I didn't record any of these videos. I would like to credit recorders but they are obvious if you search with the game name. Some games has music, I didn't add any.

CMR2.0 gota love it, still have it, still play it.
Mobile 1 RC and RAC Rally Championship are the ones I have fondest memory of. Both captured the wild slog through tight roads and winding muddy tracks. RBR has by far the best physics though, and I enjoyed the first couple of CMRs alot.

@@leruty yes, it works properly, you have to deactivate the multithread beacuse doen't support the multi core cpu, once you start the game, before start rally you have to go in the desktop, ctrl-alt-canc and in the affinity(details) deactivate all the cpu except one, and sound will be good

Thanks for doing this video. It must have been painstaking to get all the footage and everything else that it takes labor wise. Many great memories and many more to come when we get some more rally games on ps4 / Xbox one.

That Mobil 1 Rally Championship was my childhood game and it still is, bcuz i still have this game (works perfectly on windows 10)

Richard Burns Rally is the best.
It has REALLY good physics, outdated graphics (I don't really care bout the graphics), spectators on the road and runs out of the way, other amazing details, and last but not the least, how unforgiving it is. Best rally game ever.
I liked Colin McRae Rally series more.
@@underratedphonker6395 Yeah but in a more sim rally and realism point of view, Richard Burns Rally is the best. The Colin Mcrae Rally and DiRT series are amazing too (Colin Mcrae Rally 4, 5, DiRT 2 and 3 are the best)

The feel of Richard burns rally felt horrible when you are actually going fast it feels like you are going like 20 mph, so imma just stick with colin mcrae rally series
Sega Rally is the greatest arcade racer of all time. So, so much fun! Perfect handling, perfect courses.. just spot on!
My favourite rally game is still the first Colin McRae. Simply down tot he fact that it's the first and only game to make me shift my body weight while turning. That, to me, perfectly defines why it's still the best to me after all these years. It was so immersive in how responsive and smooth, yet intense it's pure driving mechanics were. The game remains my favourite just for the pure simplicity of it. The one song in the entire game, the sound effects, the cars, the driving and handling, the Rally School mode, the menus, everything about it was so pure, striking, memorable, and just plain fun. 😊
WRC 4 and Rally Evolved are the best games on my PS2 . And V-Rally 2 was my childhood game! (still have the PS1 disk)
so do i bro, still have my ps1 v rally 2 and colin mc 2, and on ps2 i just have one rally game but is one of the best on this platform(wrc 4) such a good game!!
I have V-rally 2 for PS1 and WRC Arcade for PS1. Both were awesome and i spent lots of hours playing. Especially with the track designer in vrally 2.

My childhood games were cmr2, rbr and rally championship 1999
I still miss rbr and cmr2, but luckily i still have that rally championship (works perfectly on windows 10)
Arcade games like Sega Rally were so far ahead of anything that could be bought on PC or consoles, think back in 1994 with almost VGA resolution and running at 60 FPS.
Network Q RAC Rally Championship was my first out of these, I had a wheel and pedal setup too, such good times!

All Rally games graphics and detail of the car looks far better than other racing games.
3:50 Literally the best rally game for that time, still today one of most interesting physics and overall experience! I remember as a kid I playing it for hours, still have the original cd

Dates are a bit off.
Sega Rally hit the arcades in 1994, ported to the Saturn in late 1995/very early 1996 depending on region.
It's noteworthy for being the first game to have multiple road surfaces with different qualities on a single track (going from tarmac to gravel for example).
Basically it was the game that made Rally games viable, which is why it's typically cited as the inspiration for all the series that followed.

Network Q RAC Rally Championship was released 11 months after the console port of Sega Rally and a whole *2 years* after the arcade version. (Sega Rally: October 1994 in Arcades, Network Q: October 1996)

Lombard rally?! I distinctly remember when my dad plays this game and kinda hijacked my computer back in the 90's. He always loved rally. He even bought a Dreamcast a couple years before he passed away, just to play Sega Rally 2 ...

I've played R.A.C a lot of times, when I was younger... My cd died, because i've played it like 4 hours a day and 8 hours a day when I was on holidays! Best memories with this game ^_^

4:34 is one hell of a fine rally game. The soundtrack, the sounds, the cars, the tracks. They were all good. I still play it to this day.
Richard Burns was the best simulation game by far!!! So tough to remain on the road. Graphics weren’t great but the feeling was!!!!

Rallisport Challenge 2 is the best rally game ever made. The graphics alone looks like the current gaming graphics of today. It was way ahead of its time.
Sega rally is an all time classic. Remember playing it on the Sega Saturn back in the day and I thought games could not get any better. I was obviously wrong. Classic game.

I have played most of the windows games. I love Colin McRae. And I miss them. The best one was 2005. It was the first to have damage.

Making a rally racing game list is a tough task. There are so many games that it's easy to miss a few. As some mentioned of the few, one was Master Rallye for PC and PS2. I love games that are more Arcade like or semi-sim. I remember International Rally Championship [1997] on the PC. It is still fun. Love the WRC series on the PS2. Also the V-Rally 2 on the PS1 and Dreamcast plus V-Rally 3 for PS2, as well as the RalliSport Challenge, Xpand Rally series and early Colin McRae Rally games. Not sure what my top list would be but, who cares? I got the ones I like and play them as I wish. Modern rally games are to simulated and select few are great IMO.

One thing I dislike about rally games is that they have a habit of doing basic pacenotes, like "easy left into medium right." I prefer the pacenotes in games like Colin McRae Rally: "5 left into 3 right"
FellianTheDragon all depends on the driver they gote the notes from, some use the easier ones, others, more complex.
I just turn off pace notes as soon as I can. I still haven't any use for them, when I'm going fast.

wrc 3 is awsome but the fourth game in the series is better, the best wrc game i played until now was wrc envolved!!!

I casually played Dirt 1 on my PS3 last week. When I saw the 2006 date, I shitted an hug brick, and had to double check on the box of the game.... Holy shit time flies !!!

A few things I'd like to mention:
- all Sega Rally titles except 2006 have their original version in the arcade and all other versions are ports from the arcade
- the V-Rally developer is called Infogrames not Infrogames
Oh my god world rally championship for the PS2 was the shit. I think it's one of the most underrated rally games. One of the first games I got on my PS2.

A lot of great memories here for me. Spent hours, days and weeks playing v-rally 3 as a kid. The problem with rally games, like most racing games is the replayability isn't really there. In my opinion anyway.
1:33 I loved Rally Championship! It could be old, but when you play with it, you still feel like you're in a true adventure and epic long trip.
Rally games that I didn't like: V-Rally 1 (crappy graphics, weird handling, races with laps) and Sega Rally 2 (cars are too different, races with laps and in the end it's good only for challenging your friend, but even so, it will soon be the same thing).
And now we just got WRC 4 2013, which is awesome :)

There is no wrc4 (2004) and this game is one of the best rally games ever made
my opinion is that wrc is not as good as dirt series (just my opinion) and you have true, its one of the best :)
@@GR4MPI yeah, i spent 143 hours in dirt rally (1.0) and its #1 rally game for me (haven't played 2.0 yet) :D But wrc4 from 2004 is my second best rally game :)
edit: i must add, WRC4 from 2004 and WRC4 from 2013 are completely different games made by different studios.

Thanks for this video, mate. I got many nostalgic memories. My 1st rallysim was CMR1 on PC & it was breathtakingly. Modern rally games (DIRT3, WRC series etc) are not so good. More than this, it's crap (especially car physics). Or maybe i becoming too old

It's funny how Richard burns rally was so much more realistic than all the rest of these titles, yet it is middle of the road regarding release date. It is certainly regarded as the most realistic rally simulator ever released, and even one of the most realistic simulators ever released (even considering its age)
Dirt Rally is definitely a step up in physics compared to the previous Dirt games though, and certainly gives RBR a run for its money.
You forgot about one of the best rally game in 2000 year - Rally Masters Race of Champions :)
DiRT Rally tops them all imo. everyone should look it up and try it out. Its in early access so they can build the game up with the community to aim for the best rally sim.
I hope EA will soon develop their new rally game entitled "Jonas Andromeda Rally" which is endorsed/licensed by Jonas Andromeda and has 50+ cars and stages and as well as other race mode such as rallycross, hillclimb, rally raid and etc.
