I used to put my why as being independent and not a burden. The true why I realized is to feel proud of myself. Contrary to feeling ashamed or frozen (stuck) due to being overwhelmed. I like the way you speak peacefully.
What has helped me save is being aware and knowing what makes me happy and not looking at what others do but what genuinely makes me happy and spend accordingly
Thank you for these tips, Bola. This came at a perfect time because my old library where I worked was taken over by a city one in April, and I’m now in transition to a new job, interviewing, and trying to find ways to cut back or make more to pay the same amount of bills. For some time, I have worried about not having or working enough at my on-call college library job long term if unemployment benefits run out, so thank you for helping during this time of limbo. I’m grateful to live with family during this time while riding the wave and doing some petsitting for at least some essentials, so that is something. :)
So glad you found it useful. Yes to thinking positively, you will find something soon to replace your income and even much more! Stay focused! You've got this.
I'm going to find my true why. Most of the time I was working just to be independent and not a burden on anyone but that doesn't seem like a joyful "why".
