I was pleasantly surprised Mario was brave enough to admit he was a free thinker and Hollywood doesn't dictate his beliefs. I sensed hesitation in his voice while speaking at times and feel sad that he has a fear that what he says could alienate him and his livelihood. I came to this sight because of what social media is saying about Mario Lopez. Mario says, "It's 'Dangerous' for Parents to Support Transgender Children ......" It's all over social media and they, like always have taken it out of context. I really hope and wish the very best for Mr. Lopez and his family, but if it continues he's the next in line for hate and bashing because he said what he said. And if he loses his career over this then I say it's time for something better! So I've never watched this show before and the headlines brought me here. Full confession, I'm a liberal, socialist, rainbow loving, flower power chick. I'm not easily shocked but the misquoting and misrepresentation of what Mario said and the misrepresentation about the context of the conversation is mind blowing. I'm so sick of this "cancel culture" that misrepresents people and looks to take people down because they disagree with something they said or believe differently. I disagree with some of the views expressed in this interview but I agree with some of the views expressed also and I'm glad that I watched the full interview. There needs to be room in this world for people with differing views to express themselves and still be able to live among one another. I didn't find Mario to be judgmental at all and I believe the sentiment that he expressed was that he thinks it's dangerous for a parent to make a determination and declaration about their child while they are still in that discovery age and stage. I happen to agree with that. Although I didn't like how Candace referred to certain things as "weird," I did find myself agreeing with her about the "trend parenting" and some parents essentially using their children to seem ultra tolerant.

He actually said he doesn't dish out parenting advice and Candace was encouraging him to do so. He also basically said that if someone looks at his past they'll see that he was no poster boy. Like I said, I'm on opposing sides on a lot of topics with these two but what he said was definitely misrepresented and he was mischaracterized in the news and blog reports.

It's all over social media and they, like always have taken it out of context. I really hope and wish the very best for Mr. Lopez and his family, but if it continues he's the next in line for hate and bashing because he said what he said. And if he loses his career over this then I say it's time for something better! So I've never watched this show before and the headlines brought me here. Full confession, I'm a liberal, socialist, rainbow loving, flower power chick. I'm not easily shocked but the misquoting and misrepresentation of what Mario said and the misrepresentation about the context of the conversation is mind blowing. I'm so sick of this "cancel culture" that misrepresents people and looks to take people down because they disagree with something they said or believe differently. I disagree with some of the views expressed in this interview but I agree with some of the views expressed also and I'm glad that I watched the full interview. There needs to be room in this world for people with differing views to express themselves and still be able to live among one another. I didn't find Mario to be judgmental at all and I believe the sentiment that he expressed was that he thinks it's dangerous for a parent to make a determination and declaration about their child while they are still in that discovery age and stage. I happen to agree with that. Although I didn't like how Candace referred to certain things as "weird," I did find myself agreeing with her about the "trend parenting" and some parents essentially using their children to seem ultra tolerant.

He actually said he doesn't dish out parenting advice and Candace was encouraging him to do so. He also basically said that if someone looks at his past they'll see that he was no poster boy. Like I said, I'm on opposing sides on a lot of topics with these two but what he said was definitely misrepresented and he was mischaracterized in the news and blog reports.
