Don’t care what the difficulty is, the fact that the AI didn’t miss a shot is still a bit concerning. Hopefully that evens out in future patches.
Havent played this for awhile but cmon. Can we have actual difference between top 8 side and bottom 8. Hawks and gold coast arent 87 rating.... along with the grand finalist of last year
I think the players who didn’t play last year all got a 54 overall which is weird
Yeah I know right. Even the Wii game did this with I think Collingwood rated 90 overall and Essendon rated 67 overall

just played my first game with the new patch. defiently see and feel the difference in game play. Handballs are very smooth and more accurate than before. Can actually use it near ball ups, stoppages and crowded areas to get out. Like that the forwards actually lead now plus can find players in space. No longer having to jjst bomb the ball in and hope for the best. Even used spoils and didnt get burt by my opponent. Tackling still a slight problem and opponent kicking straight goals and no behinds even when i have pressure on them. Overall game is better and wish this was what was released at vame lauch.

Bench still empty lol, forwards lead up and run straight past me way too often.
How do I time the set shot I don’t know where to put it
When I’m playing on my Xbox one when I’m on the run and I’m kicking for goal it always goes out on the full can anyone tell me how to fix this
So automatic benches work now? Mine have not worked at all since release 😂
I can’t wait for pro team and all these other updates they are going to do more consistent updates I am predicting they will add lineups in online where you can change it or they will add automatic interchanges

If anyone plays on pc whats the experience like compared to a ps4. Thinking of purchasing it again but want to know if it runs better, my pc is good btw.
whats goin on with ball ups and throw ins? the ball is so static in the air. no rotation or anything. no issue with them going in a straigh path (for gameplay purpose) but give the ball some animation in the air
try to use a downloaded logo on a custom team guernsey the menu immediately exits and gives me a fake logo due to the update
Every time I go as Collingwood in management mode it has the gold logo one game ands it gone the games after

I just played a game and constantly get done holding the ball from a mark while trying to kick quickly and don’t know if it’s the timing but marking seems harder and running and kicking always tackles me even tho I let go of the kicking button way before they are even near me .

How is rozee 93 and zak butters 91 they must be port supportes if Daicos or Petracca isn't higher along with oliver

After seeing your video I quickly hopped on the game to see, it is great but there is a bit of a downgrade. The tackles, when I get the mark I used to quickly kick it again so that it wouldn’t waste take going back, now I can’t do that anymore because then they tackle you and then it’s incorrect disposal.( now that I think about it, wouldnt it be 50?)
You have to move back. They tackle you if you run into them. This was just fixed, you used to be able to run right through them.

you should watch a game if you can find one on FS1 or 2, it is very fun.
Play AFL99 on a PSX emulator first, it’s still the best imo. Evo2 is better than this as well for me.

The patch is great. Don't expect miracles and you might be pleasantly surprised.
I find it very disappointing that there are quite limited editing options. Would be amazing if players from yesteryear could be added to the game - but try creating KB or Bruce Doull - the hair and player model options are wayyyyyy too limited.
No training mode or free roam mode, no mini games no player career mode, no scenario mode, games still missing a lot
Career mode should be out next month
So the management mode still has no player progression, realistic draftees or any other basic features of a management mode?

In settings you set hardest and it gives you hard please fix too easy on hard. Otherwise great work Big Ant awesome game.

I might be a casual or something but since when was Rozee the second best player in the league?
The game is still disgustingly bad considering the price point and it’s had a year of updates. Every update they fix issues and create brand new ones. The only people defending it are anyone that have any chance to benefit from the game. The best thing about the game is the ball movement by foot feels really fluid although that is really dependant on the cpu on your team moving well which is pretty rare. The whole cpu both on your team and the opposition is almost the worst part of the game. Midfielders don’t move down the ground when cpu opponent has the ball which is an issue from day one. Tackling has continued to be broken but every update for different reasons. Tackling is entirely different for the cpu and the controlled team. Cpu tackles perfectly everytime whilst half of the time my tackles are massively delayed so they can get their perfect everytime kick off. The umpiring (whilst feeling realistic with how bad real umpires are) is idiotic in this game, an instant tackle while trying to kick is holding the ball yet you can have the same situation tackling the cpu 3 times in a row in 5 seconds which results in nothing. Hand balling is far far better than from release but with the cpu tackling being ridiculously op it often won’t work. Hardest difficulty only makes the cpu amazing at marking, hitouts and impossible to miss goals, if you win the ball back and chip the ball around it is ridiculously easy. The cpu tends to play the game with different abilities, even a shot at goal which for the user takes a second for it to build up and be accurate, the cpu just instantly gets an accurate kick. There is so much wrong with this game which is made worse by the fact it’s been a year of patches and it’s still in this terrible state. Let alone the basic tactics, limited career mode which is the most basic management mode, 2007 had far far far more you could do. Another new issues they’ve created somehow ion management mode, the Brownlow is dominated by every single Rick for some reason. Barnett from west coast won a Brownlow lol. All of the generated drafted players have no cap to the generations, just completely random so 95% of rucks are 180cm tall. Anyone who loves footy should be offended by this game. It’s genuinely a joke and I’m thinking anyone apart of the development team haven’t seen another sports game before and nor have they ever seen a game of footy.

unfortunately given where the game started, good isn't good enough hahaha, glad you can still find a way to make it fun for yourself and make content
The problem with this game are the controls, way too complicated, all the button configurations you need to remember in a split second doesn’t make it fun. Also, I loved the free aim in Evo2 so I could kick to space and watch them lead to the ball.
The 2023 teams are gone. Adelaide and St Kilda are rated lower than west coast, Max King rated 80, Oscar Allan rated 84. The gameplay is good but they’ve fricked everything else
The jumpers in this update and the crowd noices are good but the rest of this update has broken this game for me literally just had my first game with this update and didn’t even make it to quarter time till I raged and said fuck this then pulled the disk out of the console then proceeded to snap disk into pieces, am planning on boycotting future afl games till it isn’t big ant studios anymore which is probably never 😡🤬
Good mate hopedully they get their ass going on Rugby 24 now. You guys got screwed on AFL and rugby fans are a couple games behind in the queue. I reckon Tiebreak is the next game to get fixed after its disappointing release.
The gameplay is so hard
My son is 6 and loves the game and plays on easiest difficulty, but since the patch its actually heaps harder on easiest and the poor kid is upset he can't enjoy the game anymore

I like the update but the difficulty is still way off
Game STILL lacks attention to detail. For example, I was playing an afternoon game at the Gabba I noticed the following.
- Brisbane cheer squad at the wrong end of ground
- Sun is setting in the opposite direction.
- Broadcast side of the ground has been flipped.
I know it’s similar at Gold Coast stadium as well.
Look the bar is pretty low. When I say it's 'good' I mean the basic game is good playing a single match, it's the best state the game has been in. As you've mentioned, there's still so many little details that aren't nailed in other areas, they aren't deal breakers, but on the list of things, they'd be nice to have. Not to mention the career mode, which lacks so much substance and I haven't tried the online experience, but from what I've seen can still use some work.

No it's shit they fucked it all up even on super easy mode I get outmarked every time get done for incorrect disposal all the time when it's not but when I do it to them nothing happens I line up perfectly for a run in goal and it puts it into out of boundaries on full

I’m sorry but this game is awful. Even on the easiest difficulty I can’t win. I feel like the only way you win games is by modding. Like it’s impossible. I will be trading this game in for something else
