Yowza! In my apartment I have fiber myself, and holy peaches on the very low speeds, also I hope you had games that aren't reliant on an internet connection so you could play something! Are you in the U.S.? I believe your internet situation is MUCH better than Australia's! We are known to have poorer internet - or at least we are a bit behind in the technology.
Gaming has been hard, I mostly play offline games, but I had to sit through the hour+ wait for installation or game updates, but not anymore, thankfully!
