We’re going to blame autocorrect. The thumbnail was correct 😞
We just got the new stats, Autocorrect is the top paid comedy writer in the industry today.
@Stephen Lemont you guys and your Phish finders.
Rob Zombie doesn’t forget the lyrics, he forgets he has asthma.
Fking ded 😂 I was wondering who else was going to notice
Rob Zombie live is a joke. But dam the studio version rocks.
@@XYang-jg6wu - Totally agree, yet, real fans are afraid to agree with you.
I am a die-hard Zombie fan, but I'll never make the mistake of going to a third LIVE show of his.
@@XYang-jg6wu it's excellent when you're actually in the venue, I find you don't notice or care about screwups nearly as much. But yeah the albums are where he shines
I mean to be fair, apparently they almost set the building on fire the last time they were here, Rob was probably told to tone it down a bit. Stage doesn’t seem big enough for them to do their full act at full volume.
I remember staying up to watch this with the volume down low to not get caught... Little did I know my mom was a fan too.
We met your mom during his set at a festival back in the day. She was crowd surfing and we passed her along. Don’t worry; we were respectful.
Same 😂😂
@@thelettermanpodcast and this kid, is how I met your mother
@@barnaby_jones3098 huzzah to Harrison’s mom!
Bros mom is a stranger to him 😂 stop making up stories i think youd know if your mom was a Rob Zombie fan. Dem likes feel good tho right?
The sound system just wasn't ready for this performance😅
Guitar sounds like ass
His awesomeness broke it. 😂🤘At least we know he doesn't have to lip sync like so many others.
Neither was Rob. Dude was out of breath 30 seconds in
😂😂😂😂😂
@@EntertainMeNow78FACTS
“What key do you want to sing, Rob?”
“Yes”
To be fair this is some of the best live singing I've seen from him 😅
i was at 1:12 in the song when i read this comment and i actually choked laughing 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Old people falling asleep to letterman in 1998 thinking the devil has finally come for them
Underrated comment 😂
What the hell? Best comment ever, it explains a lot
Dave really did have every genre of music on the show.
Ahh you think this is hardcore stuff eh? Cant remember him doing any blackmetal or grindcore 😂
@@harveysengers1379 lol imagine if they brought on some death metal bands back then
@@harveysengers1379imagine him having Gorgoroth on there. The whole show would have been taken off the air and banned indefinitely 😂
@@harveysengers1379 You think that talk shows / mainstream TV today has anything like that or anything like Rob Zombie today? It's really gone in the opposite direction.
@@harveysengers1379because that doesn’t sell albums. TV is a business
Some say Rob is still trying to catch his breath (awesome performance either way, no denying the man brings it)
He was catching his breath from 1992 at this point...
Yeah,he can't do live ...
hahaha It always bugs me when lead singers don’t say the last word of a song’s verse when singing live. He still does it too. I just saw him for the first time here in Phoenix. AMAZING show, but felt a little short
@VanScott100 So, the reason he's stopping early is so, he can take enough breath for the next phrase. In the original recording the last word of the phrase slightly overlaps the next phrase because they were recorded individually and not all in one take. Most artist don't write their songs for a live performance, which is why some bands can't play all of their songs live.
@@anthonylopez5650 Maybe he should have. I can't imagine he can't sing every one of his songs live... which seems to be the case.
Just goes to show how important cardio is for singing
Exactly!
Dude has super bad asthma from interviews over the years. So when hes running around hes just making it harder on himself. While if that is true the fact he still puts the performance on as well is pretty amazing.
@@BushyKalhe has bad asthma from interviews? 😭😭😭
@@dollsteak020 From interviews he has spoken about his asthma. im on the internet not a english lit class my b lol
I wasn't the only one confused, thanks for clarifying😅
Believe it or not, this is one of his better live performances.
"That's off their Christmas album, ladies and gentlemen." 🤣
Rob Zombie live sounds like a local cover band playing Rob Zombie live
Yeah, I'm just surprised that Rob Zombie got to be on a late night show. And so proud he did. I was playing Twisted Metal 2 or 3 when I first heard this. What a legend.
I first heard it on sled storm ps1 game
That would be twisted metal 4 but the awesome remix from his 2nd album. Was listening to that games soundtrack. So many gems.
I remember hearing this for the first time in The Matrix movie.
He had slipknot promoting Iowa.
@@oldschooldude8370 That's cool
When you have the energy of Angus Young but the vocal delivery of post-2015 Vince Neil.
😂😂😂
Yeah but the difference is the vocalist of an 80’s hair band is supposed to be able to sing! Rob zombie doesn’t have to be an amazing singer! That’s not what he’s known for!
Dude he leaves himself so little room to breath with his lyrics… but still performs the HELL out of his songs… he is almost rapping, but in a super gritty chest voice belt… that is not easy, at all. Gotta give him props
Rob Zombie had a very unique sound and the Hellbilly Deluxe album was a masterpiece, Living dead girl, Demonoid phenomenon, Meet the Creeper, Superbeast and Dragula are all sensational songs ⚡️
Sherri is Ultra Hot in Superbeast😮😂❤❤❤
Meet the Creeper is on Sinister Urge, but yes Hellbilly Deluxe is so good he's never been able to top it since
I still remember that time I got hit by a drunk driver while listening to Demonoid Phenomenon
Yep
Yes this record defined my childhood, audible nostalgia!
All these years later, this song is still played in strip clubs across America.
I’m pretty sure I’ve heard it in a strip club before…it REALLY sets an atmosphere.
Rob is out of breath from rocking so hard he is a legendary performer!
many years later, this song is still FIRE !!!
Too bad he can’t sing his own song in the right key.
@@PorkMarshmallow and he still gets more women than you or anybody in your family tree !
@@MehrdadParthian True. But I can sing better and on key. :)
You ain’t lying 🔥 🤘🤘🤘
Fellow Iranian with great music taste? :)
I remember when Dragula was seemingly in every video game for a stretch.
Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal 4, first Stage.
Was a wonderful time
meet the creeper twisted metal
I'm so late to this party but it was Sled Storm on PS1 for me
Great performance from Rob and the band. You'd never see this type of music on late night tv now. Those were the days.
The master of understatement 😜 I've been laughing about that introduction since 1998 🔥🔥🔥
That’s off the Christmas album.
If you ever feel embarrassed to do karaoke, just remember this was the best Rob Zombie could do on Letterman.
Nah, if this is really truly considered bad, I don’t even wanna know what my karaoke attempt would be, lololzz.
Hahaha Rob Zombie held on to Letterman's handshake LOL
As usual, he never fails to disappoint playing live 😏
Can't agree. It was fire.
he writes great melodies but is not interested in playing them live
@@gc8972b he wrote the lyrics, but, I doubt if he wrote the melodies. I could be wrong, not gonna fact check before commenting. The big question is, do you know the difference without fact checking?
@@retroidvania skipping words and unfinished stuttering sentence's.. super immersive ya your right..
@@benttwisted210 ?? what melody? even on the album it's not much more than old mcdonald had a farm
I had a college radio show in the 90's and would record stuff like this on VHS and later drop to MiniDisc so I could play it on the air of our little middle-of-nowhere station. I remember coming out of this one saying "Rob needs some breathing exercises."
Well, he has always been like that LOL, even in a performance like on late show, he’ll be like that 😂
Badass vocals, no lipsync, just how I like it. You can hear his exhaustion.
One of the greatest to ever do it, Rob Zombie. I met him in 2011 after his gig in Manchester. I flew over from Dublin just to be there, gentleman.
I searched everywhere for that christmas album and never found it :(
Zombie, Blasko, Riggs & Tempesta. What a lineup
Rob is auditioning for the Dune remake.
God I love this man! I just saw him in August and he still puts on 1 hell of a show!
Hell yeah! I saw him in August too. Hottest day of the damn year and he's still out there going absolutely crazy on stage. Was a great gig. Even Mudvayne showed up
Rob never did think of doing something to improve his breathing techniques.
I grew to enjoy this band and music genre after hearing it blasting from my son's bedroom for years. Took a little getting used to at first...😳🤘
man i saw him live recently, guess this song always hurt to sing for him. thought it was cause he was older but he sounds exactly the same now
yep he was 33 when this was performed/aired. He is pretty much doing the same at 57.
He was always a pretty terrible singer overall.
@@VuotoPneumaNN he always seemed more of an entertainer than singer
This isn’t an easy tune to sing, u need a lot of breath to maintain the vocal distortion he’s doing, depending on his technique he could be using even more air for the higher notes, and he’s jumping around stage. His choices are basically a) workout a ton and have amazing cardio b) stop jumping around c) jump around and make ur performance just as much about physical presence as it is singing. This is where the movie director chops come into play.
@@brendanmetz2306 yeah he's just out of breath from dancing not cause hes a bad singer and it sounded good anyway just had to cut some notes short
They played this last night...last song of the night......that was pretty f ing amazing.25 years and still hits hard as ever
"The master of understatement... Rob Zombie"
It's September 2023 .Dragula still rocks
It’s on one of my Halloween compilation cds!!!
I've seen him so many times in concert. Love him!
My knees hurt watching this but my ears are smiling!
I remember having to get to work EARLY in the morning but staying up to see this!! It was worth it!! That was an amazing album.....if I ever had whiplash it was because of this!!!
Saw him 2 months ago on Chicago! The man kicks ass!!
😂 When does Rob not tire himself out before he even starts 😂
showed this to my grandparents last night, let's just say they weren't a fan, but i was. rob zombie 4ever🖤💚🖤🤘
I saw him in concert before!! It was an awesome show!! 🎸🎤
Sounding a bit out of breath Rob haha👍👍 Love ya work!!
The struggle lol
"That's off their Christmas album!" lol
Who remembers this being their rage mode on Twisted metal with sweet tooth
I do! Dude! I remember playing that game when I was like 8 and loving this track but never knowing the name until one day later in life I came across Rob Zombie and heard this track again. It was the best day of my life.
I used to record letterman music guests on VHS in highschool because it was always AWESOMEMEEEE
Over 20 years ago Rob Zombie had these pyrotechnics going off on stage in Somerset Wisconsin and these giant green balls of fire were launching into the air.. It was awesome and I was up on this hill and the pit was so rowdy that the whole ground started to shake as if there were an earthquake.
What a masterpiece, the song through which I met Zombie.
"That's off their Christmas album ladies and gentlemen" 🤣👌 great time, grest song, i really felt the twisted metal vibes 👏
Rob Zombie's suit exhibits excellent water discipline.
Well he's conquering a snake or eel or something I don't remember
As a senior citizen in my 70’s I still LOVE me some Zombie!
Dragula with a G.
Wow. I'm impressed he sang 70% of the song. Lol
You’re being too generous lol
Rob Zombie, definition of Cool 😎
Simply the Best
This music is sooo much fun .... Letterman is the GOAT
Man this takes me back
This makes my heart happy❤ Saw him when he was White Zombie & Rib Zombie!! Superb shows🤘🤘
honestly looking up "dragula live" I did not expect to see it on letterman. i've seen some other groups i like on letterman its cool how varied the artists he had was. I feel like him and conan had some of the most unique
I have seen this man twice now and he still is amazing
Their are three types of live performances. The type where the singer sounds just like the music video and doesn’t need and autotunning or sound studio to be good. The one that sounds a little off but is still a good singer. The last being is that the can’t sing at all and need auto tune and all the other bells and whistles. You guess what category this fits in.
I remember being pregnant with my first child in 98 and when she was born to awesome music and this song of course I think she knew what she was listening to as a baby
"Deep breath baby....Deep breath baby..... Deep breath baby."
I like it. Cause you know it ain't lipsynced like most performances on TV.
Rob Zombie rocks! Would be awesome if you also upload the American Witch performance 🔥
This is way back but WOW!! I'm rawkin right along and WOW Rob did KILLAA!!!!!
That's on their Christmas album. Lettermen is hilarious!
Thank God these talk shows have had so many great musicians on from bands to solo artists. My favorite though is hard rock and heavy metal, just like here with Rob. He's always worked with great band members too. They were great here. Thank you Mr. Letterman.
Thank God? You are mistaken.
My son and I would play the video games to this one!!! Brings back great memories!!! Great stress relief reliever. ☠️
Only real OG's remember this song form Sled Storm.
amazing
This guitar player lives in my hometown. I see him at Lowe's all the time. 😂 Super nice guy.
He was running out of breath towards the end lol he kept it cool tho haha 😁
This never gets old! Real live gut punching, rip your throat out music!
Security guard that I work with used to work for a nearby concert venue. He said Rob was one of the nicest guys he ever met
