I don't get how you are going to say he needs to be a better passer but then rank Kyrie who isn't known at all for his passing and Westbrook a literal turnover machine above him. I really love Dame's playing style and also his personality, but I wouldnt rate him at top 10 for time being...he would squeeze in top 15 in my opinion. Big O should have been higher also, nonetheless its a solid list.

Big O is a bit too low IMO. Yes, he didn’t have much playoff success in his prime but he was able to carry some sorry teams into the playoffs before he got to the Bucks.

I love how u made this video, however I gotta admit this list is pretty bad... Gary Payton and Walt Frazier a little too low... Nice list! Iverson a point guard??? Good joke! Payton behind all those modern day point guards? He was the second best guard in the entire league during his prime! Penny played more shooting guard in his career than point guard so why include him and exclude someone like Harden?

Oscar as 9th best point guard?!? Dude is a top 15 of all time PLAYER. And if you say he's a top 10 all time player, I won't argue. He's an MVP and won a championship unlike several others on this list. And, if you're going to hold his lack of playoff success against him, why are Nash (no titles), Paul (no titles or MVPs), Kidd (one ring as second banana to Dirk), no MVP), Stockton (no rings, no MVPs), and Iverson (no rings, one MVP) head of him? Along that line, why isn't Cousy (1 MVP, 6 rings) higher? I get that he's tough to rate because of how long ago he played, but him, Elgin, and Dr. J changed how the game was played.
Dennis Johnson is one of my favorites. he proved he could be the 1st or 4th option on a team. Most of Larry birds highlight assists are to that man.

Oscar Robertson should be number 2 not 9. He averaged a triple double. Has a ring and mvp. Could shoot’ rebound’ Pass and score. He was super skilled and athletic and just because he played 50 years ago doesn’t mean you should put him so frickn low

CP3 is arguably the PG Lebron, which PG has been consistent all star level like this for this long?

John Stockton is the best NBA PG of all time, Magic might be a better overall player due to his rebounding but he wasn't even a true PG. Just look at the numbers. Stockton holds 7 of the top 10 total assist numbers for a season all time and has the top 4. He also holds 5 of the top 6 Avg. assists per game numbers and is the only player to ever avg. more than 14 a game for a season (And he did it twice). While Magic has a slightly better Avg assists per game number for his career, it's important to note that Magic left the game while he was still in his prime, and Stockton played well past his prime.
Peak is more important than longevity when determining this. As you said, Magic had a better career avg for assist and is more decorated. Tbh if you replace magic with john, utah would have better chance at winning against bulls
Stockton played with Malone his entire career and never even won mvp or made the finals more than twice. Why is this even a discussion
@@kohsmoger1567 Stockton was clearly snubbed in his day, just as he is still overlooked even now. And Magic never had to face Jordan and the Bulls in the finals, Larry Bird made sure of that. And it's funny that you mention the 2nd all time leading scoring in history when the Lakers had the first throughout Magic's entire career.
Can you even name another great player that was in their prime that Stockton had on his team in his day? I can easily name a few more Lakers that played along side Magic.

No one was Steph Curry before Steph Curry. Some players had efficiency, some players had volume, some players had insane range, and some players could create their own three point shot. Curry has them all. Curry is the first of his kind beyond the arc. No one was ever a Curry before Curry. He IS that unique.

Lillard and Russ not greater then kyrie dame hasn’t made it as far to be considered great he is just clutch and russ just has stats when it comes to the playoffs he shrinks and is even more inefficient and kyrie averages 30 ppg in his two finals appearances while elevating to an elite level

Why everyone ranking Curry so high? He had almost all teammates ex allstarts or current ones. Had KD and scored alot of points cuz teammates were the same good shooters as he is. We saw 20-21 season where Curry could carry his team to the playoffs but he failed. Without superstars in his team Curry is nothing. Max in the last place of top 10 he is. Curry must be in top 25. CP3 is better than him in all ways. Even Lebron as PG is better than Curry…
Changed the game, revolutionized basketball, makes everyone around him better as seen by the eye test and advanced stats, greatest shooter of all time, built a mini dynasty, inspired a generation and has two mvps and 3 championships.
Uhm he failed because is team was constantly injured and had to abide by the play in rule that never existed outside of the bubble before last year. The warriors at the end of the regular season had a plus 500 record and were the 8th seed over the grizzlies. There have been times in kareem’s career and Lebron career were neither of them made the playoffs when they were considered the best player on the planet.

I like your list for the most part. A few I disagree pretty strongly with: Kyrie above Cousy, Wall and Hardaway above Price, Paul above Stockton. Kyrie above Cousy is my biggest disagreement as Kyrie has proven over and over his game is flash and not fire. He's proven he can't be #1 and lead his team to do anything despite having talent around him. Cousy was "great" before he was paired with Russell and continued to be great with Russell. For Paul and Stockton, I think Paul is a slightly better defender, but Stockton was better at running his team for 20 years and had much better playoff results. I'd put Zeke over West too, but still, I like the list.

@@gumballwaterson1957 For me, when talking about a list about "greatness" stats are a factor but they're not as important as accolades (excluding rings because that's a team accomplishment).

I always find people's willingness to exclude rings from evaluation a little puzzling because, especially in basketball, it's the only thing that takes everything into account. Imo, the team affects an individual's stats/accolades and vice versa. KLove on T-wolves...26 pts/13 rebs. KLove on Cavs...worse stats and less accolades. Did KLove change as a player? No. But his teammates (namely Lebron) changed and it affected his ability to get accolades. Can't be a rebound champ if your role is to chuck up 3s. But one thing is clear, in MN, KLove couldn't do enough to win as the top dog regardless of his individual stats and accolades.
Russell is the opposite example. His recorded stats look pretty bad imo. But whatever he was doing that wasn't recorded was obviously working because it's impossible to win 11 out 13 years and it be a fluke. However he worked with his teammates/coaches/refs/fans/etc, he was clearly the leader and engine that caused ultimate winning. Wilt, stat and accolade-wise, was better than Russell. But we got to see them head to head so many times that it was clear Russell had to be doing something better cause Russell and his team kept whipping Wilt's team's ass.

They both have a Finals MVP, Jerry West made 5 defensive teams while Zeke didn't make any, Jerry West made 2 more All-Star appearances, 7 more All NBA, Jerry West has better stats, and I will argue that West should be a MVP (1969-70).
