Ask any non gamers which Mahvel game looks & plays better & i guarantee they will choose 3. Infinite takes forever to load as well what a waste of money & time😒. All the issues with Infinite aren't things that make people want to stick with MvC3. People miss the characters, music and artstyle. They don't miss the Zero one touch kills, the X-factor one touch kills and comebacks, the 60% chip set-ups, the almighty Hidden Missles, and teams involving Phoenix and Morridoom. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but people still remember the reality of playing UMvC3 all those years and thats not a reality worth going back to. And Yipes's commentary is him constantly taking the piss out of the game since he only enjoyed MvC3 ironically rather than genuinely
Marvel to me is all about the assist calls; knowing when its safe to call them, how to set it up, your confirms off of the different situations, and punishing your opponenet for their calls. Not that I think mvci is a bad game, but raw tagging into plus frames is pretty scrubby. Not to mention the entire mixup game in mvci is based off of thc mixups from this game.
I like playing both UMVC3 and MVCI. UMVC3 is a great looking game with a better art style. But being real, the game is not perfect. The game has A LOT of BS to deal with like one touch kills, X Factor, Hidden missiles, etc. MVCI, in my opinion, is much better gameplay wise. I just have more fun playing that game! The thing is too is that you can literally pick any two characters you want and have synergy between them. Yet as a spectator watching someone else play, it just isn't as exciting, engaging, or as pleasing to look at. I think that partly has to do with the lack of comeback factor. Unless you have soul stone, once a character goes down, the game is completely one sided. Either way, I enjoy both and will continue to play both because I love Marvel and the MVC series!
