I'm 65, former "Blue Collar" now retired. Play guitar from the '70 just for fun. Same sensation about knowing what you are playing and how is helpful a keyboard in the process, thanks to the lessons from you tube a lot of difficolt are now looking more easy than before...new joy playing as never before!
Thanks Giuseppe, it's always a pleasure to read your comments, sir. Thanks for being here.🎸🙋🏻♂️🎵💫🙏🏻
Taking these ideas and doing it with a partial melody from a Standard or any tune you like really helps.
Yes yes yes, Exactly that! Every tune has so much motif Development potential🙏🏻💫🙋🏻♂️🎸
Barry Harris diatonic scale is awesome for moving ideas through scale degrees. It's been a game changer for me.
Anyone on the fence about purchasing the Galactic Modern Guitar Method should be assured that it’s the best , it’s well structured and Daniel is a great teacher. Best course I’ve come across on the net for instilling practical knowledge that you can use straight away. Better than just a bunch of licks you’ll forget soon enough. 👍💯
Exactly, I Absolutely agree! This method has given me a structured way to approach my practice sessions effectively and is the best step-by-step method I've ever encountered!
What module are you currently working on?
@@rantoplay8668 I’m on Voice leading , module 1. I’m taking my time with the course, I’ve been playing a long time , mostly self taught so I’m going back over stuff and getting it right 👍
I’m on day 2, and it’s already made the fret board clearer than it’s been for me in 25 years of “dabbling.”
In this lesson you've presented extremely important musical ideas that work on any instrument and in any style of music. The way you conceive of it and explain it makes it easy to understand, but you are opening a vast world of melodic possibilities that we can spend years exploring. I'm impressed that you fit it into a 9-minute video! Thanks!
Thank You so much Mike!! So happy you feel that way. I am happy you are here. stay in touch, stay inspired :)
Ok boss I will start doing it today onwards 🎸
🙏🏻Best wishes on your journey, enjoy the process

It is totally ridiculous i never approached playing lines like this diatonically... you have just flipped my approach to examining my musical ideas. Thank you Daniel 🛎+👍 right here. Blind spot cleared 😊

I have been playing guitar for my entire life and all this is so overwhelming for me.... All I want is to be able to understand it all and it just feels so far out of my reach... Countless instructors every day spent perusing youtube.... I feel stupid... I see all these young guys playing so well and fluidly here I am at 47 still playing the blues...
Hey there, Don - I read your comment and I just want to say, don't give up!
It's never too late to learn something new or improve your guitar playing.
I understand that it can be overwhelming, and it may feel like you'll never get to where you want to be,
but I promise you that with practice and patience, progress is possible.
I know it can be frustrating to see young guys playing like "guitar gods" on RUclips,
but remember that everyone has their own journey and it's not a competition.
one thing I learned.. Comparing yourself to others only leads to disappointment and discouragement.
Instead, focus on your own progress and how far you've come.
Think back to when you first started playing and all the progress you've made since then.
If you're feeling stuck, I recommend trying to find a teacher or a mentor who can guide you (I teach) and help you understand things that you're struggling with. Also, don't be afraid to experiment and try new things on the guitar -
even if it doesn't sound perfect at first, keep going and you'll get there eventually.
If it helps, for me - reading has been a big one, There are many inspiring books out there that aren't specifically about guitar playing but can help with overcoming resistance and staying committed to your creative pursuits and passions. You never know, one of these books might be just what you need to get motivated and inspired again.
So don't give up, keep playing and practicing, and remember that progress takes time. You got this!

Thanks for tuning in Ricardo :)
2 decades 🙌
Time keeps flowing like a river
Mike Stern likes to incorporate these concepts.
Great lesson!
❤🙏🏼❤🙏🏼
Great lesson, Daniel, as always! What brand / weight of pick are you using? Cheers
I love looking at a 335... but it would be nice to see the face that's talking to me. Please zoom out a little.
100% :) Thanks for being here Rick
Nah, bullsh_t. Look at the fretboard and the fingers. Pulling back makes the frbd smaller.
Oh and thnx DW, for using a straight-on shot. Nothing more annoying than Utoooberz who shoot the headstock frwd into the upper right corner, or from underneath, wherein fingers cover the frets & strings etc.
Are these like arpeggios moving through chord changes but now with more random sequences?
Right?
What is the product you placed on your knee/under your guitar ? I NEED ONE ! Great lesson/concept to explore! Thanks
Guitar cushion
❤❤❤🙏
❤🙏
Great lesson! I’ve got to work on this. I also love your tone in the lesson. What amp are you using here with the 335?
Thanks for tuning in 🙋🏻♂️🎸in this vid, its a practice amp by kustom, nothing fancy..
Dream theater is the gateway drug to jazz!
You nailed it! Hha , or at least "The high information music" Gateway for a portion of guitar players over the last few decades or so...
Facepalm moment for me... of course i could add notes to my power chords 🤭
🤓🙋🏻♂️🎸💫
Daniel! You just made my Sunday! Thanks! I want to contribute $$$ should I go to your Patreon? 👍🏼😎🙏🏼🎼🎶🎵🎸🎵🎶🎼
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Thank You for being here and for your support

"Furd goes to the Furd"
Exactly:-)
Cool lesson. What is that thing you are using between your leg and the guitar?
Thank you Pablo, that is a simple guitar cushion I found on amazon that makes my life a whole lot easier :)
I’m guessing before any of this you should know each note you land or start on instantly. Trying to get there lol
as in the names of the notes on the fretboard?
@@WeissGuitar yes sir , like I would need to know the root of the triad quickly to maneuver from triad to triad . I guess you could just learn the triad position names up and down the neck but I would think knowing each note would be more beneficial in the long run . I’ve been doing an exercise where you start on the F on. The e string to G to A to B then in the a string C , D , E ,F , D string. G , A , B , C ect. 4 notes up the neck then. Back. It’s been helping a bit. I really like your “ back to the root video and others but they are a bit advanced for me at the moment ..
@@drkarate1 It is all very organized on my website weissguitar.com you are invited to check it out so you can have a step by step way of achieving this
Hey im not sure best way to contact you but I’m interested in your course but would like some samples I’m a semi experienced guitarist Ive played enough to have some decent chops and have studied some what but I’m currently learning the stuff Ive not committed to memory so I’m ready to marry them together so if you got the right stuff tabbed out and in a properly stepped program then that’s exactly what I need
Hi Jason, thank you for reaching out. Please certainly , please check out my website - weissguitar.com - There is a 'Take the Tour' button on the home page, as well as a contact button, so you can either click "join now" or reach out to me and we can chat via email. would love to help
@@WeissGuitar thanks for replying I did find the deal on lessons great job you play very well I like your delivery. Here’s my deal that was a step to far if I had my fretboard memorized it probably would right around what I’m looking for so I am seasoned but this is one of my weaknesses I’m capable of playing alot of the phrases I just have to have the tab because I don’t have fretboard memorized which I’m trying to get my triads cemented im even playing piano and this is helping this time I’ve done some theory classes before but stopped because I didn’t have time for keyboard 🎹 anyway
So where does your course start at what different things do you expect someone to know to start this part of your lesson if that makes sense
Hi l, Jason, thanks for reaching out, sure looking forward to having you onboard- you can join/ or and send me a message on weissguitar.com contact forms, ill be happy to chat (ps on the home page click the "take the tour button)
Just call it sequences.
no clue what you're talking about
You rule...thx
Thanks Bob :)
