I agree partially with your statement. Yes he was their father he took care of them and raised them. But, he wasn't their biological father. By him lying to them at an early age and as a result having them say they are black in rolling stone magazine is pretty much setting them up for judgement. They are already highly scrutinized just because MJ is their dad but, when they are believing a lie it's just making it worse. Because, as much as people hate it race is our reality and we still talk about it, not that it should be a factor but we cant be fooled by lies when clearly we know.
I love that Joseline voices her opinion even when it is contrary to the other ladies, plus she's hilarious. I think she would make a great fit as a permanent host should they ever get one.

Joseline is literally the only one who is being 1000% percent real. None of these women could tell me that if they say Paris (assuming she was not a famous person), they would think she was half black. And they definitely would give her a side eye if she told them she was half black and/or identified as black. Let's be real, Michael was her father in all areas regarding the physical, emotional, mental, and financial responsibility a dad has to a child but he was most definitely not her biological dad.

In America. maybe idk, where i live in the south I've been all around the south and haven't seen any.....not in the heart or center of the country were known as the "Melting pot" we have International Festivals and celebrate cultures most people in the middle (which is Oklahoma and the states that connect) are mixed so while the rest of the country are acting a fool we're appreciating all our heritages and not just what based on the color of our skin, most African Americans don't even know what country they hail from. we have celebrations of all that to include Natives and Islanders and Asians and European countries, the rest of the country seems shameful..... good luck to y'all, we wave 100's of flags in Unity we share our cultures and traditional foods, dances and music.

Tamera CANNOT compare her son to Paris Jackson. Her son is more white (75%) than black (25%). But with that being said, there are plenty of mixed (half white/half black) people that favor white characteristics. Good example is Halsey. Her father is a black but she looks completely white. And vice versa. There are people who are mixed but favor black characteristics. And how about those twins in the news? One twin looked black while the other looked white... So there is a possibility Paris could be MJ's biological daughter.
Whether she is or isn't black, MJ is STILL and will always be her father so people need to be sensitive to that. saying that he's not her father is insensitive and hurtful to her and any POSSIBLY adopted kid. If her father wanted her to learn/remember her roots, I think she has the right too. Don't invalidate her experience with her father and how she identifies. This is a special situation.

Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson's eyes are color BLUE. And Paris also looks like her cousin Jahmia Sutherland. MJ's son Prince also has the genetic disease Vitiligo like MJ. Tamera is the only one who's trying to insist that her son is black. I support Paris as well, and her race has nothing to do with how beautiful she is, she is beautiful, but come on. I'm sorry. Michael can be her father because he raised her and he will FOREVER be her father but when his skin and nose changed, his genetics did not. He was FULL black. Jackson 5 black. Not biracial like Tamera for his biological baby to be coming out whiter than Aden. But that's my opinion. Lyns Allure Room this is just a theory and by no means am i trying to state this as a fact or anything but I always thought that Michael had genetically modified his children when they were still fetuses. if you have the money (which he did) he could have altered whether or not she or her siblings had melanin in their skin or any black features for that matter. people do it all the time (usually more for generational diseases) but you can also do it for eye color/ hair or whatever else. not exactly an expert on the science and everything but it's aparently possible. all im saying it she could very well be his daughter biologically.

Joseline is right. This is the problem with the one drop rule. I love Michael and I'm sure Paris is a nice kid, but she is not a black girl. Blackness isn't something just anyone can identify with - it is a phenotype, and it is something that the rest of the world will judge you by. She will never face racism like black people do. She can believe that she is black, but I don't have to see her as that. Biracial is also not black to me, Tamera, so your son is DEFINITELY not black. Biracial is biracial, not black OR white, and your husband is white so your blond-haired, blue eyed children look white.
THIS. Race goes so much farther than genetics because human beings have made it that way, unfortunately. It's physical appearance, social status, how you're viewed in society, etc. it's an experience. So it can be kind of offensive for someone (a white person usually) who looks nothing like a black person to claim that they're black when people who have darker skin or conventionally black features, get treated or viewed differently, usually in a negative way. I sometimes feel bad for kids/people who come from mixed families, especially when they come out looking nothing like both or one of their parents, because your family/genes are saying one thing, while society says another.

You lost me at the biracial part. If you look "melanated," the world will judge you/see you as black or as a person of color. Once they learn you have a black parent, they will as well. Aden may get away with it, but Tamera and Ariah won't. It's the reason why people have assumed Tamera was the nanny when she alone is out with her and Adam's son, a situation she she has mentioned more than once.

in response to tamera who said "why does it matter?" when joseline called paris white. it matters because regardless of what she identifies as, anyone can she that LOOKS white and therefore the world at large will treat her as WHITE. she has access to a privilege that others don't. please let us not deny that a major part of the black experience is determined by the darkness of your skin and the shape of your body features. I am 42% native American ,39.56% Africa (south, Nigerian, and Ethiopian), 9%south east Asia (korean) 8% European (russian, English, German), and 2% south America (indigenous Brazilian). All my life i identified myself as a black women, but come to find out I was actually native American. Looking at me you would never guess or believe that. My sister also took it and even though she's my BIOLOGICAL SISTER our dna makeup is different she was more black and Korean( actually split down the middle), but had almost no trace of European and very little of native American unlike me. So all because DNA says your one thing doesn't mean that you Legal or politically have to be it. I still say im black but i add in Native American. Tamera says she tells aiden that he is black TOO.Not fully black she tells him in addition to being white he is black.Also i feel like whether we like it or not, we live in a world where we are judged by our skin. Aiden is not half black. Paris should be. Aiden is 25% black and you can see that 25%. Barely but it's there. Paris looks fully white. It cant get whiter than Paris. MJ isnt her real dad period.
Paris has olive skin. She does not look straight up white. Her granfather Joe has light colored eyes and she is half white. As black folks we know how sensitive it can be when it comes to color. How dare we make this child not feel black enough. Smh....I stand with Paris.

Tamera's point is invalid. She isn't fully black she is BIRACIAL therefore that results in aiden looking more Caucasian. MJ was FULLY black with the nostrils and the afro and skin tone so clearly Paris would have came out with some sort of kink in her hair or at least a tan complexion. No one is knocking the fact that MJ was her dad, but what joseline and many other black people are trying to say is biologically that isn't. This is ignorant. My first cousin is black and has a child with a white woman. You can’t tell the child is biracial. It’s very possible to look one race more than the other. So it’s possible to be biracial but not possible for one to stand out more?
