All the clips are from Sand Sea.
The clip of Xiao Ge is actually from his solo trip to the Temple to visit his mother (flashback scene). Only I added it in with the others as it is meant to be WuXie’s POV imagining XiaoGe is there with his gang (like he reminisces over in the dialogue in earlier episodes), only to find he isn’t. Have even changed the coloring of the clip to make it look like an illusion.

Does anyone know what kind of relationship Wuxie and Qiling had in the novel Daomu Biji? The novel is not tagged bl or shounen ai, but in Donghua they showed their kiss scene so, I was wondering if their relationship was platonic in the novel.

They have never ever kissed in any production because Chinese Conservative Censorship wouldn’t allow such a thing.
In the novels they’re platonic soulmates (best friends) but they have a very strong CP fandom for 2 decades called PingXie. Although in a Manhua (webtoon) the author alluded to Xiao Ge having a crush on WuXie at a wedding scene where he gave him a box of chocolates.

I know he’s in episode 35 and one earlier than that…but I don’t remember, because the drama had 40+ episodes and came out in 2018. But all his scenes are in this edit so there’s that.
