I didn't record any of these videos. I would like to credit recorders but they are obvious if you search with the game name. Some games has music, I didn't add any.

Which doesn´t work correctly (at least on Windows 10) it uninstalls itself all the time.

@@leruty yes, it works properly, you have to deactivate the multithread beacuse doen't support the multi core cpu, once you start the game, before start rally you have to go in the desktop, ctrl-alt-canc and in the affinity(details) deactivate all the cpu except one, and sound will be good
Richard Burns Rally is the best.
It has REALLY good physics, outdated graphics (I don't really care bout the graphics), spectators on the road and runs out of the way, other amazing details, and last but not the least, how unforgiving it is. Best rally game ever.
I liked Colin McRae Rally series more.
@@underratedphonker6395 Yeah but in a more sim rally and realism point of view, Richard Burns Rally is the best. The Colin Mcrae Rally and DiRT series are amazing too (Colin Mcrae Rally 4, 5, DiRT 2 and 3 are the best)

The feel of Richard burns rally felt horrible when you are actually going fast it feels like you are going like 20 mph, so imma just stick with colin mcrae rally series

Heh, when you look at Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0, you'll think of it differently.
Cpt. Sourcebird rbr is the closest experience, but dirt rally is the most fun experience

Which version did you play?
Mobile 1 RC and RAC Rally Championship are the ones I have fondest memory of. Both captured the wild slog through tight roads and winding muddy tracks. RBR has by far the best physics though, and I enjoyed the first couple of CMRs alot.
Dates are a bit off.
Sega Rally hit the arcades in 1994, ported to the Saturn in late 1995/very early 1996 depending on region.
It's noteworthy for being the first game to have multiple road surfaces with different qualities on a single track (going from tarmac to gravel for example).
Basically it was the game that made Rally games viable, which is why it's typically cited as the inspiration for all the series that followed.

Network Q RAC Rally Championship was released 11 months after the console port of Sega Rally and a whole *2 years* after the arcade version. (Sega Rally: October 1994 in Arcades, Network Q: October 1996)

Arcade games like Sega Rally were so far ahead of anything that could be bought on PC or consoles, think back in 1994 with almost VGA resolution and running at 60 FPS.

Why not? Sega rally set a ground mark for rally games from that point in era. Codemasters said Sega Rally was their inspiration for the Dirt series.

yeah iv'e played the demo and i gotta say atleast the dirt on the car is good looking :P but it's not my type. i like sim racers more.
Hopefully you didnt play the recent sega rally revo version, thats the worst version and it wasnt even made by sega. If you happen to be in the mood for fast rally action, then play Sega rally 2.

WRC RALLY EVOLVED
One thing I dislike about rally games is that they have a habit of doing basic pacenotes, like "easy left into medium right." I prefer the pacenotes in games like Colin McRae Rally: "5 left into 3 right"
FellianTheDragon all depends on the driver they gote the notes from, some use the easier ones, others, more complex.
I just turn off pace notes as soon as I can. I still haven't any use for them, when I'm going fast.

There is no wrc4 (2004) and this game is one of the best rally games ever made
my opinion is that wrc is not as good as dirt series (just my opinion) and you have true, its one of the best :)
@@GR4MPI yeah, i spent 143 hours in dirt rally (1.0) and its #1 rally game for me (haven't played 2.0 yet) :D But wrc4 from 2004 is my second best rally game :)
edit: i must add, WRC4 from 2004 and WRC4 from 2013 are completely different games made by different studios.
WRC 4 and Rally Evolved are the best games on my PS2 . And V-Rally 2 was my childhood game! (still have the PS1 disk)

I have V-rally 2 for PS1 and WRC Arcade for PS1. Both were awesome and i spent lots of hours playing. Especially with the track designer in vrally 2.

All Rally games graphics and detail of the car looks far better than other racing games.

I hope EA will soon develop their new rally game entitled "Jonas Andromeda Rally" which is endorsed/licensed by Jonas Andromeda and has 50+ cars and stages and as well as other race mode such as rallycross, hillclimb, rally raid and etc.

Yup, it is. Looks promising too. RBR is still more powerfull now (and has loads more content), but I'm wishing Codies all the best with Dirt Rally!
forgot world rally 1 and 2 arcade games. easily the best 2D rally games and better than most of the 3D ones on your list.

Thanks for this video, mate. I got many nostalgic memories. My 1st rallysim was CMR1 on PC & it was breathtakingly. Modern rally games (DIRT3, WRC series etc) are not so good. More than this, it's crap (especially car physics). Or maybe i becoming too old

I have played most of the windows games. I love Colin McRae. And I miss them. The best one was 2005. It was the first to have damage.

In the oldies you miss a little serie and that was Screamer 1 and 2, don't know if some remember that game but that was pretty good, somewhere in 95-97 if i remember well. But for me the ultimate rally game is Mobil 1 Rally Championship, it's the only rally game i know that has over 20 minutes stages. one has 30 minutes, that's where a copilot starts to be handy in modern crap rally games stages of max 2 minutes annoy me. Once you fail just restart you don't need a copilot as you remember everything, on a stage of 30 minutes there is not a chance to remember each turn unless you did the stage over 100 times. That is RALLY!

i remember playing all these games, the Q Rac rally (QRAC in my language means Dick) was amazing when it came out allthough the physics where retarded.
than Sega rally was to Arcady for my taste, V-Rally was also arcady but it was ok till the first Colin Mcrae came out...
Vrally 2 was fun though V rally3 was shit, colin mcrae on the other hand one good game after the other...

Marko Jovic in honesty i like wrc 3 more than 4, but the updated cars are what took the cake for me on wrc4 #PoloR haha and the i20x that Thierry Nueville* now drives.

In my opinion, the WRC FIA parts look much worse than the PS2 WRC games of this series...
great video, your missing some games like rally fusion, shox, wrc arcade on ps1, rally de africa games on ps1, euro rally ps2 and some new ones like dirt 4 etc. If you get a chance to make a new vid would be cool if you can ad those. keep up the good work. Why is a lot of people hating DiRT3 so much? It is not the most realistic, but I think it is still a nice rally game (maybe people hate it because they suck at gymkhana, or the snow is not slippery enough?)

I played back then I just know, what was what we had, there was nothing better.
Now look at the games....sometimes you can't tell if it's still a game.....for some.....
1:33 I loved Rally Championship! It could be old, but when you play with it, you still feel like you're in a true adventure and epic long trip.
Rally games that I didn't like: V-Rally 1 (crappy graphics, weird handling, races with laps) and Sega Rally 2 (cars are too different, races with laps and in the end it's good only for challenging your friend, but even so, it will soon be the same thing).

My favourite rally game is still the first Colin McRae. Simply down tot he fact that it's the first and only game to make me shift my body weight while turning. That, to me, perfectly defines why it's still the best to me after all these years. It was so immersive in how responsive and smooth, yet intense it's pure driving mechanics were. The game remains my favourite just for the pure simplicity of it. The one song in the entire game, the sound effects, the cars, the driving and handling, the Rally School mode, the menus, everything about it was so pure, striking, memorable, and just plain fun. 😊

May as well have stopped in 2005 with Richard Burns Rally.
Black letters on red background are difficult to read.
Honestly, I thought it looked OK. If you play it in large mode, it is readable. I also watched it on my 7" tablet and it was still OK. But you're right, should have used white for better viewing.

not a good idea though. pure red gets the worst compression artifacts in youtube, and it's damn near unreadable in lower quality streams. try a secondary color like a redish orange instead, since they use 2 color channels they're much clearer even in lower quality streams.
