  • We're getting serious about organization this week with a Bison Gear Molle System install. We added side Molle panels, a gear shelf, a cargo divider, and a full-sized drop-down table to the back of our GX 460. Everybody loves it, except Blazer... because it looks like a dog jail.

Great video. I made the rookie mistake of adding the shelf too low and had clearance issues when I tried to close the tailgate on my 2011 GX. I viewed this video a few times and used it to do my project. Only today did I realize that you already have your third row seats removed. Mine are still in place, so the clearance tolerance is higher than optimal. Word to the wise, if you leave third row in, your table will be higher up on the rear panel and (in my case) you will have to do some after market mods to the topmost screw hole because the door trim bevels inward just at the location of the top-most hole position on the Bison. 🌲

Removing panels that you have never removed before is absolutely pucker-inducing. Also, good call on the locktite. I can't deal with the slightest rattle either. (plus obviously you don't want it coming apart and impaling passengers, but this a secondary concern to the noise...)

You've mentioned something about the drawers. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to open the right drawer when cooking on the table. I have drawer based fridge on the right and that's why I went with 2/3 table instead of full length. If you're going to keep your recovery gear/tools on the right then you will be fine. However, if you're going to use drawers to maximize storage for food goodies and cooking hardware then you will regret going with full length table.

Good point! We have all the campsite set-up stuff, recovery gear, and tools in that one for exactly that reason. The left side is kitchen gear, and dry food generally rides in the 40% seat position to the fore of the fridge (I took mine out for extra room). My bigger concern is how my tilting fridge slide will work with it. It's still on it's way from Poland but we should find out soon : )

Rattled at first, then I switched out all the nuts to nylons and added thread-lock to where it attached to the truck. No rattles since.

Ha! I wish I was that fast. Just a coincidence that it's raining today. Guessing that's why you're wondering?

Nope. But I replaced provided nuts with nylocks and used lock tight where I could not (lower side panel screws)
