Rating - 8/10 - love me some Donna. She honestly just makes me happy when she's on my screen. I'm glad she kicked ass again in this ep but sad times when it comes to Doug. Relationships seem doomed to fail on this show. I did like that ending scene, it felt powerful & raw. The music gets me every time! The creepy human-esque MOTW was intersting to watch & love the twists! I always find the more human villains more freaky. Bring on the next one :)

This episode had a legit horror movie feel that none of the other episodes really had. Really cool. I’ve never really thought about it before, but I’m gonna look and see who directed this episode. One of the better monster of the week episodes for sure.
I wish they did that more instead of relying on the repetitive drama and did what Eric kripke did which was mix the comedy, drama, and horror evenly.
Donna's presence and significance, in this ep, create such a tragic symmetry to how Sam is viewing the world right now; he is losing hope and yet- what that does for furthering his characterization is quite interesting. Sam in contrast to Dean is more so optimistic (which is needed in several occurrences) and that is extremely important as when he seems to be the one that is burdened by what reality is (if focused on without hope) it breaks my heart- as it does Dean's...same way of what we had to see Donna face. Now, there is a tangible example in her life of the possible losses she may have to suffer when she chooses Hunting to be her "normal" and although, I believe that there can be a balance in these lives, watching them experience the weight of this job... well, "Name one hero who was happy" I suppose. But, there is a need to continue fighting and perhaps, at some moment in the future, they can just find another anchor because even though the brothers have each other, they need to know they have themselves.
The case itself was quite unnerving and the direction for showing the pooling of blood on a white shirt (knowing Sam was also wearing a white shirt) that- the first time I'd seen it, I did audibly gasp so...well done Supernatural...staph, please. Lastly, the musical murder at the beginning of the episode- I just love that because the flamboyancy it makes me think the murderer is capable of was definitely executed well and then, by the mere idea of a business being birth for that and the explanation behind it...it is something But still, horrendous. Again, your reactions will always be something I look forward to so, can't wait to see you witness the rest of...this.
17:15 I actually did some searching around last week trying to see if anyone has counted how many cell phones these dudes have broken lol. Couldn’t find anything, so there is space available for some hero out there to start counting these things.

Oh Sam 😩 Didn't even fight to get free...
This is one of the only few episodes that really, actually creep me the hell out. This level of gore is the absolute maximum I can endure and sometimes even a bit too much and I have to postpone the rewatch to a time where I'm in a better mood. I don't really think SPN is very scary, but in this episode the screaming, the music and those saw noises are absolutely horrifying.
I feel so sorry for poor Sam in this episode. At first I wondered about how the roles of Sam and Dean have reversed so abruptly, but I am one mental breakdown older since the first time I watched the show and now it feels like the first part of the season where Sam had to be strong for them both and had to soldier on, raise Jack and keep Dean out of trouble while also mourning a friend and his mother caught up to him.
And poor Donna. I felt sorry for her and Doug, but I think it's realistic that Doug i´wants no part in it. He doesn't seem the type for being a hunter.

great week ender reaction and analysis of an ep that had a heavier feel than I would normally expect knowing that Donna would be on it, and sad that she took a hit losing Doug to the horrible reality of things... (his accented, "I was a vampire" always makes me laugh).... good stuff and you get 2 CTU's from me today..... keep em coming, D!

this is honestly why I really love these later seasons. Sam and Dean essentially swap roles and personalities compared to how they were in the beginning. and it makes so much sense.
Sam in the beginning was always the hopeful one, the one who always believed they did good things for people. saved people. Dean was the pessimistic one, the one who always was doubtful of everything and everyone involved. but now in these last couple seasons Sam is the doubtful one and Dean is the one who is hopeful about everything. the way they flip flop is actually a great storytelling point.
Exactly, i get how the show can feel repetitive at times in later seasons but it's worth it for the character moments

The question is ofcourse "where did the monsters get the big bucks?"
This is why they need "someone who gets the life" they've gone through that conversation several times. When they have relationships where they have to lie about who they are and what they do it ends up bad (jess and cassie) . Or where they have to be someone who they are not and ignoring their issues and real wants (Lisa and amelia). They need someone who they can be themselves with and share the lives they really want and someone who accepts and understands their true selves. Just like Donna and Doug where that relationship couldn't work because the life with monsters is too much for Doug.
And ohh Sam's heart is so precious right?! Obviously please keeping his integrity. But his heart is suffering right now and Dean is the one trying to cheer him up this time and we can see how their hopelessness hit different for each of them and for different reasons and notice how when Dean was desperate and hopeless he was saying the same thing that Sam is saying here. That it ends bloody and they hurt people around them.
I definitely think Dakara was an expert Cluedo Player the way she gets her predictions right.

There is places in the darknet / deepweb where people do the same in the real world.
They pay and order human parts to eat, some of them are chefs, and some of them just love human meat.
There is also some where they have a cam on and they knock on a random persons door and kill them.
Or they order kidnappings of kids or homeless.
Some get eaten, some get killed, some get stuffed like animals, so they can look like real life dolls.
most of them are rich because they can afford to bet on it and so on.
It is disgusting and again never go on the darknet lol 😂 you will get paranoid cuz they can turn on you webcam and track you.
I could have went my whole life without knowing this.
