onions we once again have a product I couldn't find listed outside of the business center. from what I've seen your average Costco won't sell yellow onions due to supply issues due to COVID.
@PitouMewMew i pay $3 for a 10 pound bag (30 cents/pound). That being said, if I could do all my grocery in one shot at one place, i wouldnt mind paying the costco price to get it over with.
Yeah, but now with the fucking price of food, anyone with a normal to large size, family has to buy food there unless you want to spend a grip on fucking food that you just eat and shit out anyways which I know I don’t
As a Costco stocker those pallets of buckets soy sauce must be the most annoying thing to move. So far a pallet of Kirkland signature vodka is the heaviest thing I’ve moved
Rows and rows of snacks, many you’ve never seen or you thought they’d stop making them. Whole sides of beef or pork. Definitely different from a regular Costco (no rotisserie chicken!) Not many Costco Business centers around but worth it. Checkout and card is the same
Costco has been a life saver for me. I pay the 120 membership. (Black card) And since me and family go so often. The cash back reward usually pays for the 120$ membership and has some left over to pay for a part of my next purchase
Bro those jalapeños and tortillas are a steal!!! $5.49 for like 20x the amount you would pay for an 8 oz jar at any grocery store. And those tortillas are massive for 3.50?? Wtf
Prices in America seem expensive. 24 Monsters for 36 dollars equals 1.5 dollar per can, that is around 1.3 euro but american price is without tax so with tax its lets day 1.5,1.6euro which is the same price for which I can buy it at any store in Croatia
If you guys have an aldis near you, they’re the cheapest grocery store I have ever found and it’s all decent quality food as well. They even have some real good steaks for cheap
I usually shop at Aldi bc it’s cheap too, but their produce is pretty bad quality and the one near me is always out of stock of different items so I end up having to go somewhere else. Usually the local chains have wayyyy better deals on steaks that have been reduced bc of appearance.
Some studies show that more than third of food bought at Costco is being thrown away. If you aren’t a small business owner or buying for a huge family you’re most likely wasting food, or consuming much more that you would actually wanted in other circumstances.
If you live within a hundred miles of a farm cooperative, the pricing for whatever they sell that's the same or similar will be well under whatever the big warehouse retail stores sell the same stuff for.
If you live in Southern California, there is alternatives to Costco. Restaurant Depot & Smart and Final. I have ran my 4 restaurants successfully without a visit to Costco.
I love Costco business center for meat. Can buy a whole case of chickens, wings, thighs, breasts for a decent price. Just food saver them and freeze so there’s easy to grab portions when you need it. Also good for buying whole ribeye and tritip so you can slice as thin or thick as you want. They even sell whole goat/sheep carcass there and you can cut it up if you have the right saw for it. If you’re a carnivore it’s a great place for meat. If you’re a vegan they sell a lot of breads and produce as well as large cans of beans and corn. Decent prices on coffee beans as well. They’re set up for small restaurants and convenience stores to have supplies in case that’s not clear. I actually like shopping at the business center more than the regular Costco. But there’s no food court.
It's tough because some of the prices are right on par with Amazon if you do subscribe and save. I think Costco edges it out only if you get the executive membership and get the cash back every year. That and the fact that Costco has perishables but Amazon can only deliver them if you live close to a whole foods.
mind you people. that's actually pretty expensive for bulk items. snickers bars are .67 cents. if you have a vending machine you aren't making much on those. inflation also took away profit margins.
Is this considered cheap? I think the Monster pack was pretty expensive at 1.50 per can. This is the normal unit price you pay in a normal supermarket in my country. However you can buy those regularly discounted for around 88 cents and you don't have to buy a whole package. I live in Germany.
Costco is horrible it tricks people into this mentality of thinking. They're saving money by buying in bulk when they're not or they're saving very little money for the amount of items they're buying.
@Bald Kiwi I went to Costco and compared it with Walmart And other chain grocery stores. And you're not saving any money at all and on top of that you have to buy their store brand because they just don't carry name brands.
If a family with married brothers and sisters. You could divide the pkg and everyone pays for their shares. Just like sharing a 50 pound of rice or beans everyone brings their own bucket or bag.
It's good to see the shelves full at the stores I never thought in modern society I would get a call from my dad like basically panicking asking me did you buy food do you have enough food cuz of covid and all the f****** store shelves being empty I had to work at a Wendy's just to be able to like be near a food source at all because there was like nothing left
With the exception of soy sauce, everything else is cheaper up to 2X less in a regular store in Romania...onion is 2X cheaper and you can buy only 1 kg If You want
How much do people usually spend here when buying in stock?...here for a 3-people household they usually spend 300-350€. But those snickers bars look so good in bulk. You pretty much can't get this here 😔
Its a good thing this store isn’t in south africa because my dad would’ve never believed the bargains and quantity of this place he would be there the whole day 🤣🥲
