Legendary
Pat McFee 😂😂😂
Spidey senses😭😂
We didn’t even have an audible to get out of it. It was a 100 percenter.
100%
The rest is history
This is the most I’ve ever heard Troy actually talk. He always had his play do the talking! Congrats.
Facts i remember the Head and Shoulders commercials that was the only time I ever heard him talk.

As a Bengals fan, he is one of the most hated Steelers among our fan base.
@@cincat8207 cool?

Im a raven fan and i teared up.. that’s how special this man was.. a true warrior who wore the blk and gold..
Saying blk instead of just adding the a and c, were you trying to shorten it up like they did for these speeches?
@@buzzkillington3840 we all know what he meant? Relax
Thank you, for respect. Baltimore has always been a hatred rivalry. Nonetheless, you guys have class. Always have. Much respect.
"You ain't never lied!"

There he is. The MAN. My all time favorite player. Getting into the HOF. Love him! Thanks for the memories Troy!
Cutting onions too bro ????

Love to see it bro 🥺
The Steelers are still my favorite team all because of this guy. He my favorite player.
He retired so quietly too.
Him and Ed Reed were the most instinctive safeties I've ever seen.
Don't forget dawkins
Sean Taylor was alive it would have been those 3 for that era.
Darren Sharper was personally my favorite growing up (Not anymore obviously)
@@808mitch Why because he’s in prison doing life
@@808mitch lol I understand but he was nice back there
So much in this speech, the one part though was very good, when he told his sons, the best thing I can do for you, is to love your mom. Powerful
Great example to love and respect your wife. Today's generation needs help in that area. Happy he's an example for his son's.
@ singer jin
Not at all. Always is such a ridiculous and dumb statement, still is.
Everyone can learn from Troy’s speech. Not just a certain generation.
@ Allen Bennett
Absolutely agree. Showing your boys love, showing them you love their mother, showing emotion, empathy, compassion, man, Troy is just 👍🏻.
His speech, especially that part, definitely hit me in the feels. I hope his boys keep that with them. And Troy seems like a very thoughtful, spiritual guy, like the island mentality.
Actually showing true love and respect for your wife, your kids will see that, and learn from that. Props to Troy and his whole family.
interesting that a great trojan quoted a great bruin right there…john wooden taught and wrote that in his book 📕

Reed. Real words of how we run walk and talk and hit. Love from NYC. 🖤💛🍺
And the steelers did him dirty at the end, just like they did ward. They deserve to suck right now.

Troy Polamalu is one of the best playmaking safeties in the NFL.
He is the best playmaking safety with respect to the others

Uhhh no lol Ed Reed was better.
No Ed reed
He did impossible things to perfection.
This brings me to tears in so many ways. I'm a Tongan that supports our Samoan brothers and sisters. Troy showing how us Islanders are raised and he plays for my team THE Pittsburgh Steelers!
Next up is Tua Tagovailoa
Happy for you. Have Tongan friends. Made them proud as well.
I’m a Samoan, although a Washington fan. But seeing Troy play makes me proud to be Samoan because just like you said, showing how is islanders are raised.

I always forget how soft spoken Troy is. I love how this humble , calm, articulate, soft spoken man was literally one of the most feared player to ever step foot in the gridiron. What a legend
I'm Samoan living in a small country NZ and seeing my people out in the big country doing big things makes me so proud.
Also hearing the Samoan chants "Cheeeehooo" makes me so happy our people are all the same everywhere in the planet they go!
Congrats uso you deserve it all!

It’s Black and Gold.
@@BIGLOCC412 thank you
Steeler Nation is so proud of you Troy you are true goat.
Pretty cool moment with the standing O and the terrible towels flying. I’m not a Steelers fan but love the passion Troy played with. Definitely a special human
2003 my NY Jets had two first rounds draft picks. I remember us all screaming for them to draft Troy. The Jets blew it and I watched Troy with envy as he ravaged the NFL for the rest of his career. Congratulations.
Ahh a classic moment my jets breaking my heart 🥲
What really intrigued me, was what Troy said to his boys, " The best thing I can do for you is Love your Mother...." his speech was beautiful, especially to the steeler nation... good job representing the Samoan people.
That was the most important part of his speech.
"Boys, the best thing I can do for you guys is love your Mother."
This should be replayed over, and over, and over. Too many players giving speeches without Fathers in their lives. I wish the NFL would make a point to notice this shortcoming and attempt to change the cycle. It was an honor to hear this speech.
"Boys, the best thing I can do for you guys is love your mother" Let that sink in for a moment.
Troy was a once in a generation type player like Jim brown, L.T. and Barry sanders. His physical ability, instincts and passion for the game. We will not see another player like him at that position doing the things he did. Unless you watched him every game like steeler fans or lucky enough to play with him like his teammates did you can't fully understand how good this guy was.
You hit it right on the head watched every game of his career faithfully and he never failed to always have your jaw dropping with the plays he made
Im a packers fan but as an U.S.C fan i followed him threw hes career an trust he is the G.O.A.T.. Had to watch steelers game do to him an also ward the buss porter harrison
In another comment. I said the same exact thing. Agree 100%
You will see another player his name is Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Exactly….a LEGENDARY football player, but even more so as a Godly, faithful & decent man!!!
Been a Steeler fan since 72 … this is my all time favorite Steeler ever
As a ravens fan I’ve uttered this mans name in hatred too many times…just goes to show how good he really is. Congrats Troy you deserved it for sure! Give respect when respect is due ✊🏼
Im a Steeler fan. Respect to Ed Reed. I get it.
Every single person from Pittsburgh has Troy in their top 3 favorite athletes and most of us have him #1. An absolute legend love this man

The most instinctively gifted football player I have ever witnessed. Truly a phenomal talent. It could be debated that Ed Reed was better, and perhaps as a pure safety, he was. But the way Troy played, he seemed much more than simply just a safety. He was an amazing athlete, both physically and mentally.
There will be many Ed Reeds coming through the league every now and then. But there will absolutely NEVER be another Troy Polamalu.
well said
Yes! So TRUE. Let it be the day a safety TACKLES like POLAMALU did. Likely to see another Ed Reed but not a Polamalu.

How can such a ferocious player be so soft-spoken? Congrats, Troy. Such an appropriate name for a Trojan!
The EPITOME of a class act...As always Polamalu was nothing but a gentleman in his speech
Was at the ceremony, but his speech was so good I’m already rewatching it
He enter every stadium a humble man, but when it was game time, he ran out the tunnel and left everything on the field. Congratulations Mr Polamalu. You ended your college career as an All American and Orange Bowl Champion with the University of Southern California and now you leave a storied franchise Pittsburgh Steelers as a All Pro, a Super Bowl Champion and a new member of the Hall of Fame. I only have one word.

Even though he had his struggles as a youth.... it don't get no better than this... a true role model for all Polynesian kids. Love u braddah, shoots 🤙🏽
As a Falcon fan, I even loved Troy Polomalu. A true legend, not just for Pittsburgh, but football as a whole.
One of the best safety’s of all time no doubt… straight up beast
One of? He's the GOAT of that position.
Troy was the greatest steeler of all time. Literally a cheat code on the field.
What. A. Guy. Ravens fan through and through and I can never forget *that* interception. That pick 6. But this is Troy. A gentleman and a monster at the same time. Gentle and aggressive at the same time. Soft spoken yet ferocious in the tackle. Cerebral yet instinctive. What a player. The only guy to tackle one of my guys yet I felt he did it right. Hats off Troy
For such a ferocious and high energy player he has such a soothing calm voice
This guy and Ed Reed are the to best safeties to ever do it. Congrats man, you deserve it!
I'm not crying I got dust in my eyes.
This was one of the finest Hall of Fame speeches, I've ever heard!
I've been a Steelers fan since December 23, 1972, when I was 7 years old.
After listening to the HOF speeches of Troy Polamalu and Jack Lambert...I ask anyone....How can you NOT be a Steelers fan?
Only second time I cried in my life lol, first was listening to Hines Ward retirement speech. Troy will always be my favorite player. Good bless him and his family.

@@saeedraymond6193 say the RUclips keyboard warrior. Troy is a legend, and you?
When Troy Polamalu wore the Steeler black and gold he was my favorite safety in the NFL. For Troy to play the run like a linebacker while he had the ballhawking skills of an elite DB was fun to watch. Congratulations to him for making it to the NFL Hall of Fame.
I am far from a steeler fan, but have always respected Troy! One bad man on the field, and a class act off the field. He deserves this!
met him once, just a soft spoken kind soul.
The main reason my 10 year old self became a Steelers fan, grew up in Bills Territory but watching Troy and that Defense of the mid/late 2000s was a thing of beauty. May sound cliche and it is but it’s so true that football is so much more than a sport it’s a brotherhood. Thank you Troy and congratulations!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I remember it was some playoff game, I wanna say it was against Indy, Troy made an interception that went up for review. The camera was on him as the ref makes his announcement that the play was overturned, incomplete pass offense’s ball. What does Troy do? Puts on his helmet and goes back onto the field, that’s IT. That will never make it into the stat book, but THAT’S what made Troy, Troy. THAT’S why he’s up there…
Nomatter what NFL team you loved you had to have respect for this man..
His speech made me tear and smile at the same time. I still miss him every fall and 43 and 75 will always be my favorite numbers.
Beautiful speech. Absolutely beautiful. There never has been, nor will there ever be another Polamalu. THANK YOU, TROY.
Very eloquent and well prepared.
A very smart man and an intense player. Truly I was honored to watch him growing up
Pittsburgh just built different man, congrats to the legend🐐
Troy Polamalu just showed up and straight up let his play do the talking and balled out every game. Great teammate, great football player and great person all rolled into one. Deserves to get in the Hall of Fame. Part of one of my favorite eras of football, guys played hard to the whistle back then and you had to know where Troy Polamalu was when you played the Steelers, and they moved Troy around so much, he could cover, he could tackle, and he just made an awesome chess piece for that defense and that made the Steelers a formidable opponent through the latter part of the 2000's.
Remember watching this guy when I was 16, now 28 Balling my eyes out watching him speak. Let's go steelers!🟨⬛🟨⬛
