There will never be another artist like MJ. And the day I realized this was when I was in the car with my family. I was in the car with my grandparents, my parents, and my daughter. 4 DIFFERENT generations. And when MJ’s song “Rock with you” came on the radio we were all jamming. 4 DIFFERENT generations of people singing and jamming to the SAME artist and a song that is nearly 40 YEARS OLD. If that doesn’t say something about the impact and legacy that MJ has I don’t know what does. I can’t think of any other artist who could have different generations of people jamming like that.

That's completely false. MJ was clearly influenced by James Brown, Elvis and Fred Astaire. MJ was eating influences from everywhere. From the dirty streets to the cleanest of Showrooms. He loved genius and learned with it creating his own genius.

I want to say that we shouldn't compare. However, some people are just better than others. Who you like is subjective though. B is a fantastic entertainer. She isn't anything we haven't seen though. Thats the difference. MJ is iconic for a reason. He introduced pop culture to so many things & did things others were not doing. He was a true trend setter. Timeless. He still has some of the most different & difficult choreography for example. You can't say any of that about B. She's done some fun stuff that stands out. Its not so impressive & jaw dropping. MJ has put in so much work, he was the first black artist to be played on certain TV and radio stations. He actually wrote the majority of his songs which is something that most artists these days don't do. He choreographed most of his dances which is something that most artists don't do. I don't think that anyone should be comparing another to him he basically laid the platform for everyone that's out here don't disrespect the king. Beyonce is a great vocalist, but not a great dancer, and thus relies on a lot of backup dancers, bands, and other spectacular details to make her performances look amazing. MJ, on other hand, was both a great vocalist and dancer and could entertain an audience on his own no problem. There are a lot of artists wo can easily outperform Beyonce, like Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, or Ciara, but Beyonce's voice plus all the people and things she puts in stage make it seem like she's an incredible performer

Shasha Vengesayi I'm sorry but Beyonce is a great dancer and performer, these days she actually performs more than sings although back in the day (2016/15 and prior) she was much more into singing than dancing, it's just that she ensures that her concerts are an all round performance by including back up dancers performing and other spectacles which can take away from the music and vocals. I do agree that there are other people in the industry that can outshine her such as Ciara and Teyana Taylor but that's in a performance/dancing perspective as they lack the vocals to outshine her. In terms of a singing perspective there are people like jasmine Sullivan who can easily outshine Beyonce but cannot outshine her performance skills. It's difficult to find someone who has the stage presence, performance skills, vocals and work ethic all in one in the way Beyonce does. This by no means however, means that she tops Micheal Jackson that is most definitely not true
Julie Kayla i disagree, if we analyze her moves it is not comparable to moves like Ciara or Janet Jackson. You are correct that she is great performer, but as i stated before, she needs background support for her brand. Her dance technique is quite basic focusing on just small moves involving most of the hips, not comparable to actual challenging moves other performers do.

She most definitely isn't an AMAZING dancer - she can dance though, her moves may not be comparable to Micheal's or even Ciara however I don't agree with the statement that she isn't a good dancer. But another thing is she doesn't do that much choreography for her dances and when she does it's quite simplistic so maybe when given challenging moves she may be able to pull them off who knows

I saw Beyonce's coachella performance and yes it was amazing but HAVE you seen an MJ live performance, have you? Choreography and technology have advanced and evolved for staging/lighting/equipment/design etc. You just can't compare.
MJ alone in a stage was grabbing the attention of tens of thousands. MJ alone in a stage with a glove, shiny socks and a hat created iconic art recognized by ENTIRE HUMANITY. Beyonce on the other hand needs 20 back up dances and strip like a hoe to make basic music popular for a couple of years.

The main difference between Beyoncé and MJ is that Beyoncé is about the technics whereas Michael had a whole lotta soul in his music, in his voice, in his dance, and everything he did. Secondly - Michael was the innovator, Beyoncé isn't. She does not have her "Thriller" counterpart, an album which would influence pop culture so much as Michael's biggest selling album did. Michael had a personality able to be loved by everyone: men and women, children, teenagers and adults, blacks, whites, Asians - simply everyone. Beyoncé, no matter how talented she is, does not have such a charismatic personality. Therefore, it makes no sense to even try to compare these two figures.
