Leonard would have loved this
I heard this song in 1969. I met the writer and singer. He bought a painting from me, of himself. I was swallowed up, and down, by this man's music. Very seriously swallowed, for some years. I want to thank Eivor for lifting this song up and out of its solemnity and into its purity. May God bless you both. 🌹 ❤️

This is the most beautiful poem I've ever heard. Leonard Cohen write poems that have music. Its too simple to call them songs in my perspective. I never thought someone could perform one of his pieces better than he could but then Eivor did it.

Brilliant.
With a lot of "singers", I don't wanna listen to their live versions bc they don't sound good without vocal modifications and autotune.... But Eivør is one of the few singers who sound even better live than on recordings. She's amazing.
