Very cool. The Fj is very tempting for me. Had a real FJ for like 8 years. Want a mini version!
Hell yea man iv been working on the 18s also I wish they could make some upgrades for the fire horse and the other ones like you said that'd be sweet.....got some WPL's and MNs I love em great trail rigs man.... awesome video bro keep em coming
And as usual... another fantastic video!!! So jealous right now of this spot. Wish there was something like like that around here!!
Luckily this is on a friend’s property so we are hoping to start running it more often!
@@2fmrc You are a lucky man then. I would say get some cool footage, but I already know you're gonna that!! Can't wait to see it!!
Excited for another video keep up the amazing content and seriously appreciate all you do for the community
I love my FMS LC80. They do an amazing job with the detail, and they hold up without breaking, so whatever plastic they use is amazingly durable. I managed to replace the motor with a Furitek Micro Komodo, and it was a direct bolt in. Just needs a little trimming of the interior around the center console to make it fit. Found some metal transmission gears on ebay. and metal drive shafts on Ali Express, and brass wheels, and now it's a crawling beast. One of my favorite rigs.
Of course!!! The 18th scale is to be driven in and outdoors! That's what opens a world of new options versus the 24th scale, going out and be capable to tackle most of the obstacles in the wild!!
The FMS details are sooo good!
I love driving my FJ around. I burned out the stock motor twice and just installed a purple Injora 050. It fits but I haven't take it out for a test run. Some better tires make a good difference
Those are definitely awesome to see outdoors, I got so many ideas in my head for upgrades now! Thanks Matt!
Always love to watch an FJC running! Glad to see you running these 1/18 FMS. The Katana was my 3rd purchase and that thing is a tank! A few upgrades and weight and these rigs are great performers. All the weight from the bodies gives em that nice body roll too!
Dude, this was a blast.
Hitting lines with trail trucks is its own kind of fun and just AMAZINGLY scale they are just really adds something to the experience! Those shots near the end turned out amazing!
Out of the group I go crawling with, there's a couple that want the rc to perform how they drive. Part of the fun I always found was figuring out how an rc performs and what is capable of. Haven't put an rc in my stable recently as we're still looking for a house, but the little monster trucks and then the trx4m's are next. The capra is a lot of fun to drive, very capable btw. You won't be disappointed. Sounds like you're on the mend, good to hear! Catch you on the next one!
Awesome video! I have the FMS Katana, it is a great rig. Drives more like a real rig would, probably because of the super heavy body. With a few mods I think it could be a really good comp crawler!
Awesome video, what a great place to. Crawl! I have the trx4m bronco coming on Friday and the bronx coming by the end of the month. Exciting times for 1/18! I have found on my other FMS rigs that brass rings in the tires really help. Also scx24 brass wheel weights with extensions help, the special wheel nuts just need to be retapped to fit the FMS axles. The diffs are pretty big on these, It would be awesome if the FCX24 portal axles could fit these.
Super cool Matt, got both of my Max smashers wow are they ever beautiful got the speed motors for both that’s my next thing to do
Not sure about the 18s but the spread of so called 24s made me drool🤤
Loving the content, I'm kind of torn about getting into yet another scale. My eyes say YES, by brain and wallet say STICK TO 1:10 AND 1:24!
Nice video. Would love see you do some mods it there. I got a lc80 with furitek esc and micro kamoto
You mentioned having the Firehorse… did you review it? Rc Review almost convinced me and it’s on a great sale price at FairRc right now.
Seeing your perspective would be great. Keep doing what you do, man👍🏻 Great Stuff!
I actually just got it. Haven’t ran it yet. Fms is running the sale on them and ask what I thought about it. I told them I didn’t know cause I didn’t have one lol. So they just sent me one! Hopefully I can get some time with it soon but for $100 (amazon) it’s definitely a good buy just from what I’ve seen so far. It’s very similar to my fj and bronx in build and those are both a blast.
@@2fmrc
I was wondering if it was a similar build as those. From the video…. It did look scale with them. It looked like it did pretty good on the course that Francis runs on. And the $99 sale tag at Fair Rc makes it better still lol. I wonder why it’s priced so much lower though.
Go ahead and get busy on that video. You’ve got time 🎃
Thanks for what you bring to micro rc , Sir.
Please do
This are pretty cool for sure... but being on the budget that I am on in my r/c hobby, I gotta stick with scx24's... I love the realistic look of these though...
Any trail truck that can crawl through toxic waste and survive has to be good.😀
😆 gotta test em out!
I really like the look of the Defender. Is it a lot more top-heavy, or is it negligible?
Will the fms fj interior fit in the trx4m.
I’ll find out when I get my Traxxas 🤘
Hello do you know what oil shocks work on the fj crusier ?
Very nice
🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍😀😀😀🔵🔵🔵
Not another quick video? I was getting used to that! Lol
Any oil shocks available
You could definitely mount up any of the oil shocks for the Trx4m or cr18p. May take a little work but they should work.
@@2fmrc Thanks
Or will we have to wait for Traxxas to come out with one...
slow your video down by 25% and it will look super realistic
Hi Matt, Simon checking in from FL during the upcoming storm. How did the mounting go with the OGRC servo on the FCX24 axles? I have one coming but did not see any mounts for the FCX. I have almost all my SCX24 converted to the FCX axles?
