Remember Kenshin wasn’t a man slayer anymore so he wasn’t at the pike of he’s full strength apart from finally finishing his training in the Shishio arc
However else you may feel about filler arcs, Shogo deserves some respect for being the only guy in the series to soundly, 100% defeat Kenshin. Their first fight is a completely one sided, unambiguous asskicking, and the only reason Kenshin lived through it was because Shogo decided not to kill him. I'm not sure that anyone else in the series gives Kenshin a dirt nap quite like that.
@@Langit_Gelapnah, if you put prime shishio and killer battousai on a battle. Shishio wont last 5 minutes. Now prime shishio and undamaged kenshin himura would be an interesting fight but I'd still give it to himura. If you watch the legends end fight Shishio would've died 3 times or more if kenshin was not using the reverse-edge katana and if shishio doesn't have that metal forehead protector of his. Yes shishio has a time limit but his fresh and undamaged compare to kenshin who was fighting him after fighting a bunch of foot soldier, Aioshi and Sojiro so...🤷🏻♂️

@@HooliganFiorentina During his Battōsai days, Kenshin hadn’t learned all of the techniques of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, so if he faced Shogo in that form, he would be powerless because he didn’t learn the Kuzuryūsen and the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki.

The fillers is good, especially the Shimabara one. The problem is they runs too long and Watsuki took so long to complete the manga, so in the end the anime abruptly ended with the manga doesnt even ended yet, and it really so irked.
@@mrboo3049 no, sujiro learn the complete school of the technique of hitten mitsurugi while shogo have the authentic but incomplete learning because he neeeded to escape when he's young. Now if they fight shogo won't win why even though what shogo learn is the authentic hitten mitsurugi its not complete plus he doesn't have the fighting experience sujiro attained. Its a wide known and accepted theory and i think the author also said it. That if sujiro fight every fight kenshin had it would end quickly and sujiro won't break a sweat. He's build is the proper build for the technique compare to kenshin is a big factor.
