Had a few questions on signing. The plan as of now is to sign the box or have a signing event. Don’t worry, the engines are safe! :)
This looks like one awesome engine Chris. Ken Sr/Ken Jr are two of the best in the business. Trainland on Long Island is an awesome store and a great place for a signing event hint hint! 😂
They didn’t say if it’s going to compatible with the lion chief app did they?
Will the engine paint scheme be on one of the caty locomotives
You can aign all engine boses scheduled for delivery and you can have a special signing event at Trainland' in Lynbrook for those that can make it to the store
How do people make a custom run of any engine? Do you have to be a RUclipsr to make custom runs?

I'm very excited for this locomotive. When I saw the announcement with trainworld I started laughing because I had ordered the UP MKT heritage unit from lionel. Can't wait to see both (little more excited for the custom run) in person. I'm going to need to do a lash-up with the UP MKT heritage, RBP custom run, and the Eric's trains custom run on one train.
Damn….I can’t believe Lionel didn’t catalog the SD70M in the Vol 1 2023 catalog. Let alone any EMD SD Series!
I personally will have Lionel produce a custom run SD70M for my company in the future when they re-catalog the SD70M!
My grandpa and my great great grandpa both worked for the Katy. So while I’m too young to remember it, the Katy holds a special place for me as well. I have a lot of HO Katy locomotives and rolling stock. Just wish this was in HO scale!

really nice item, but just one question, what if we can't afford it because usually these are pretty expensive anyways great vid\eo can't wait to see if you make another one in future, it could even be a steam engine, who knows?.

Congratulations Chris. I can't think of anyone more deserving of this honor than you. Your enthusiasm and knowledge have helped so many people and this hobby. I get a big kick with watching your videos and how you're speaking to the audience. I have never thought about getting a Katy engine until I started watching your videos and looking at your t-shirts. Look what you have created in two short years. Unfortunately for me I live on the West Coast and I'm not able to hook up with you at these events. Maybe that's a good thing because I have a similar personality to yours. We would have everybody in stitches laughing in a short amount of time. I really like your layout and your collection. Keep the videos coming. I'm sure many of us look forward to them. Don't forget MTH also does custom runs. Looking forward to your next video. Congrats again on the kATY.

Chris your videos are always entertaining and informative with train info and tips. Always checking and waiting for the next video to come. Watched this video yesterday and preordered today. That paint scheme is, I think is the greatest I've seen on RUclips yet. It just pops. Awesome videos and keep up the great work, can't wait for more videos.

Well congrats to you for getting this project done. Today, Aug 22, I received my TrainWorld Katy RBP Exclusive. Now O need to get the other heritage ES44AC…..and of course…..the forthcoming caboose. Wondering if it will be a smoker….a wifi CAM, maybe an end of device light or something or else special….hmmm. Maybe a voice caboose….yeahhhhh. Well whatever it is…..gotta have it. BTW, how many were made?????? Got number 215 myself.

Chris, during your video, you mentioned that you're working with Trainland and Lionel to produce more Katy train items. On Sturaday, I was at Trainland and they said the next Lionel catalog will have a lot of Katy items. Any hint on what you and Trainland are planning with Lionel? P.S. You may have surpassed Eric's branded engine of 50 units..;)

Nice! This would be a cool locomotive to get. I don't really have any O scale stuff, but I've been thinking about getting some O scale locomotives just to collect and possibly set up on a diorama on a shelf to display them and run the sound occasionally (haha, sure, just a few to display he says). I live just outside of Tulsa very close to an old Katy line that runs from Tulsa to Muskogee that the UP now uses.
Pretty cool that live so close to the actual line that the Katy used!
