People think they first phase is hard wait until they transform no lie I never spent that many hours in a boss fight in any game but wukong is absolutely amazing my fav Gane so far until shadows come out
Apparently, some enemies are fully immune to certain banes status regardless of the Celestial Birthstone. For instance, all Loong type enemies immune to lighting. All stone or non organic enemies immune to poison.
@jevonking9454 I just used the charged heavy thrust to clear the way. I've beaten the game and haven't even tried cloud step yet. I wish the game encourages us more to try every spell, like a small tutorial or mini boss that requires you to use that new spell you just unlocked, but I never felt the need to try
Just hit chapter 6 and can’t wait to finish it cause I’m going into ng+ hard. I used smash stance the entire game I’m looking forward to either pillar or thrust and saving the other for ng++ to try keep it as fresh as possible. I do wish the secret wukong stance wasn’t locked behind ng+++ and getting the true ending each time. I’d have liked it more if they made you get each ending once would make more sense but the true ending means you need to kill every optional or secret boss so I kind of get
I have some bad news for you you can only use the stance for 1 minute also you have to equip all wukong armor set and weapon and honestly When you are in ng++ that set is the one of worst choices I'm sorry man

I did the same thing, smash 1st playthrough, pillar ng+, thrust ng++. Was hella fun. I'm going in for ng+++ with only spellbinder as a tool (no spirit/transfo/spell allowed) to spice things up. Ho btw, perfect dodge disabled isn't as bad as it sounds on full bull king armor (at least for first playthrough). You still dodge, just no perfect dodge animation, meaning it doesn't trigger things like gaining focus upon successful perfect dodge / vengeful mirage (from talent tree) but you still have your s as if you had it still enabled + permanent tenacity at bellow half health, which can be good on specific builds. But I admit there are better things to get from other set piece. Specially if your build somewhat relies on focus points. + perfect dodge feels just too great to perform to sleep on it :)

Celestial birthstone also removes your resistance. Was doing poison build w centipede armor which is supposed to drastically reduce poison dmg and also reworked mindcores so that resistance was 99 and death stinger soak would work and noticed poison was really doing a lot of dmg. Took out birthstone back to barely noticeable poison dmg.
Dam I didn’t even know about the Lantern Curio. Thought I got everything up to Purple Cloud Mountain. It’s like you have to do NG+ to make sure you've collected everything.
Ng+ underated spell life saving strand with the mythical soak related to it you can basically respawn in battle and if you get the soul remigration pill its basically infinite respawns . Made erlang sheng fight wayy easier in ng+
I just build a character that peak at 80% damage reduction(highest you can get in the game), with the bushan Lamp and the Gourd. Mobs are barely doing stratch damage and when I still cannot be reckless, it is rare that I get myself below half HP. I wish I can come up with more ways to use the gourd though. It is super hard to get and I think using it right can be really broken.
Just put spell enhancing soaks on it, no? That means you can have a buffed unveiling strike or immobilize every 30 seconds, which is fine given their cooldowns.
Tiger Tendon also works with evanescence. If you land evanescence with spread the word, it applies the benefits of evanescence to all the enemies. I like Resolute Strike, so Tendon is a permanent addition.
So, I’m probably one of the only guys who is seriously stuck losing to Erlang & the Stone Monkeys. I’m level 101 and I have the full Wukong set, maxed pillar stance & im getting crushed 😂 idk if I’ll ever beat this game. I beat Elden Ring multiple times but I’m also a Mimic Tear user, my poor skill finally caught up to me 😂
I was stuck on errand for two days, first off have the spike ball spirit and azure as your transformation + the fan. Go half way with earlang fully charge a pillar stance move and let go as soon as he goes in the air, then immobilise attack, use spirit attack, this should break first stage. Avoid the axe with cloud step, use azure to get the shield down + a pluck of many. After u get this stage down use the fan and do half the remaining damage. Stay alive and you should get the ball and transformation back
Imo pillar stance is the worst for stone monkeys. Use see through of smash stance to constantly stun him, if thats tough use thrust stance to retreat from danger and still hit him with heavy

SPOILERS FOR NEW GAME PLUS Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but if you're in new game plus and you fight Yin Tiger again, you'll get a 4th curios slot. Not sure if it stacks with each new cycle.
The thunder flame seal sucks to farm. I've killed so many of those guys and can't get even 1 to drop.. if you do the quest where you can transform into the dog use it to run to the first ser of thunder guys. It's so much faster and enemies leave you alone for the most part.
On ng+, with the tri staff, I killed every boss in the game on the 1st try. And my build wasn’t even optimised cos I used farming Curios and the farming Wolf mask all the way through. This to say, we can become super OP with just a couple good pieces.
That's a 4 focus point heavy smash attack. You can store focus points up to 3 but the 4th only comes from light attacks and it slowly depletes over time.
Unlock 20 skill points in Stances. It'll unlock the 4th Focus Point. But you have to build it up after 3 focus points by attacks and it doesn't stay for long or you get hit. That's why the rapid wheel attack is the best for it. Also in NG+, if you use Unified Mind perk after getting the True Ending and unlocking the 6th Relic, all your duplicates from Pluck of Many will also copy that final attack, means you can increase the damage by at least 5 times with your clones.
Honestly? depends on ur build. my most fun build is 4 sun crows and 1 jade rabbit. or vice versa. getting up to 12% dmg reduction or a pure 12% dmg boost on everything is pretty fucking clean for either dmg or tanking
can you make a video for how to upload someone elses save file all my game data got deleted but my friend was as far in the game as me and he send me his savefiles so how do i get the save
Not sure if that works i heard all save files have a unique ID code thats from the original ps5 preventing people from using other peoples save files. Thats how sony prevents people from cheating trophies 🏆
@@Christian-j1i5f it basically works like a parry while continuing your combo. say youre in a light combo you have to press the heavy right when the enemy is about to hit you, it will negate any damage from their attack while yours continues and does extra damage (i also believe you have to have at least one focus point to do this but i am not sure)

You gotta use the counter attacks built into varried combos in Smash or Thrust stance
Dude has been bodying me ALL day man, closest I’ve got is he had 25% health left on a few occasions but definitely the hardest boss in the game for me

You can find a curio than break thoses enemies immune. Don't remember the name of this item but it exist.

for the lantern enemies you can hear their chains at their spawn point so you can wait around for the effect to trigger so you can see them.

I noticed you only have 3 curios slots. Did you know every NG+ you can get another slot from the blacksmith by challenging him each time.
I just found that out they you challenge him n get another slot for combining other items to see the effect

Thunder also doesn't work, I learned it the hard way using thunder build against the 4th loong boss with the talisman equipped.

How you get that heavy attack when you in in air it spins around and stuff. Looks way different than normal Al charged heavy attack

There also is max focus heavy + great sage stance. But that's only in Chapter 6 with the armour. Or after enough NG+ cycles

in the Pagoda realm. There is a certain time window when your health halves and your eyes glow red. That's when the lantern enemies show up.
