@@DukeR3D This can clarify your doubt... The Lenovo Ideapad 310-15IKB has 2 Slots (1 Upgradable) to install memory, already with 4GB (Soldered) standard memory installed. For best 310-15IKB Laptop performance use the maximum amount of 12GB, fill all the slots with the max allowed memory per slot for your Laptop.
That's the thing, 4GB are soldered so you can only have one slot to upgrade by adding 8GB RAM, because the maximum is 12GB.

As I know 2133Mhz is basic frequerancy for SO-DIMM DDR4 RAM, and when you has 2 RAM devices, for example 2133 and 2400Mhz both'll works at frequerency of slower RAM device. Also in laptop of this model there's RAM soldered to mainboard, and if this RAM can works at 2400Mhz you can add 2400Mhz it'll work 2400Mhz, but if soldered RAM supports just 2133Mhz inserted RAM will also work at 2133Mhz.

It should be 32 like Intel says, I've seen the Intel article as well. As far as I've looked, in Task Manager it can show you how much RAM slots your computer has, I believe mine has 2 slots of 4GB currently in. And the biggest amount of RAM you can find most of the time is 16GB.

Maximum is 12GB according to specsheet. And it counts in 4GB ram which is built in. So 8GB stick plus soldered in 4gb = 12GB. Its atill plenty. and mich better than just 8gb especially if you open pota of tabs in chrome.

I actually did this without removing the hdd and disassembling the laptop itself. I did this buy just powering the laptop off and just disconnected the charging cable and just changed the ram successfully......

for example, my motherboard has 4 slots, of which two are being used
so, it should say 'Slots used: 2 of 4'

Seriously? Why did you open the entire case and disconnect internal ribbon connectors when all you wanted to do was show us the ram which already had the cover removed? What was the point to all that?

@@ElFideoHomicida I just checked this on Crucial website, in order to know the specifics of the ram module which could work. 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM, but im not sure with the mhz frecuency. According to this video, this model works originally on 2400 frecuency, so I'm in doubt now...
