has a flame coming out of their chest. Meanwhile, I think I figured out why Cecilia started disobeying her orders. While I'm not knowledgeable about automata, I think the cause is the soul that makes up her soul core. For a while, the soul core acted as only a power source to make the automaton operational. At some point, however, the soul of Cecilia's soul core gained awareness and control over the artificial body, making Cecilia not want to be a servant.

Love me an excited Fuwawa recognizing and hyping other people‘s skills and dang, Elizabeth really outsings probably every hololive talent(i‘ve heard yet)
I disagree in part. She's a fearsome talent but musically Moona, Risu, Towa, Suisei, Irys, and Watame still beat her out I think. On the technical side, Gorilla wins. We also haven't heard everything from Nerissa yet. What we have in ERB is a very STRONG and very DISTINCTIVE voice. In 3 years or so might she be the best with the training that she can now get with Holo? Yup. However, distinctiveness is a blessing and a curse.
She's going to have to be able to blend with not only her Genmates but anyone she collabs musically with. Those are going to be big tests. Big voices tend to have the hardest time with that aspect of things. Best example of blend is Blooming in the Mud, the Bae and Towa collab and the entirety of Watame's most recent 3D live, where she tempers her tone and voice to whatever guest she's singing with. Also, Gura and Mumei singing in Gura's most recent Birthday live.
I'm hoping she'll collab with people outside of her voice "box". What I mean is she could go with voices that are similar to hers like Moona, Towa, Bae, Watame, Suisei, Lui maybe even, Nerissa. I'm hoping she'll collab with people further afield that don't fit her voice type, like Gura, Ina, Risu, Ollie, Kobo, or anyone with a light, bright voice.
@@KharaChmiel i've heard the others and as i said, i still think elizabeth tops the best as of yet SOLO. I've watched nerissa's karaoke streams, she didn't hide her true power. Of course as a vtuber you're gonna have to collab and sing a lot together and creating a balanced harmony is crucial in a GROUP but that's a thing you'll have to wait for at least a year til their 3d bodies arrive to perform together. I'm sure she adapts quite well judging by her singing skills she's been showing since debut but as an independent singer she's top on *my* list of vtubers.
@@MissMissedMe Sure, you can have your opinion, we are all entitled to it. I'm just coming from a place a bit removed from ground level because I'm a bit more picky when it comes to voice types and styles maybe. Comes from being a life-long musical theater, opera and choir singer. There're technical aspects of ERB's singing that are lacking that she can cover up with power and distinctiveness and that's where those other girls excel. So IMHO she's up there but not top. It's kinda like watching a movie with a bunch of wonderful special effects; the glitz and the glamour cover up some of the technical flaws. There's not a lot of em, but they are there. I'm sure she'd agree with me as artists are never satisfied.

Good to know you can pick out exact parts to rate and give feedback on as you've got similar musical backgrounds, helpful for improvement. For me elizabeth sealed the deal as top on *my* list since her latest 3-4 hour karaoke stream, i usually never stay the whole time for karaoke but dang was she good, she's got that captivating skill and that's more than enough for peopz like me

Honestly, Rebellion's intro in one breath is doable. Or you can get in microbreaths between lines, which with enough practice are basically unnoticeable. Either way, Liz is absolutely amazing.

It's called tecnique, the years i lived in england i saw loads of kids there, that have the havit to enroll on dancing and singing lessons (a lot more than other countries) and so many of them are well verse on scenic arts, so i'm not surprise that a relatively small country, has that many artists coming up so often. And i dare to say, that she's probably is a good dancer too.
I mean, I *can* sing it in one breath, with breath to spare and at a good volume, but I'm a guy with a big chest, and I can't even come close to a fraction of her voice control and talent.

It's not. If you listen closely, she literally does not stop. It's more so good breath control and big lungs.
Anyone who knows singing can tell when a singer is taking a breath. She is not.
Yes, singers learn to take big breaths very quickly, but when they do, that can be clearly heard, especially during things like karaoke streams. It's not uncommon to cut out breath sounds depending on the kind of recording someone is doing, but there are still small tells in how someone sings something that let you know where they're taking breaths even in those recordings.
This part of the song doesn't need a lot of higher tones.
So you can save your breath when singing this part

There are a lot of good singers in Hololive. Elizabeth is what I call a VOCALIST. Trained, traditional, professional vocalist. She's not the ONLY vocalist in Holo, but.. she just might bloody well be the best.

E has bigger capacity for breath than these dogs, plus all her training and effort. Being 1,000% a performer in front of the camera also likely helps. In other words, she a crazy monster.

I mean, there were at least 5 different moments when she could've taken a breath qnd since she is singer wnd voice actor and that, she would definitely have crazy breath control which is something you need for anything you do with your voice. Because if you breath in and out normally during recording it will need to be rerecorded, so you need to controk your breath to make it seem like you don't breathe

In for this part of the song, the overall tone isn't that high pitched.
The overall low tone doesn't require a lot of breath.
You can just sing at a lower volume of voice to save your breath.
I'll be honest, although I think elizabeth is a great singer, easily top 3 in hololive, singing all that in 1 breath is not that hard. I think fuwamoco already running out of breath after "Brighter, higher, as you desire" is too low of a bar lol.

for fuwawa it's definitely understandable, doing her voice in particular probably takes more breath than just normally singing/speaking

@@jason1nicei did and was able to sing the whole thing in one breath with some left over. i also have decent lung capacity and know how to project my voice very loudly without shouting as well.
tbf they didnt take deep breaths before starting while also not using their default voices.
