also one important thing is: for squash to properly work, everything has to be centered on the canvas
i didnt do that cuz i hoped to move things like the head to the origin point but ig thats not possible yet
i also really hoped it would squash things idividually (instead of basing things around the origin), but its early in development anyway so i wont complain :]

Hold down "O" (not zero but Origin) and move WASD to move the origin point.

Ok so I tried the software, and I'm loving it so far! Like I don't need to Live2D my PNGTuber just to make it more lively.
I only have a few things I wish the dev would consider before I can use it, however:
1. I want it to have the PNG toggles similar to veadotube mini, so I can have different expressions under one outfit (?)
2. Not sure if it accepts GIFs, but I want to use GIFs for the eyes, I want the blinking to look more animated lol
3. Maybe it's just me using way too many layers, but the last time I used it, the CPU usage of PNGTuber Plus for me is a WHOPPING 30%. GPU usage percentage, too. So it would DEFINITELY suck when I play games. >.<
Overall it's a great product, and I hope to see it optimized better in the future. I really want to use it badly >.<
For now, I will use veadotube and rig my own models in Live2D. (yeah, a lot of effort, but I wanted to learn Live2D anyway)

I just wish there was a way to set up different expressions and gestures that I could easily toggle between.
You can with costumes! Idk if there are keybinds but you can still use them for diff expressions
Do you think you could do the tutorial for making the tail move by itself? How did you get so much motion and fluidity when rigging it?
I used live2d for it but I can try to make a small tut!

Just wanted to leave a comment saying thank you for the amazing tutorial. This made learning how to use pngtuber plus much easier. Lots of useful tips. Was just wondering if you have used or found a way to switch "costumes" with a shortcut? I know you switch via number keys while the window in active but trying to figure out a way to switch using a Stream deck. Subscribed :)
When using Photoshop you can export all files with the export option "export to file", then activate png 24, activate transparancy if not selected and deactivate trim layers. Saves alot of work

Does this program have settings for different expressions like Veadotube? How much is allowed to change between one and the other if it can? Also, what are the small numbers under the edit menu?

I think so! I didnt do them personally but the numbers are under numbers and called "costumes" but Im pretty sure they can be used as different emotions (sorry if im wrong)

What art software do you use to make your model? Edit: Wait are you using MediBang Paint Pro?
Well, tbh the eye moves way too much for me now :,) and the mouth seemed more smooth and natural while talking in previous one
All the extra things are nice tho and make the character more lively.
Did you copy the eye settings to the head? Or you can always play around with it and lower the settings that usually helps!
@@AMelodicPerson I meant after observing your character change :') and I mean if you like it that way then that's ok. It was really just what I see n what I liked more on old one.

is it possible to do all of this,but without this crazy bouncing\jumping while speak?(like body stay in place but everything else was moving?)
Yes! In the top corner theres a bounce meter and you can turn that to 0 so it wont hop when you talk!
Is there any way I can just do a simple layer change for whenever I’m talking? This is the only png program that actually works for me.
Im am learning to be a PNGtuber while im working on my 3D model and I have to say it seems like ALOT of work separating the parts but it looks worth all the work

Hey I have a question that I've been struggling with. With it comes to clipping, can you only like 2 things together or can you clip multiple things together? Thanks for the tutorial! :)
I may be wrong but I will make a follow up later to this answer but I’m highly sure you can clip more than one thing seeing I connected the hair to head and head to body but I’m not quite sure sorry :(

Hi, thank you for the informative tutorial! I've tried playing around with the program and it's very useful, but do you know why sometimes I can't select layers? E.g. I load in body.png first but I can't select it unless I use the scroll wheel, and even then it can't link to other parts properly...
I had that issue I dont rly know how to fix it so I usually just spam it until it works sorry for the unhelpful answer

Wonderful tut I managed to get things working! Tho one question idk if it was answered in the vid and I missed it but how do I get the window thing to disappear when I exit edit mode? It still shows it for me

as a pngtuber plus user, i agree
problem, there is no "default avatar" option now, only "logs" and "shader_cache" now idk what to do
I like the idea of this program but honestly it just needs a ton of QoL fixes. I don't understand why linking layers requires you to spam click or drag a line to each individual piece you want to link and hope it hits the correct layer instead of just... letting you choose from a list. It's also the only time it really lets you use a mouse to adjust anything, since it forces you to use WASD to move the rotation points around and Q and E to adjust layers for some reason. I don't know why pngtuber programs in general never let you reorder layers by dragging them like art programs would. The effects also just feel WAY too strong in general, I can't imagine ever going past a 10 on most things and it goes up to 30, meanwhile even a 1 feels strong for some effects. I want to like it because I love the idea of having shake/squish effects on the layers but it's just... not easy to use the way it is now

I do have a question though, if I was rigging/animating a model for a friend, do I just send them both the folder with the assets and the .save file if they're using the same program?
If you have version 1.12 you its updated to send just the save!

So I used a 720x720 for mine however I think if you press ctrl+scroll wheel you can resize it!

i think the creator says 720x720 pixels is the max limit allowed but im not sure
For some reason, the program just kinda stops/pauses on OBS when I minimize the window, so I have to have it on, which kinda sucks since I need the screenspace for other stuff
I would but I have no computer currently, therefore I am on Mobile. So, I'll have to check it out later when I have a computer.

If I don't want the constant wiggle, is this program still a good choice? All I want is my mouth to wiggle some. Is PNG+ good for that, or should I look for another program?

my only question is: how did you make your tail? is it an animated gif that you put behind your character or is it animated in this program?
Its a seperate gif in my pngtuber scene so if I move the scene in obs it will move everything including the tail!

Is there a way to feed pre-recorded audio into PNGTuber instead of the mic? I'm reading scripted material, which sometimes requires multiple takes.
Otherwise I'll have to find some workaround like playing the desktop audio into the mic and then do a window capture on the avatar
This all seems to work well for chibi type png characters, but what about a fully fledged properly proportioned anime character for example? Would that be too complicated, I wonder?
Ive seen a lot of vtubers with this program even full body anime type and its all managable maybe a lil more work but it can be done!

@@kvl2420 Veodotube personally you can get plugins to be bouncy in obs too to make it easier!
@@AMelodicPerson Thanks for the tip, very much so appreciated! Not sure if bounciness is what I want, but easy is good! Just want to be able to make a character look fluid, move their mouth, blink, breath, talk, etc.

Language options im not so sure but you cant send saves! (The creator said so) so I think if you send the save file someone should be able to open it through their version

I tried using this program directly in Twitch Studio's streaming program but it doesnt allow a transparent background... Is there a way to fix this or do I have to use OBS?
I really don't get the linking button, what do you have to do to make it work? When I try and link something to it by pressing link and then clicking a layer and then clicking another layer it just... selects that other layer. it doesn't do anything?

It could be the program you're using, if you should save in png not jpeg or if your bg isn't transparent then try to find the transparent settings seeing some programs automate to a full white bg layer and not immediately transparent hope this helps! (if not google how to make the art program you use transparent!)
@@AMelodicPerson i used clip studio for my art and its a png so its in fact transparent! i also use obs for streaming/recording. i couldnt find anything online to help and i messaged the creator of pngtuberplus but they havent replied yet

Hi! I have a question: is there a way to make the software detect and exterior audio without using a microphone? I'm asking because, for example, if I talk while recording with a voice recorder software without a microphone, it detects the sound of it, but that doesn't seem to work with PNGtuber +.

It it because it says its a virus if so click run anyway if not then your drivers may be full and you need to switch to the 2nd one if you have it

you should just be able to click away and it should disappear. Its only enabled when its your primary tab. If needed you can crop it out in obs by holding alt and dragging up from the bottom. Hope that helps!!

So im using a pngtuber for my gd live streams, but whenever pngtuber+ is open and I go into gd my cursor doesnt shiw, it just hides itself. Anyway to fix this?
