I always love looking into the interviews that James Arnold Taylor does specifically mentioning FFX in any manner, it’s always heartwarming seeing his passion for FFX and Tidus as a character, the interpretations and his deep understanding he has of Tidus is so sweet. I also love how his enthusiasm for FFX is still going strong
I for one really liked and enjoyed the laughing scene. It is a very genuine and honest scene, because their motivation in doing it is trying to find a way to deal with the pressure.. And they KNOW they are being silly, but they just don't care. It's easy to judge it when you see a clip where you only see the "fake" laughing, but if you see the whole scene in context, and how it plays out, i think you have to be quite dead emotionally to not like it.
omgmrtea i didn't cringe at the laughing scene, really. I thought it was natural and it was supposed to be fake. I really had no idea that so many people were bothered by that scene. I think people are probably just overreacting. They probably didn't focused on that scene.
can't believe there are some people who cringe and say that the laugh scene was bad voice acting. just goes to show how much they have not paid attention to the story. Yuna was trying to teach Tidus how to fake happy, people! That's why it sounds awkward and forced.
Domenick DeFrank That's because back then, games didn't really have a lot of voice acting in them, games like mass effect came later. FFX was one of the first ones were basically all cutscenes were dubbed.
best and worst voice acors in the world tidus was the most anoying ff char ever mainly becaus he was voiced and yet James Arnold Taylor's voice as wooldoorsockbat is awesome

Rose Pawn i couldn't believe it either. It was plain obvious! LOL shame on those people.
CrimsonFox Hound
Right? I mean it is so obvious really, there are really some simple minded people around with not a lot of sensitivity.
Tidus is the first game character who's pronunciation is perfect

That is why Ratchet's voice was familiar. Its Tidus...
Yeah this game was a lot of fun. I prefer watching someone playing it over me doing all the work on this one though. Epic game.
Hedy burress
OH Hello Tidus :D
Does anyone knows the name of the song?
Why does he pronounce Tidus as "Tee-Dus" rather than the proper way, "Tie-Dus" ?
The former IS the proper way lmao.
Mike Hawk
get rekt mate
yes
It is technically pronounced teedus
Because the pronunciation is actually tee-dus.
Obi-wan!
He's not used to a lot of dialogue? Dang, I wonder if he's ever played Mass Effect or Dragon Age xD
+Domenick DeFrank This was made in the early 2000's. No one was playing those games.
+joseph Avila He's still could have played them by now, man.
