Today I decided to search it up not knowing what I would find, but this video is the first one I came across and I watched this whole play through on the edge of my seat haha. It was so much fun, and you are really really good. When you saved your game I laughed so hard because I thought the same … how the f ?! This was such great nostalgia, and it’s really sad it shows you haven’t posted in 5 years. I hope you change your mind and post again, I’m for sure a fan ☺️✨

Pretty sure this one is algorithmically screwed :) Also - a (maybe?) fun fact - I had to record this mission several times over. Like 5-6 times over. It was ridiculously difficult in this early version of the mod I used! Still, thank you very much for the nice words!

It was pretty intense, but since December the mission has changed a bit so it should be a bit easier... seriously, you can't imagine how many times I had to record this damn mission! lol.
You know you should have put more archers on the city's second level wall so the breach could lessen, if you could produce six units of gondor knights and send them to destroy the catapults before the next enemy wave is launched, because those siege engines are destroying everything.If you could do all this you could still survive the half the siege. ( and make sure to upgrade all units )
I agree, however upgrading all units kills my economy. In this missions current state, its vital to just spam out Gondor soldiers. Perhaps I should have sent out some cavalry to deal with the catapults, however I was so busy just making the city surive, and well... it looks cool with flaming rocks flying all over the place. I should've sent more men to the second wall though, for sure!

Yes, the zoom out does work with this mod. You'll see me use it in later parts of the series :) I forgot about it for the earlier parts, so thats why I didn't use it.
Hello there my friend, I was hoping if you could contact me privately so you could tell me how to install the bloody MOD because I'm still having the same issues as before. Please :( Totaly desperate for this mod.
In case you have problem with population you can use the trebuchets on the wall to kill some archers from the 4 battalion the stage gives you it comes in handy to take advantage of that benefit to make some more trebuchets at least 7 with fire stones which is important to take out Grond (in the normal mod with 10 trebuchets with fire stones and Ents you can destroy Grond and save the gate). If you accomplish that you don't need Rohan or Aragorn with army of the dead. In the elven alliance mon unfortunately is impossible to destroy Grond it is way too OP
Why didn't you use your special power points? Also as a mounted hero, Gandalf is supposed to go behind enemy lines and destroy catapults or basis here.
If you watched the video you will notice that the power points are greyed out, save for the active ones and the healing. You would also notice that Gandalf was much needed to keep the city together in this mod. In vanilla I would agree with your tactics - those simply don't work here.
So chaotic way of playing, no unit upgrades especially the fire arrows, no wall constructions performed after the first wave of the enemy arrived, I wonder why didn't you build watchtowers? So much clicking and clicking. All forces should be focus on destroying the enemy's moving towers later on the catapults, almost no use of Gandalf's powers. How could you win this?! That only shows that I need to get back playing this game! xD
If you play vanilla, this mission can practically be done sleeping. Modded is the way to go for intensity! IIRC, The Eleven Alliance Community Edition is pretty challenging as well, would recommend it.
I didn't do anything in particular, as far as I can remember - it has been a few years, after all. I don't know if the mod creator changed the command points since I recorded the video, but I doubt it. If you want higher CP I would recommend you to download some sort of trainer. I'm sure that won't be too difficult.

Did you figure this out? I would advise you to download a trainer or perhaps read up on how to increase the CP via gamefiles. I didn't do anything special, IIRC. I'm not sure why there would be a difference, unless the mod creator edited the Minas Tirith map - I remember he did change it a bit based on my feedback, but as far as I know that had nothing to do with the good sides' CP.
Good question.. I can't quite remember. I do think it was a conscious decision however.. you could always ask the mod creator on Moddb. It may have been tweaked by now, though.

Hey dude, thanks alot :). I didn't get any virus from the mod, just make sure you download it from the correct author and not some shady russian website. It does make the game a lot like the movies, just a shame it doesn't support the evil campaign yet. Anyways, enjoy the mod dude. :)

The mod was simply updated. My version on the video here is just madness. I don't know if you can even download this mod anymore - I haven't been keeping track of it. I would recommend perhaps downloading a version of the mod from around the time (or a few days earlier) of the mod from when my video was uploaded. Otherwise, I don't have the version any longer - you're on your own. Try contacting the mod creator, perhaps. Good luck!

Yes, I contacted the creator of the mod and he fixed the issue with the walls (back in december 2017). The version of the mod shown in these videos were just newly released, so some bugs are to be expected :). But, IIRC, the mod creator did fix it.

those catapults are so over powered same with isenguards ones in BFME1 so hard to counter them if they marco move them properly

How did you get 800 command points? It wont let me get past 300 even if the mission I do is supposed to give me more than that
