❤The interwoven patterns of Celtic knots symbolise love and unity. The intertwining lines with no end point imply love that is internal and uninterrupted.❤

Knot patterns first appeared in the third and fourth centuries AD and can be seen in Roman floor mosaics of that time. The Celtic knot represents love, unity and the circle of life.

This is genius! Trimming edges through stone-hard decorative stitches always left my fingers sore. This design does not have this drawback! Thank you very much! 🤩

Simple as it may appear, the Celtic knot meaning is for an unbreakable bond, something they say was created to remember loved ones while they were far away. 🥰

I like how it can all fit together like a puzzle to make something bigger than my hoop allows. especially fitting for a Celtic design.

One of my friends that I used to at some of the festivals spoke gaelic and alot of her clothes had celtic \ gaelic knots on them along with her jewelery, don't remember a lot of the history of the knot. What i can remember is it goes back around the third and forth centuries AD and has been found in many different religions on floor tiles, in paintings, on crosses of many buildings and churches, in the 1970's and 80's was popular for many people to have tattoo's and has many meanings throughout history.

There are more than eight (8) basic Celtic knots and each knot represents a different meaning, example Solomon's knot means eternal and immortality. While the design of two entwined figures makes the knot a symbol of love. the Celtic Heart or Love knot was often exchanged at a hand fasting much like we do rings at a modern wedding.

It features three spirals connected by a single, continuous line. A more Pagan interpretation is that the three spirals represent water, fire, and earth.
