This song isn’t about West Virginia. It’s about all those special places that you’ve been, and nearly forgotten. Keep those wondrous places in your heart.
Actually I think it's about all those cities that RT destroyed
@@long_term_karma9899 this song is about poop volcanoes.
@@AdmiralKarelia And obscene amounts of meteors
it's about western virginia, cuz the blue ridge mountain and shenandoah river are mostly in virginia, and only a little bit of both is in west virginia
That's what ppl not from west Virginia say to themselves in order to justify having an emotional connection to the song despite never being from the place it's about.
Psychology 101. I think Frued wrote a piece about it, or was it Jung?
The fact that it’s more “sitting round a campfire” than “sitting in a studio” makes it sound so much nicer

And just like this game, my favorite thing about lockdown was no people being around. I don't care what anyone says this game was better before Npcs were in it. I tried out the fallout 1st membership before they made the update, and I really loved it because it Felt like how it was supposed to be, the last man on Earth, everyone else is dead experience. When they put NPc's in it I never played it again
This game made me wish for an actual world ending event
Something about this version is just unmatched. John Denver did very well but this singer just captures the feeling more
Yeah I like John Denver but I’m sorry this cover IS the best version of the song. So mad it isn’t on Spotify.
It's probably the violins that nail the feeling of this version as opposed to the others
@@booyahgenius , And this man sounds like he's actually country
It's got the grit and soul of a Black man singing. This rendition isn't as clean sounding as John Denver's, so it has a kind of more down-to-earth character to it. Like you can hear through the singer's rendition his voice has some miles on them. Like he's lived a life worthy of singing the song.

Time to explain this to those who are whooshing me. I know this was a joke, I like taking jokes more seriously than they needed to be. I get the joke. Ha ha ha. It was a weak joke to begin with. Stop whooshing me, you're just being more cringy than you have to be. For the original comment, click read more.
For both, there are good reasons.
Sorta.
Windows 9 was skipped because a snippet of leaked code reveals that Windows does its compatibility checks if 9 is in the title(so, 95, 98 and ME... yeah not sure how ME fits in...).
Bethesda just decided naming the game after a vault was a better idea instead.
Ya know.
Because that won't cause issues trying to figure out the chronology of the games.

Me: I love country and folk music
Bethesda: Now your addicted
The original version by John Denver was more like a folk song style than country
Me: I don't like Folk/Country Music.
Bethesda and RTGame in unison: That's when your wrong Kiddo.

From launch to this very day, this game is and will always be the best game ever ❤️ thank you Todd. 76 is life
I agree. This is my First Fallout game and it's FANTASTIC❤❤
@@lorenzosevergnini7111 its The best. I totally understand why people didn't like it at Launch, it was buggy and all that BUT boy have they done some amazing things with it since. I actually really hope with fallout 5 they don't deter from some multiplayer features. Doesn't need to be MMO but at the very least be able to jump into your friends world and quest together. Fallout 4 for me was a little boring because it was only single player. 76 got it right 👌
The couple who wrote it for Jon Denver wrote it about an area where some of their friends live. They came up with the idea while they were driving from DC to Maryland.
They literally had an encyclopedia out looking up stuff about the area while writing the final version.
It's about the small portion of Jefferson County WV between the Shenandoah River and the Blue Ridge Mountains that extends from the Potomac river down until it becomes Virginia again near Raven rock.
I get to enjoy the distinct privilege of living there.

Fallout 76’s version of Country Roads will never fail to be enthralling to me.
