This was the first song by Petra that really caught my interest in this band and never left me since. When I found out that it's based on Apostle's creed that is commonly used in my church I was pleasantly surprised to hear such a fresh take on it. Many of their songs were used by God to speak to me.
Petra is one of the greatest bands of all time, no one can match Petra with Hartman/Schlitt/Lawry/Weaver/Cates, thank you for sharing. I love the extended guitar solo at the end, such a shame this concert probably will never be released as high quality DVD.
I wished they had this creed in the farewell concert . The 2005 farewell creed which it does't sound as good as the original creed this creed in this video has more of punch how it starts with the keyboards instead of a guitar. I'm 19 and my dad introduced Petra Music to me. I really like the 70's,80's and 90's music and sounds. Wish I was at that concert with earplugs in my ears with my i-pod and modern clothing at that concert. I would be crazy and dancing very intensely at that concert.
john schlitt has his own ministry now after so many days with Petra years ago. As families grew, the guys were led by Christ in different directions. Classic Petra is basically the guys from early days, and Spirit flows just as well in them as with John. Is that a great ministry or what? Just listen to words, music, and be blessed.
