Your dogs' joy in their work is such a pleasure to watch and a great escape from all the bad news surrounding us. I loved hearing that the reward for doing a run correctly is that Echo gets to herd a little bit.
So sorry about your accident and glad it's healing well!

Sorry you experienced a head injury. Mild concussion is nothing to be taken lightly. Any concussion can have side effects pop up later on in the recovery process. Glad you checked out well and laid low for several days. I m sure the dogs missed their routine and Stacey was concerned for your well being. Looked like Echo was doing well in his training on this video clip. He is such a great dog!

Ouch! I know how that feels. I got a head injury falling over my handle bars on my bike. I was switch blading and hit a stump I didn’t see. Over I went, landing on the right side of my forehead. When I woke up the next morning, it looked like someone hit me across the eyes, face with a two by four. My eyes swelled shut, my face looked like a deformed monster. They called it a Closed Head Injury. Man…what an experience I had

Dear Sean, despite your desire to get back at doing everything as you had b4, you seriously must cut back for a bit. You are not invincible, dear friend. Your wife is of great support to keep an eye on ye, and don't argue with her! She knows what is best, too. Care for you and your blessed gift. Love your shepherd hook, so ask He above to keep your guardian angel closer than usual. Much care and appreciation from Massachusetts, USA. Formerly 😊. 👋

Once the dog is out working, would it herd the sheep if you didn’t give the commands? Like…if you got distracted, would the dog be able to finish the job? Get the sheep into the next field or pen? It wouldn’t just lay down, or run back to you would they? Idk…..but I sure do love watching them do their job….their beautiful!

Sean, great training, thank you for sharing. PLEASE protect your head. As a farmer myself, & as many other farmers can also understand / relate that work, training needs to get done, no matter the season. Still, take precautions & do not take lightly the mild concussion. Try and keep your workload to a minimum and light even for a couple of weeks after the concussion.
