Yeah. Mona had the viewers trust as a friend to the girls (Hannah). Cece was always a red herring, Alex and Archie we didn't even know existed as characters. Mona felt like the true shock reveal that was satisfying

I whole time thought that Angela is A, that she somehow survived. I didn't expect that A could be her brother, like we didn't get to know about him till this episode, there should have been like clues or anything. That principal should get help and Archie too like, it's been years since Angela died and wanting take revenge on kids, it's not normal, could have took revenge on Beasley, he deserved more. I hope 2 season comes and we can see some backstory of A. I'm still shocked about ending, like he got in hospital and then he wounded can do that much stuff? Is he even human?

Did it feel to anyone else that the girls' friendship was so surface level? They were all there for Imogen and Tabby but none of the other girls (Faran, Mouse, Noa) really shared their hardships with the other girls unless it had to deal with the plot.
EDIT: I believe this is bad writing and it makes it really hard to care for the other "main" characters or see them as realistic friends. The writers should have done better at forming their connection.
Because at the end of the day, it was really Imogen and Tabby's stories. But they needed more girls to form a circle.

I feel that too! I feel like it was all so surface only bc they all came together bc they hated Karen. So there was no actual relationships before that so it didn’t go as deep as the original PLL.

I had my suspicions that something was wasn't right with chip when he started hanging around Imogen and going with her to the doctor's appointments. especially when it was established from the first episode that he had a thing for Tabby but I was shocked at the principal was Angela's father that was a plot twist I didn't see coming.
Its crazy how i thought he was sweet and cute too but as soon as tabby started to be suspicious about him and when she and imogen came to the cinema and he came down to talk to them he looked hella creepy

Unpopular opinion….. I wish it was Shawn (the one who assaulted Tabby and Imogen) Chip was imo a cliche of the “nice guy” but Shawn….. he seems more likable to the point where it would have hurt if he turned out to be a rapist. Plus I think it would have made a good plot if he was targeting these specific group of girls (first Tabby then Imogen then working his way to Noa as his next victim) also I was mad because Shawn was my first guess but Chip was my second.

Madame Giry made her feel imperfect because of her scar as if it would affect her dancing. Her punishment was to make Madame Giry imperfect by using a tattoo Gun on her.
Madame Giry actually picked on her a lot when Karen was alive. She discouraged her from pursuing ABT (a ballet school) because of her skin color and she immediately believed Karen about the razor blade in her ballet slipper. She also constantly removed Faran from the production of Black Swan and made her feel lesser than. She was a bully.

Honestly the 10 episodes did not allow for real bully energy to build up for many characters. It was more so that we were told "oh they are bully just trust us on that one" then give us 1-2 examples. The emotional impact just wasn't there
the finale makes sense but it personally feels like they threw EVERYTHING in one episode,,, idk it just feels overloaded. and based on the clues they showed in previous episodes (and the intro) i was glad to be proven right with my theories. but yeah, it just feels all so jam packed in a slightly overwhleming way.

I felt that way too! The episode was almost 50 minutes long, shorter than episode 9 (100%) and I think maybe episode 8 too. But yet it felt like while everything was there, we were missing something.

I knew that A had to be somebody of importance to Angela, but one thing I did not at all suspect was the principle to be her father.
I was wishing that Imogen was Angela’s child all along and that Davie adopted her out of guilt for all that she did to Angela. I mean Angela and Imogens facial features look kind of similar. I wanted someone who knew that secret to be A and maybe tried persuading Imogen to joining them (like Mona tried getting Spencer to being A with her when she is revealed to be A in the books).

I have no issue with A being her brother and father. I always figure A was a family member of Angela. Im okay with Angela being twin, the difference between Spencer being a twin and Angela being a twin, is that we dont know much about Angela, other than flashbacks. With Spencer, she was already developed character when Alex was introduced, it just felt random.
My biggest isse with this A reveal, it was very random. The principle was rarely in it. So it felt that the writers just pull out name from a hat. I wish he was more involved, like trying to get the girls trust. Like they did with Chip. Him being rapist was shocking but at the same time not surprise. He seem like someone who can trusted, and look after Tabby but later you see him having werid behavior that you cant really brush off till the point who questioned if he really nice guy
Conceptually this is so good but the reveal is so weak. I wished the principal was more involved to the story beforehand. They could've made the reveal like in Scream where A will run into them and be like "what's going on here?" Then the girls will ask for help thinking the principal is a good guy and he's gonna bring out a gun and make them sit. Or he can just bring Chip on the stage and kill him there to make it campy and horrific reveal.
I feel like everything just kind of all got puked up at the end. There wasn't anything that?? satisfying? Was Clanton waiting for all of the girls to be vulnerable/ have secrets/ issues to finally strike? Like Imogen's pregnancy, Noa's drug testing etc? I dont know if it would work with the timeline, but I think Angela might have had a child and her mother made her give the baby up. It just feels like there has to be more with Angela and her connection to the teenagers/ Millwood than being bullied by the girls moms. When Ash said he was adopted, I knew he couldn't be A but wondered why they made a point to mention that instead of just saying his parents were supportive. It felt like a clue. I kinda hoped that either someone really unexpected would be A, or that Angela was A and somehow survived since her body wasn't "found until days after". I feel like "A" works better as a network rather than one person.
I love how I barely heard this was coming out, and now I had no idea that this show was out and over lmao
R. A. S said that 🅰️rchie storyline is over for now, he's out there making trouble outside of millwood but for season 2 there's going to be another villain, probably another person stealing 🅰️'s game, and a totally new mystery. So the show its not over

Is anyone curious to why Angela entered the gym in such a messy state? I thought she was assaulted that day, but the assault was before the party, so what happen to her on the way to the party? They never really adress that.
She was just upset from arguing with her mom then they ignored her when she got to the party so ig it was too much for her
@@318jaay It doesnt really make that much sense, Angela really didnt have that much friends and the girls were inside, so she wouldnt feel ignored until she got to the party. And the argument with her mother didnt make her entered the party and kneel and ask for help. It seems like the writers wrapped things up so fast. She went to a party and kill herself minutes after getting there? there is no build up to that scene. It doesnt seem that plausible.

QUESTIONS I HAVE/THINGS THAT DIDN'T ADD UP TO ME:

-If The Waters house had been abandoned why was Joe still going there? And why was he killed by Archie if Archie is just punishing the guilty?
-Why did everyone brush over the fact that Wes was predatory towards Tabby? He said he was the same age is Ari Aster (who is 36) then later said he was 20 in the episode where Tabby's mom confronts him at the movie theatre.
-Greg was never held accountable for being rude/sexually harassing Tabby during the filming of her American Psycho rewrite
-All of the "bullies" that were taken to taunt the Liars (Steve, Chip, The Drug Dealer, etc.) what happened to them? I mean I know what happened to Chip but those people are supposed to just move on?
-Why did Mouse's dad basically try to steal her at the carnival all those years ago and then when she showed up, he wanted nothing to do with her?
-Was Kelly really Kelly? The scars on her foot and the whole "call me Karen" during her hookup with Greg was just weird. And one of the last scenes Kelly showed up wearing Angela's clothes which wasn't really addressed
-Why were only SOME of the text messages that the girls received signed with A?
-Why did Davie (Imogen's mom) mark the tub with "A" if it was a suicide? The note was not signed with A so why did she do that?
-What's the explanation for 1992 being written on Mouse's "missing persons" flyer in the show intro?
Overall I think the show was a victim of cliches and a lot of bad writing. I only watched so I could understand Mike Mic's breakdown video on it. Principal Clanton being Angela's dad was a good twist but ultimately a short-lived payoff for the 10 hours of mess that the audience was subjected to.
*I think Archie killed Joe because Joe knew Angela was raped but didn't do anything to help her.
*I do believe Kelly is actually Kelly but just misses Karen and also was jealous of Karen being more popular and acknowledged at school.
*Mouse's dad probably didn't want to deal with Mouse's mom and risk getting in legal trouble.
*In the subsequent episodes, it's supposed to be apparent that those messages were from A.
*It still wasn't made completely clear if Davie killed herself or not.
*Maybe Mouse's flyers were a combination of 1999 and 2022; or maybe it was just a typo?
*Maybe Steve and the drug dealer will leave the girls alone. Noa's mom was serious about going into rehab so maybe the drug dealer stopped coming to her. And Mouse's moms ambushed Steve so...
A lot of these could be adressed in future seasons I feel, also Kelly trying to be Karen makes sense when you see how her family, especially her dad, reacted to Karen dying, Kelly probably felt like if she wasn’t Karen then she wasn’t worth shit so she tried to become her to please everyone around her, pretty fucked up for sure but the way people treated Kelly when compared to Karen is just as fucked up imo.

One think I wish it would have been someone around their age. Not the principal. I expected it to be some off the wall adult with riverdale being the creators. Since they did the same thing with the father in riverdale.

It wasn't Marlene who created the twins stuff (and iirc Marlene isn't even involved in this project). The twins come as an homage to the twins storyline of the Pretty Little Liars books

This reveal was very weak and such a letdown. I was genuinely expecting to be surprised and thought A was going to be revealed to be someone that made me yell OMG!!
Instead, it's the principal we barely saw who never did or said anything suspicious and his son who we never even knew existed.
I feel the exact same way!! A or the person controlling A should have been someone we didn’t expect, but principal Clanton was so unexpected and not involved in the storyline at all that it doesn’t seem believable.
It was still shocking that Chip was the father of Imogen’s baby, but there was still a lead up to it by the way he was acting. He was unexpected but suspected, if that makes sense.
Even tho Mona is still the best A. However, I can't say this A was a huge letdown. The thing with Angela is anyone could be A. For two reasons, the girls didn't know Angela, and their moms refused to talk about Angela. So they had to start from square one to know who Angela was, like what kind of person she was and what kind of relationship she had with their mothers to know who is A. So if anyone acted a bit suspicious, then it huge clue on who was A. I mean, Chip acted a bit suspicious, and just with that, many ppl predicted Chip was a rapist before the finale. As for Angela having a twin, it wasn't bad, just because Angela was kind of a stranger. We only know she was getting bullied and didn't know much about her family. I assume A was Angela's family member or close friend to be after the girls. The situation with Ali was different since the girls knew Ali and what kind of person she was. So the question was, who hated Ali so much that she wanted her dead? So wit that pick a random person would have been a week.
However, the writing could have still been better since Imogen was looking at yearbooks. I feel like she would have run into a picture of Mr. Clanton in the yearbook. I do feel like for someone like Imogen it would be OOC for her to not ask questions about Mr. Clanton being Vice principal the same year Angela killed herself esp since Imogen was tracking down any random stranger who know Angela to find some answers.
It was very obvious that A was a guy and that he somehow knew Angela I wasn't expecting the principal to be her dad though as for the chip thing I did guess it was him because they were dropping hints and clues that pointed to him before it was revealed even though I didn't want it to be him ..... The show was pretty good but it had it's flaws but what show doesn't

It was mid I felt like the timing doesn’t really make sense like why would they act now after all those years? Idk it felt weird like the reveal could have been paced out better additionally the whole monologue felt odd. Also the acting was ehhh Bailee did a good job though so kudos to her!

I can't say I feel sorry for the deceased mother of Imogen... that was a horrible thing to do. Like Mona, Principal Clanton had good reason to want revenge but yeah it was more justified since she got direct revenge on her tormentors when he went after their daughters. The blood is still dirty... the victims in this universe are never completely undeserving... they have it coming to a certain extent sadistic as it sounds. The PLL books were even worse in the sense they were even more unlikable there... the show gave them some personality at least.
What annoys me about the principal being A though is why would he want to kill Imogen while she’s pregnant? The innocent baby has nothing to do with what happened and given that he knows what it feels like to go through the death of a child he would want to have Imogen killed in a very gruesome manner? Like no and he never really came off as a sadist so that doesn’t work either.
They revealed everything in the last episode what will happend in season 2 ?

I think the name is just a wink and nod to Riverdale. If there's a season 2, I assume the mask will come off to fully confirm, but it seems there's no actual connection between the shows other than easter eggs.

I guess the only thing missing to understand is to what extent he knew of A, but I thought his storyline was wrapped up as well as we can expected from PLL: he loved Angela and knew that someone was involved in getting revenge on those in on what happened to her. It was too overwhelming for him and he was pushed to end his life after seeing Rose’s body.

And that's what made principal Clanton told A to tamper mess with the liars when he told A to mess up Karen's spirit queen posters on Imogen & Tabby, switch spark Noa's urine test cup so she would be drug positive, put the razor blade in Karen's ballet shoe on Faran, and the dead rat in Karen's bag on Mouse!!!

*and just like that* ... it all went to the pooper.... seriously? A TWIN we never knew about, revealed at the LAST second?! did they learn nothing from last time?
we are suppose to be able to figure it out as clues are hidden in plain sight.. when you reveal a secret twin at the last second, that kind of ruins the whole thing...
i also thought, they would keep A a secret so we would get more seasons... but now all is revealed.
this show was SO good at building suspense.... but it's all about the landing... and to ME personally they just ruined it all.
Now i know the writers can't be trusted, so whatever season 2 will bring, they are now starting from scratch and WHY would they do that? it's hard to care now.
now i know, they care more about a big TWIST at the finale, instead of delivering what actually would make slightly more sense. we know they reveal characters at the last second no one knew about, and we know there is nothing more to really follow with the girls, as it's ALL been revealed now.
this show was so good, but it would all depend on the finale, and i am honestly SO disappointed.
Maybe there won't be a season 2 as everything was answered. The only question that needs answered is who's that in the As mask at the end of the episode 10
The brother thing didn't completely come out of nowhere. The trunk they show in the credits and throughout the show has a picture of a young Angela and another kid.

Y'all need to watch the full episode not just from this clip. They're not starting with a new A. This A comes back and maybe he will be more brutal in season 2. plus, not showing who Archie is might be a serve since the liars know about him but have no idea what he look like which I think is a great way to start off the next season.
Please do not renew for a second season. The world will be a lot better. Trust me.

Just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean other’s feel the same. As a horror geek I LOVED this show. And with that cliffhanger I am going to NEED a second season, no doubt about that. Just move on with your day, because it’s safe to say I don’t trust you and I know many others don’t as well.

@@sighmajesty7290 Actually I’m not. When I first hear this show was happening, I wasn’t happy and was absolutely terrified of what it was gonna become. It succeeded my expectations by a long shot. The show isn’t crappy, you just don’t like that it’s a women run show that talks about triggering trauma that men cause to women on a daily basis.
