I mean, any animal would react like that if it felt threatened, witch in this case the lizard did. He’s referring to just generally speaking, they normally won’t bite unless you’re coyote and try to catch them lol

The collared lizard is absolutely amazing and gave me goosebumps. Every time I watch an episode coyote has so much enthusiasm and passion. I share this with my autistic nephew and he loves every minute.

I've had many wonderful experiences with Eastern Collared Lizards in Oklahoma, but until watching this video I had no idea that they lived way down in the far southwest where the Saguaros live. That's where I'm headed next, so now I know to keep an eye out for ECLs while I'm out for sidewinders and speckled rattlers. Thanks, Coyote, for showing me something new about Collared Lizards!
I ABSOLUTELY respect the fact that coyote portrays any animal he encounters in a very fair and enthusiastic light, not just intentionally making random species appear more dangerous than they are just for clickbait and views, He instead uses the moment to educate the public about some of the most hidden gems these landscapes have to offer

I love this channel for so many reasons, one of them being that, not only is the title of each video fulfilled and realized, but it normally seems to be fulfilled AND THEN SOME, like with that extra snake! I think that's awesome that he adds animals he encounters on the way to find the "main event" that is expected, given by the title! Also can't get enough of his pure interest in and enthusiasm for wildlife!

My local zoo just got a collection of 3 male collared lizards. They are amazing little critters. Of all the animals in the whole zoo, the collared lizards really seem like the most alert, like they're really watching you back through the glass. Very energetic too, always scurrying around and trying to jump up the walls.

Captive Collared Lizards are so freaking cute. My boyfriend has captured two that were hanging around in his backyard and they're so expressive and funny. Neither of ours are very bright though... they both like crickets but will sit there and stare at you even though you put one RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACES...
