    What shocks, intrigues and excites me about Ultraviolette is that the F77 is the BEGINNING of their journey(and also the Indian consumer's intro to a proper electric motorcycle). I can't wait to see what they and their future competition bring in the future.

    F77 is actually what Maruti 1000 was Back in days for people who were looking for having a big bad ass car!!! I will wait for more four to five years before buying EV motorbike, I am waiting for EV Swift!!!

      good to wait but i got a ev car already and it has spoiled me. today i rode my bike and i didnt liked it at all. i am a bullet guy but the EV smoothness and torque has won me over. i dont know where swift is in EV but they seem to be a decade behind the Mahindra and tata.

    I'd love to see Ultraviolet come up with an actual touring style electric motorcycle. After riding my 390 adv x I can't go back to a sporty stance for touring. I am sure they're already cooking something after seeing the HimE(layan)

    How did you cover Keylong to Leh part of the journey? That's roughly 330-350 km distance remote region, where did you charge?

    There could be a simple app that takes the initial and final charging values along with the battery capacity and location to calculate the cost of units used. Hotels, restaurants and dhabas can just place a plug point outside and generate additional income out of lending them for charging. They can call themselves EV friendly!

    Increase charging speed. Give better/bigger tuch display and increase comfort.

    For touring 😂 ultraviolet first need to set up the charging infrastructure across India for consumer !! Wat they did was preplanned trip with backup !!

    • @amodh
      @amodh 11 месяцев назад +6

      They mentioned the whole point of their charging system is that you can charge it on a regular 3 pin 12A socket. So you can charge it at any store, restaurant or the hotel you're staying at. I don't believe you watched the entire video before commenting.

    • @pankajkusanale84
      @pankajkusanale84 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@amodh just calculate dude , the full charging time is 5hours and the max distance you xan cover in one full charge is 307km and again one has to wait for 5hours to fully charge to move on !! Your travel time is increasing and yet you are covering less distance ! It is of good for city riding but not for Long distance touring with minimum a Hassel !!

    • @amodh
      @amodh 11 месяцев назад +5

      @@pankajkusanale84 The full charging time with a boost charger and a 15A socket is 4 hours as claimed by the company. Every hour of charging gives you 75km range. IF you watched the video, you would already know that the rider (Baala Manikandan) mentioned how the waiting time was convenient for him to rest. If you plan your journey according to the time, distance and charging schedule, you can surely tour on this motorcycle. Again, IF you watched the video you'd already know that the rider finished this journey in 22 days. Normally you'd be able to finish it way quicker with a petrol motorcycle. But that isn't the point. The fast charging technology is developing every day and we'd definitely reach to the level where we can charge a battery as quick as we can fill a 15 litre petrol tank if not quicker.

    • @pankajkusanale84
      @pankajkusanale84 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@amodh dude one cannot toure on this one hastle free !! Not 5hours for charging but only 4 hours ? Do you make even sense ! I do touring and have closed more than 2laks km on my bike touring and I know how situations might change according to terrains ! You are tressing about how good is this for touring but it is not with 4hour charging method still !! One can be dying of water or any emergency and I can quickly top up petrol and run rather wait for the bike to charge for 4hours just to save some running cost over my life !! Get a battery swap technology which you promised earlier during prototype phase and have an infrastructure built across India then it will make sense to tour on this EV !!

    • @amodh
      @amodh 11 месяцев назад +4

      @@pankajkusanale84 I can't stress this enough, please watch the entire video before commenting. This video is not about covering maximum distance as fast as possible. You got this all wrong, my friend. You have to be mindful of the time of charging and range while riding electric vehicles - motorcycles OR cars. If you are not ready to take that risk, please DO NOT buy an electric vehicle. As simple as that.
      Battery swap technology has whole another set of problems such as battery health, third party companies making batteries which might damage the machine etc. This technology is only usable in the city. If you want to go long distance, fast charging is the solution. You think Elon Musk didn't think about having swappable batteries in his cars?
      I am not trying to be disrespectful towards you here. This is a very new technology and it is going to take time to get used to. And like I said, this technology is going to get better and better as time passes.

      With the advent of solid state (solid electrolytes) batteries, it is claimed that they'd give a range of 2 - 3 times that of Li-ion batteries, and they won't even get swollen or be susceptiple to overcharging and over-heating and will never catch fire, they'll charge to 100% in 10 to 15 mins, it's stated to be the holy grail of batteries.
