    2 quick things matt: when you explore a place, if there is amazing things still left, can't you phone up a local museum to that area, so some of the stuff at least gets saved and doesn't get lost to time, or get stolen/damaged. An that wooden Chinese thing you found, is called an arrow of light, it's a wooden shaped arrow soaked in pig brine with herbs/spices that embue magical properties to it, an is fired into the sky to dispell any evil/bad luck, so that the people of the area have a good harvest, the emperor is safe etc things like that, as back in those times they was very superstitious.

    • @TinyStitches1
      @TinyStitches1 2 года назад +6

      To call up a museum or something would be to admit they were trespassing...

    • @marckentzer1435
      @marckentzer1435 2 года назад

      @@TinyStitches1 what.....an instead let other urban explorers steal stuff or immature kids set fire to the place. End of the day, saving the stuff is what matters, an technically it's not tresspass if it's abandoned, because there would have to be a living relative or someone to be able to take it to court, so at worst they'd just get a slap on the wrist. Look how many places get damaged trashed an infact in these last few weeks, alot of places seem to have 'accidently" gone up in flames.

    • @TinyStitches1
      @TinyStitches1 2 года назад +4

      I agree, but technically, they shouldn't be in there to see those things..

      @@TinyStitches1 but yet you watch their videos? Let me ask you something, where are you from? I'm from sheffield, an it's always changing week by week, new buildings old ones knocked down etc. So without people like matt an Andy, the history of places would be completely lost forever if they didn't document it for everyone else to see.

    • @TinyStitches1
      @TinyStitches1 2 года назад +5

      @Marc Kentzer I don't have a problem with what the boys are doing , I am seeing more history and architecture through their videos than I will ever see locally. I'm in Australia, not that it makes a difference. I enjoy their videos and will continue to watch but that doesn't change the fact that for the most part, the law won't agree with us.

Wedding photo with multiple vicars (found in draw) man at the very top of photo looks like matt damon, also everyone else looks old fashioned but one guy to far right of photo stands out looks more modenish, he looks like kenneth macdonald (Mike pub landlord from only fools and horses). Did you notice the Chinese women, in the photo found in the writing desk, have bound feet? Lotus petals are what they aim for in looks; they start binding at a young age and the only man to look at her feet would be her husband. It was difficult for the women to walk with bound feet (so she was of a high social status with servants). That is what I can recall about the custom.

    Tang Dynasty. 715 AD would have been the end of their reign. The 2 coins are to ward off evil spirits. They are round like heaven with a square hole representing Earth. The black candles is to ward off bad energy. The wood was taken from some mountain. It is shaped as an arrow used to ward off evil spirits. it is explaining that this is a shrine that was given to him from another religious figure he became friends with.

    The wooden piece is from a mountain shrine, at 12,000 feet. Can't read where or who the shrine is to but, it's made of rocks and hundreds of these sticks are there, it's to ward off evil.
