2019 Ford Fiesta R5 Mk2 Rally Car: Launch Control, Accelerations & More

During the 2019 Monza Rally Show I recorded two new Ford Fiesta R5 Mk2 cars. Built and developed by the English company M-Sport, the Fiesta R5 Mk2 is based on the Mk-8 generation of the Ford Fiesta road car, in particular on the ST-Line version. The 1.6 turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is able to produce 290 bhp and 475 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The Mk2 might have some of my favorite anti-lag such a guttural clatter out of any R5's.

What is anti lag I'm new

@@helmetculture it's a system used to give instant turbo boost, most turbos take a bit of time to have their maximum power, to limit this rally cars will dump fuel into the exhaust causing small explosions to keep it spooled when drivers are off the throttle.
There are different maps and settings so many cars sound quite different. I reccomend listening to the modern 2022 Rally1 WRC cars as they have some insane noise off throttle. Enjoy the sport mate, it's an amazing one!
