rocket trophy is a newish (1999) trophy so no old guy could have won it.
When it was first introduced the rocket gave one to gretzky but it wasn't around when he was setting the records

It wasn't around before then. There was no award for most goals in a season prior to the 98-99 season. The art Ross was around since 1947 for most points.

@@darthcanadian I saw an interview with gretzky he told the story about Richard giving him the trophy. I couldn't believe the nhl didn't give an award for most goals before then.

At very least Calderon would be an acceptable wrong answer, he was who came to mind for me.
Honestly I wouldn't have thought that :P I'm not a huge basketball fan, I'm a bandwagoner who truly fell in love with the game and became familiar during the Raptors 2019 run! Since then though I'm familiar with the league, prospects, some history though.
Only reason I guessed Lowry is because he was there for a decade!
