    Yemenis go north to Saudi to look for jobs and better life just like Mexicans who move north to the USA and I lived in both countries

    It's cool that Messi made Argentina famous! Also found it interesting that products from India are actually sold as more valuable than products from China. Funny how our interconnected global world shape the thoughts of what we want and find valuable. Nice episodic adventures!

    • @AleSalvino
      @AleSalvino  Год назад +2

      Haha yes it's crazy you just literally say "Argentina" and then straight after "Messi". I think in my childhood it was the same thing with Maradona. Football is such a connecting point around the world! ⚽ Actually stuff from India is highly appreciated here whereas for some reason China is seen as "low cost" 😅

    The blue water and the beach in general were gorgeous! Interesting and the marketing of the bakeries in order to get customers. In Egypt the clothing sellers were also very proud that the clothes were "not China". Great video!

    With all due respect, what
    is going on in the old town isn’t really "rebuilding", the old town is under restoration/renovation project, not rebuilding, as someone who is interested in the history of old Jeddah and have a good knowledge about almost every building of the old district, I can tell you confidently that the "knocking down and rebuilding" isn’t the strategy that has been followed in dealing with these buildings, as a UNESCO heritage site there is standard and conditions to deal with any building, the structures of the buildings you came cross have stood tall for more than 100 years and have never been knocked down at any stage, you can easily check the old albums that contains old pics of some of the old buildings that still exist today and compare, there are rare cases however of some buildings that partly collapsed, these parts were reconstructed by using the same fallen stones and materials, and this is accepted by UNESCO

      @@AleSalvinobtw you mentioned in the vlog that the sellers at the old district were yelling at you inviting you to the stores, well. those sellers aren't Saudis, they are mainly from Yemen, Pakistan and some other countries, this is the selling culture in their countries, It's uncommon to see a Saudi doing that and actually we don't like that, sorry if you felt annoyed by them
