“Picking up the pieces” was the literal truth when it came to looking for the victims. The winds and debris tore the victims apart with first responders finding body parts strewn all over the landscape. More than a few suffered from PSTD from seeing that carnage. The same thing happened with many of the victims in the Joplin EF-5.
why are there no photographs of that level of carnage for any tornado?
This has to be the worst scene for a first responder of all time in the history of the planet.
