I saw Stanley Clark in a concert at the Ronnie Scott's in London. He is a one man band! I had listened to both Marcus Miller and Victor Wooteen both excellent award winning musicians. Now, when these three are together playing, it is simply fantastic! Even a dog will dance to this music!!! The best living jazz bassists on scene playing together. It is pure delight for the soul!

How do you get three basses into a mix that totally kills it? You get the three best living bassists in the world on one stage at one time. I have truly died and gone to heaven.
It is great music. I saw Stanley in Milwaukee 1986 summerfest..Jazz oasis. Every show he would feature different players...they killed it. Was so awesome.
@@masonsimpson4296 Stanley is sort of an outlier if I said that correctly. I need to research him more. Not a fake but not a hands down genius like Jaco or perhaps even Marcus. But.... Something else. Interesting.

I've always liked Marcus Miller's playing, and always will...but my man Victor...Dayum!...that's some funky playin' right there starting @5:55-6:29...his timing is perfect!

I'm sorry I missed the SMV tour. I've never seen Wooten live, and I'm blown away by his mastery of so many distinct styles. You can hear the unmistakable influences of his stage mates, plus Larry Graham, Louis Johnson, Jaco Pastorius and others in his playing.
blame it on Justin Beiber when everything in music fails blame it on poor Justin you should see the matter of dislikes on I video alone its almost blasphemy. though Justin can sing & play guitar, drums not as great as legends but the boy can hold harmony
Well tbh , I hate this kind of performance. I just don't find it pleasant , i'd rather see them separately... Sure they are legendary but i guess I just don't like the mix... I love strawberry milkshake , oyster and hamburgers, but an oyster-strawberry-hamburger milkshake doesn't sound that yummy...
I L♥️VE Victor Wooten !!!!! I saw him at an afternoon performance that he was playing, with his original gig with Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, in '94 @ the Toronto JAZZ Festival . I got chatting with him after about the bass and how I like Bass focused bands, with a hard, crunchy sound, " you know, plucking & slapping the bass..." He was such a kind, generous man ! [ I was pretty young and clueless and provincial ]. I had so much fun talking to him, I wanted him to write something for me, the only thing I had on me was a book I was reading called " Storming Heaven." Turns out, I was pretty embarrassed when I found out that he's the Guy for that style of Bass. This was a real groaner for me

Great music. I can't sit still while I listen. My head bops or my toes tap--something's always moving to the music.
I was listening and watching, two senses involved, but it was still difficult to comprehend how eloquently skillful these guys are. Incredible
Masters of their art. Thank you for this! Please never stop. Love, love, love you all. You bring such joy!!
