Check out the brand new revised Aspero by Cervelo, The kept the core of the bike but made some big changes were it counts for the rider and also the price point of the bikes make it pretty nice at the entry level and touch all the way up to the more experience riders as well
When you can barely hold it up when weighing, that says it all
Fantastic looking bike. The geometry numbers are pretty sweet too, very similar to Crux which is perfect.
bike looks great just not the biggest fan of the slopping top tube
@@GCPerformance18slopping top tube makes sense tbh it's a better design
Much more capable but I miss the more straight top tube the older Aspero had.
Yea I don’t like the sloping top tube
@@GCPerformance18 I have the original Áspero and it’s phenomenal racing Cyclocross.
You hit it, less cyclocross and more gravel focused.
I think it’s a nice bike, but the Crux is the Gravel bike I’d want if I had the choice.
I rode an Aspero for 3 years. Been on an Sworks Crux since march and I can’t say enough about the crux. Bike is amazing.
I have an Aspero 5 that I've made my all-arounder. I pop on 45mm wheels with 30c tires for road and 32mm wheels with 43c tires for gravel. The frame geo is more aggressive for a gravel bike so it's closer feel to my road bikes. From plain looks, it's similar to the Caledonia. I was able to sell off 2 road bikes and my gravel bike and to be replaced by the Aspero. Weight is up there for a road build but I run it 2x and it still goes plenty fast. I have the lime shimmer and it looks awesome in the sun.
Looks like a great option. It's a small thing, but one thing I like on some newer bikes is how many are using a traditional seat post clamp. The wedge-style clamps can slip, get stuck, corrode... they're just not great. A traditional seat clamp works better in every way.
Hello GC Performance, nice video , I don't know if you saw the giro where Pogi in your favorite wheelset, went down and hit hard, only whit a flat, so my theory they will blame to the street ... Anyway waiting for you third or fourth chapter of the saga the world vs hookless
Prefer my OG Aspero with XPLR and Zipp 303, that thing is rides like a dream.
got a pic?
Okay okay grant I'll buy one FFS. Can't find GC Performance on Google though ya hooligan 😂❤️
Lmao give Ethan a call at tune cycle
aspero 5 already had internal cables
Yes, but it’s much more expensive
I hope Specialized brings out a Crux with intergrated cables or at the very least make a Crux Comp with electronic shifting.
I hjave a feeling they wil and also I have a feeling they are going to correct alot of there prices to compete with trek and cannondale
lol the reason I got the crux was no pointless integration. I don’t want to have to pull my entire bike apart just to service headset bearings or replace a cable
Try slapping on a bigger tire and see if it fits, I wont pick up a new framset that cant easily clear a 45c.
Just checked one out at a shop, no problem for 45 tires.
I have a spare carbon road wheelset for my Giant Revolt race bike. So depending on my mood and locale - its 32mm Conti GP 5000's or 47mm Pathfinder Pro's.
And I like peanuts.
Nice bike, but man it sucks to pack an internal routing bike in an orucase if you fly, good thing I still have my time izon
oh yes, anything internal cables sucks to pack but we are seeing more and more options now to accommodate not having to take off handlebars for travel cases, for around like 700 bucks, and if you are traveling a lot that you need a travel case they are well protected and worth the investment
it cant take 50mm
Headset cable routing🙄
This release is a bit of a let down for me. I was hoping it would come with some frame storage like the Canyon Grail (and a sleek specific made frame bag type thing would have been great too for such a racey gravel bike).
Definitely a fantastic bike! Thanks for sharing!
The $3500 version is horrible, it is like riding a 1980s hardtail. The wheels and tires are heavy, the brake modulation is vague and the handlebars have a weird flair. On the plus side the shifting was great. No other versions were available for test ride.
I liked the GRX version of this bike. The color is gorgeous in person; not obscene and comfortable to eyes. Geometry makes more sense as gravel bike as opposed to cx bike type. Too bad about tire clearance, but honestly I felt 45 is too much so it should be fine. Not sure if this is good for bikepacking, since I don't like racing or group rides at all.
NO, threaded doesnt mean more reliable. Actually it can be worse. The metal shell is bonded into the carbon but you can have galvanic corrosion, and we've seen some bikes with a loose shell, turning into the frame...
I hate the Cervelo’s bottom bracket. No threaded, no deal!
It is threaded
Then you got a deal😂
Exactly how internal routing should be done…clean but still easy to customise fit.
Absolutely
What's. Fixed.
Excellent..👌
TUNE Cycles are the best!
good people
fine, and now release the venge
soon
we don't like the internal cables
interesting
*I* don't like internal cables
I considered the Aspero last year, but the pressfit bottom bracket was a deal breaker. I'm so glad they went to the T47. There is nothing like a low maintenance, creak free bottom bracket.
I have 3 bikes with pressfit bb´s with way over 25k miles on them, none of them are creaking.
Love the Aspero, my wife rides it for commuting. @GCPerformance18 You helped me during my faltbar build. It rides great so far.
Very cool!
