This girl deserves a public apology from the whole cast except Jenni apparantly and the whole production! They all literally ruined her life. I am glad she is fine now but she literally had to move out of the country because the bullying was so bad. I know an apology won't mean shit to her now and it won't be sincere but she still deserves it.

Am I the only one who literally always thought there was more to the story?? Idk it just never made sense to me. Number 1 if Pauly really didn’t like her or was even slightly uncomfortable with her being around then how was she allowed in the house & with them on the boardwalk? There’s security around them at all times. & just little things made no sense. Why would she care this much & be kinda invested in the relationship if y’all only talked once? Yeah I know there really are people who get attached & stalk people but in my opinion it always seemed like there was more going on than they aired. “ you know how I felt about you”… that doesn’t sound like someone who barely talked to her

i feel terrible because when I watched the show i thought daniel was a total weirdo because of how they made her look but after watching this interview i feel for her and I wish her the absolute best in life ❤️ this just goes to show not to believe everything you see ! there is always two sides !

I remember Danielle telling her side of the story when this all happened years ago. I remember her saying she went to RI to visit him at his DJ show. It made me not really like Paula D, the way he flipped the script. He DEFINITELY got the BEST edit on the show, out of anyone,let alone her. But to do Danielle so dirty on TV was messed up on his part. He was mighty immature for almost 30, my god.
She was too smart, feisty, and all around good enough for Pauly D. anyway. Danielle definitely dodged an STD ridden, crusty gelled hair bullet. Glad she’s happy with her husband and twins. 😊

If they showed that Mike was with her friend, it wouldn’t have been easy to make her look like a stalker
i kinda went thru the same thing.. well not the extent she did, (for the whole world to watch) but it’s crazy how men will literally make you feel like they care for you, love/like you so much, and do alll these things for you but make you look like you’re crazy in front of other people . funny enough, the man who did this to me was also a cancer 😅

Just an observation and suggestion as a viewer, saying “that’s insane” and “that’s crazy” was a bit repetitive.

Again Snooki is a MEAN GIRL
Snooki is definitely a mean girl her and jenni tag team Angelina and then when snooki is with Deena she changes her attitude and starts playing nice. That's why she comes off as fake and jenni is a bad influence on her. You should be able to be yourself with your friends and if you can't maybe they're not real friends. I think the only friend snooki has that's actually a good person is Deena. And sammi.

The fact one of them had a "stalker" like every season really made me question this back in the day. I'm not even a little surprised pauly was trying to get her upstairs for hours. Dude had nothing else on his mind back then. The entire set up for the house was toxic as shit.

Id like to know what yall expected from a tv show.
I thought it was pretty obvious Pauly was lying or joking about her being a stalker. I got the vibe she was a nice girl. Pauly is obsessed with himself almost certain he's a sociopath.
Well done Ashley, first time I’ve watched your channel and you have great interview skills! I think most of us (the logical ones), knew that there was more to the story with Danielle, and Pauly is a happy, easy going guy, so he gets a good edit. Those who think of going on reality TV, what happened to Danielle and what “character” she was given (being so different to her own), is not uncommon. Don’t sign those contracts & NDAs unless you’re old and wise enough, completely sober in all ways, and understand, or had a lawyer review it first. It’s a shame she went back, because her broken English could have made the first one void, being able to sue as she talks about, plus young and under the influence.
This is the entertainment industry, I’ve been in it from the other side, and I want to write these longer comments if it even helps one person. It’s such a double edged sword. You can take a chance and get an edit like Pauly and be set for life, or get a bad one, enough to make you leave a COUNTRY. As a character, I love “Pauly D”, as a person, I mean, he likely couldn’t speak to her either until those contracts expired, without at least risking his edit on the show, he’s a smart guy, and do people realise it’s not his decision re the show? He doesn’t get to choose what is shown or what edit someone gets. He can’t go up to a producer and say “please give Danielle a good edit” lol. It was the first season, he had no idea there would even be a second one or that it would blow up like that. It’s not fair to take it out on him either. He DID say enough to let us know something didn’t add up. Want to blame someone? The editors and producers, with Sallyann (creator’s) sign off. Same thing with Sammi and Angelina. Big mouths (impolite, back then at least), big problems.
He chose his career, and had a plan from the beginning. He perhaps does/did feel bad, but as Danielle said, what does it matter now? I’m glad she’s happy, healthy, and has her own family. Think of all the girls who were “grenades” only good enough for the smush room. At least we all knew there was more to the story and she never lowered herself to that. Remember to REALLY think about reality tv, and that how you are to the producers, editors, cameramen, everyone behind the scenes, will play a big part in “who you are”. Read a former crew (I think producer’s?) AMA on reddit.

This is based on a producer who worked on the original run from Seasons 1-3. I can’t credit this person as their user name is deleted and they are anonymous for obvious reasons. There’s a lot more, so I suggest you have a read yourself on the AMA!
GENERAL
*Thanks so much for doing this! What I wanna know is, how would you describe the first interactions between the cast members in season 1? Who clicked right away and who didn’t? Anything interesting you noticed?*
Mike and Pauly clicked the fastest out of the guys. Same age group (they were the oldest) and same motivations (partying and girls).
Jenni was a little distant in the beginning. She clicked fastest with Ron.
Nicole came on very strong as seen on the show and they treated her like an annoying little sister and pushed her away.
Angelina and Sam paired up very quickly. They were the closest out of everyone in the house until Sam started seeing Ron. But then Ange would hang out with the two of them.
Vinny was probably closest to Ron at first.
*Is it true the cast were not getting paid per episode in the first season other than what they made at the shore store? How much did they start making per episode by season 2?*
They didn't make anything the first season. They only made money from working at the Shore Store. You can tell that they took their jobs much more seriously that season because it was their only source of income. And much like they have done on The Real World, you can't stay on the show if you quit your job. After the first season, that obviously didn't matter much anymore.
I think they each made around $130K during Miami.
*Were they actually as drunk as they seemed or was it exaggerated? Also how much partying did they do?*
It wasn't exaggerated. Well, nix that. I do think that Deena was exaggerating it and trying too hard when she first came on. But I chalk that up to nerves. It's hard coming onto an already established show as a newbie.
They partied A LOT. It was all that they could do. We limited personal phone calls to once a week. There was no television, no cell phones, no computers, no writing notes, no going off anywhere in private without a producer. Partying was their only form of entertainment. They didn't have technology, but they always had a fridge stocked with alcohol. You know what that means. PARTAY.
*How much of this show is persuaded/staged by producers? If any?*
When I worked on the show, I can honestly say that not much was staged.
But the hook ups after the first season were slightly inauthentic. When I worked in field, we had to go out to malls/restaurants/cafes and find girls, then invite them back to the nightclubs that evening with VIP passes. We would also get them to sign film release documents at that time too. Then when they would arrive to the club, we directed them to interact with the cast... and then it would play out from there.
*How often were they taking different girls back? Was it like every night? In the UK version (Geordie shore) the guys said that as the show for bigger it was harder to find girls who would actually come back because they didn't want to be shown on TV, was it the same for Jersey shore?*
It was the glory years when I worked on the show. People were more naive to reality television and how it works. So it wasn't difficult for us to find girls.
We did worry that because the cast could be vocal about people's looks (or lack thereof) that girls would be insecure and worry that they would end up as the "grenade" on an episode. But funny enough, all the girls that came on the show had a false sense of security because they were scouted by us. They assumed they were picked because they were the type of girl that the guys found attractive. When in reality, we just took what we could find.
Let me say, if this was real life, and this had happened, she would have every right to be angry. However, this whole scenario is scripted and from what I know, she was in on it. Hence, you’re seeing all of the cast (including the boys) not taking her “anger” seriously. They feel she is trying to capitalize on something she already had prior information on and trying to play a victim.
We’ll see how it plays out.
*when do you think Jersey Shore "jumped the shark?"
do you think they got too rich and famous to where the show became less entertaining and not as "real" as it was in the early seasons?*
I think it should have ended after season 3. And I'm not being biased-- we could just all see the authenticity was slowly fading that season. And the ending had a finality to it... bittersweet goodbyes and saying bye to the shore.
* Why did you leave JS? Did you find a better job or did JS become too taxing?*
Little bit of both. I was ready to move on.
*Also, who was the closest on the show? We’re PD and vinny as close as the cameras portrayed, same with jenni and Nicole? Also did they use the nicknames for fame?*
Jenni and Nicole were close. Not at first for awhile but their friendship extended off-screen for sure.
I can't say the same for Pauly and Vinny. That may be the case now but when I worked on the show, they didn't stay in touch when they weren't filming. But Pauly and Mike definitely did originally.
*Which roommates knew each other before the show?*
Angelina and Mike
Angelina and Vinny
Sam and Mike
Snooki and Deena met during auditions. So, they knew each other because of the show.
PAULY
*Is Pauly D a nice guy?*
He’s friendly. He’s very reserved when the cameras are down, carrying a conversation with him is like pulling teeth.
*Who would you say gets the best edit on the show?*
Pauly. Without a doubt.
I'm sure savvy viewers have noticed that you don't ever see anything about his life or family outside of the house.
He is very good at keeping things private. When we would interview him for talking heads, it was like getting blood from a stone! He was wise to the production interrogations!
*Not your season but on season 4 with the girl who stole Pauly's chain. Was the film crew able to tell them she jacked it?*
No, that would fall under the liability mumbo jumbo. Anything that happens to them while in the house (including a girl stealing his jewelry) is on them. Therefore, no obligation to say anything.
*What's the truth about that Danielle situation? Was she really a stalker or was that just the storyline about her?*
I believe she knew Pauly before the show and from Rhode Island. I wouldn't call her a "stalker" but she was very aggressive and a touch clingy.
I think her social awkwardness contributed to the "stalker" edit. It was almost like she just served that storyline to us on a silver platter.
I do think Pauly may have led her on slightly too, though. But it's no different than other guys who are partying in their 20s. Doesn't make it right. But doesn't make it wrong.
DEENA
*I've always felt that Deena was a little bit fake? I felt like she always looked up to Snooki and became a bit more radical on the show then she was in real life because she wanted Snooki to like her (or get her approval or something).*
I think she was trying to find an identity to fit in on the show rather than just by being herself. I wouldn't call it fake, I would call it nerves. I think to some extent that she did look up to Nicole but I don't think she was actively trying to be like her. She just couldn't help herself.
*You've sad that Angelina was horrible to work with. Well, who was the most fun to work with and why?
And is Snooki really that hysterical?*
My favorite was Deena because she was low maintenance and just so grateful to be there!
Snooki really is that hysterical. You can't make up the shit that she says and does. Her and Mike were born to be reality television stars. They make it look easy because it comes so naturally to them. That is their element.
*Do you think deena was a good replacement when Angelina left?*
In all honesty? No. I mean, it's complicated.
Deena is a sweetheart! But in a show full of characters, she was just kind of... there.
She had originally auditioned for season 1. That's where her and Nicole met. They weren't best friends that knew each other for a long time like the show tried to portray. They literally met at auditions, and then ran into each other a few times at the Shore and partied together.
We went through old audition tapes from season 1 and came across Deena, knew she had a semi-connection with Nicole, and went with it because we knew she'd be less maintenance than Angelina. And at the time, we felt that someone who was opposite of Angelina would be a good fit. She was a good fit with the roommates but in terms of reality television, not memorable.
I actually matched with one of Pauly D’s ex’s on a dating app about 8 months ago … probably one of his more famous relationships .. they also did a reality show together at one point .. I’m sure you can figure it out..
I never met up with her, but I spoke to her for about 4 hours on the phone the day we matched. She was “out there” for sure.. her personality wasn’t for me, but she lived a very interesting life (she had an affair with Trumps son etc.) so I wanted to hear more about it even though I knew I would never actually go out with her..
She ended up spilling a lot of tea about everyone (I remember she was telling me that Diddy was going to be in so much trouble soon and he’s a really bad person etc .. and I just was like “yeah.. ok”) … she talked a lot about Pauly … everything from what sex with him was like to how bad of a person he really is etc..
Again, I honestly didn’t even know how much I believed her, she was a scorned ex .. so I took it all with a grain of salt .. but I do think she spoke HER truth .. and ultimately was right about Diddy … so I do think there’s a lot of truth to it..
I don’t remember a lot of the details, but the gist was Pauly D has a side to him that nobody knows. He’s not a good person .. She also said sex with him was always very hard/rough and would only last about 3 minutes … she was not impressed with how he was in bed at all and she was never “satisfied”… Her affair with Trumps son was a more interesting story lol.

I love hearing Danielle’s side to this. The fact that he gave her a bracelet saying I ❤ Italian Guys FIRST (or whatever it said) and they left that completely out is so shady. They were definitely making her look crazy. I still can’t believe they bullied her when she came to the house in season 3. It was so fucking rude and cruel.

It’s looking to me like he was genuinely into her ((and clearly didn’t care that it was going to be filmed with the possibility of airing)) but then she DID eventually make a stalker move or two- that he reacted to- and producers decided to edit the whole thing differently.

Because she is. A professional one. She was on TLC's my strange addiction for celebrity stalking. She finds out which celebs are where and waits for hours to get a photo/autograph from them. But she is IN LOVE with Pauly. He's the only one she has hats/clothes for and follows him around the country. RUclips it.

I think they're kind of using that word a little loosely. It could be just to sum up this interview. But even though she isn't his ex everything they did still affected her life and everyone deserves a chance to tell their story.

lol… this set up doesn’t look that professional anyway. Like who cares? Maybe one of them has a kid watching TV so that they’re even able to do the interview. Or maybe one their significant other’s is being inconsiderate or maybe the SO HAS to work and there’s no other space for them both to be. I mean, this isn’t a professional set up to begin with so idk why you’re complaining.
The saddest part is that we were all fooled into thinking that Pauly was the exception to the trash, but he was right in there with them. Whatever, it really doesn't even matter now because the whole cast fights poof and blowout to stay relevant. Not only could they not hang on to their souls, but they also lost their human images.
