Like a guilty pleasure, I've held back watching this for two days. This man is a dying breed. He appreciates what is important. Why people risk life & limb to come to countries such as America & Australia, despite people saying how lousy & racist they are. People, we have lived in the best times, the western world is heading to hell in a handbasket. Thank goodness I'm at the rear end. The future genuinely scares me.
Love these old notes, I collect them just as seriously as I do coins.they go hand in hand with coin collecting, pure history and beauty.
I visited this shop several years ago, but have moved away. I now watch all his you tube videos.l I have found him to be just like his videos.
He is well infomed, very personable, and is a true expert with an interesting personality. '
He truly has coins and precious metals as a strong passion. I have old friends in
Florida who visit and deal with him regularly. If you research coins you can interact very positively with him and find him to be fair. Like all sellers, he takes the risk on what he buys and has to make a profit to stay in business, but I found he always gave me fair price.
The fact that he goes to local schools to talk with younger prospective collectors is a very noble effort. I am sure the kids find him interesting and enjoy his personality.
I watch all his videos with Spegtacular and always come away better informed and very convenial. I have found coin sellers in my new community, and have not found anybody as approchable and so knowledgable in the coin shop business. Miss visiting the Florida area.
We need longer videos like this, this video was fire bro
Numismatic content has a calming effect, like watching the golf channel. He could be talking about terrible news, but his voice and accent makes it sound like, eh shit'll buff out! No worries! Good job man
Always learn something listening to Coin Guy. I didn't know there was a .25c gold... Or that they could tell salt water damage when grading.
Congrats nice show. I really like finding some of the really nicely designed old notes
Thank you CM!
God bless Mr. coin guy it's so refreshing to listen to a true patriot. Thank you Jesse.
Much appreciated I love looking at old money and hearing the history . I would buy if I was there for sure.
I can already tell this is going to be good.
Agree, I Bought all my past from TD called tonight about 90% Constitution silver( Hard time hearing Children in back Ground. " Will Place order tomorrow , Take care of our Patriots... Thank you Lord God for keeping him on the" Green side...)
Coin Guy is a National Treasure. Every time I see a Speg video with CG I always get excited!
p.s. Speg you're pretty cool too.
Those earlier paper money notes have spectacular art work. People have no idea what incredible talent it takes to engrave a plate. Our money is boring. Stamps used to have incredible engraving. When they switched to the photo process they absolutely ruined stamp collecting.
I have a hand signed Confederate $20 note. It’s awesome but don’t really collect paper currency though.
Cool stuff!! Not a collector of paper but I enjoy learning.👍👍👍 Love the coins👁️👁️😃
I completed all the "nickname" notes. Ask the coin guy what that is or means. I really do have them all. Remainders are cool also. AND the Dix note. The Dix note is the "dixie" of the song. (Dix is French for 10).
I could listen to this man talk about dust... For however long the good Lord allows me, I'd love to hear him 8 hours a day. Sincerity is what I hear in his voice.
Amazing old notes, brilliant stuff and great info from Guy 😊
Coin Guy brings a sense of normalcy back to a world gone mad! Well done.
“Size doesn’t matter it’s what you do with it” I caught that Speg
Excellent content and review of the early paper currency. The hat pins bring back memories of my antique collection during 1980s. Good job and video.
Thank you, best episode ever, more paper money videos please
Love your show! Great work! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
I love your sense of humor ! Thank you Terry
It is always cool to see a visit with Coin Guy.
GOD BLESS Coin Guy...! a True {Red, White & Blue) Thru & Thru Patriot...
In my childhood (1950’s) I started collecting coins. The last time I looked at them was about 60 years ago, don’t have a clue about value, probably not worth much. Here’s the question: Not knowing anything about collecting I used an eraser to make the pennies shiny and clean. I know it was ignorant, but that’s life. So the question is, what color do you think they are today. All those years in the attic makes me wonder if they have changed to a dull color or not. Any guess about today’s status? They are still in the attic, when the weather changes I’ll visit them and probably have more questions. Hopefully we’ll be in Florida this winter, I’ll stop by and say hi.
Love the old notes...excellent video...Guy is awesome
Coin Guy's political views and his take on the financial environment are absolutely accurate. More people should listen to him before this country flames out. USA is already in a nose dive and spinning out of control.
Keep up the great content! Ole Guy got himself a new gat!
Just got the New Orleans notes for framing👍😄👍. Fast processing by CG,....Thanks Spegs for the video.
Ah cool. I’m glad you were able to pick one up.
Nice Speg . Always enjoy seeing Coin Guy , Thank You :) QC
Don’t collect notes, but this was really cool! Make currency great again Speg!
..i saw a guy buy a bunch of “horseblankets” at the LCS the other day....
@@ronaldmitchell3665 Local Caballo shop?
thank you for another great video with The CoinGuy.. I wish you had shown some early Texas notes but it was nice to see it all anyway...
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the video!👏🏾
Our pleasure!
I got a bunch of those broke bank notes years ago. They're really neat. I had never seen fractional confederate currency before, though. Thanks!
I could listen to "the coin guy" talk for hours going over different coins, notes, etc
Luckily you can! Days worth of videos on my channel of him!
very cool, I have a small collection of bills from around the world. they are all in terrible condition but still cool to have. great video.
Can't wait to get back to Florida from Vacation and visit Coin Guy again!
Whenever I see Texas currency, I click. Can’t wait.
Well I thought it was Texan currency. That’s for sure.
Hey. I look forward to the chats with Coin Guy....whoo hoo!
Guy needs some decent leather holsters for his revolvers. I've noticed he has a few he rotates through, one looked like a Colt and the other a Smith. Leather will do them justice!
Agree, Suggest Andy Artonin (not sure of last name spelling ) in the England if still on the Green side or Greg Kramer in Horse Hide. Best their is , Again In Horse Hide....
"What face? I wasn't focused on the face!" --Speg Too funny. :D
😬
Enjoy you two daily. We r Flying 2 Old Glory daily as well. Catching up on older content Speg!
Very cool and educational!! Supergarbageman sent me!! I enjoyed this video thank you very much!!
Awesome! I've been buying coins from this guy for a while now.. Hello from Texas!!
Looks like I've been supporting the right guy 😎 Let's Go Brandon 😜
Hello Speg The Coin guy has some cool coins and paper notes . Wish my LCS was that nice and helpful .
Thanks for sharing great info 👍🏾🌵
The Rickey collection was owned by a record setting major league baseball player. I once had a pmg graded 1953 $10 star note silver cert from that collection
Good on you catching Guy after a haircut, total pro move.
I think Coin Guy is the most entertaining LCS owner on the entire platform!
Oh for sure. The other LCS guys are lame.
It is certainly a great thing that you have these videos with Coin Guy and we do love the videos. Would it be impossible however, to do some videos with other buyer/collector/sellers of this type as Coin Guy and simply to get another perspective of the business?
My channel is full of that. I highly encourage you to experience all of the videos that I show.
I'm only into metals, but this was SUPER interesting!
Maybe you found it interesting because you love the history :) that’s the big draw for me.
Today I received my Feudal that you showcased in the video. I am a very happy coin collector.👍👍👍👍
Hint hint, that Savoy medieval coin at 49:20 is a great deal for 12 dollars!
I had to watch this again there is a wealth of information on rare paper money
Speck I'm happy anytime you are going guy are on RUclips thank you both and both you be safe
I just love the Coin Guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah but how much exactly?
Will try to visit next time I'm in Florida... Hope you've got some silver coins left CoinGuy. 😎
Maundy coins were given out on Good Thursday, the day before Good Friday over Easter. That's cool you picked up the 1902 National banknote from Pittsburgh, I live an hour east of Pittsburgh and have a 1902 Mellon National signed by RB Mellon, who was President of the bank. The uncut sheets of Obseletes are amazing, the Canal Bank has a deep history. I've been saying all along about using older eagle designs from those notes as well as designs from American banknote co. I love the colonials, each state was allowed to print currency, and if those states could not redeem them,Congress would. One of the more rare fractionals is a 1863 50 cent, made by Francis Spinner, who actually put his own image on them.Keokuk was named after Sauk chief Keokuk. As someone who loves to draw,I can appreciate all those beautiful designs. Excellent video, I loved it👍
Comment about the virus was spot on
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE CONFEDERATE CURRENCY. ESPECIALLY THE $500.00 BILL.
Spegtacular got Nathan from being from behind the scenes to being on screen.
Those are so nice. It seems too late for me to start collecting these. It has taken me a long time to have a very limited knowledge of coins.
Hi Steve , the interest helps bring other’s collections and achievements into our knowledge too... i share your joy.
The Canal Bank note sheets are really nice, and quite cheap compared to what one LCS is flogging them for here in Australia. ~US$70 per sheet? They want US$70 per bank note!
Ouch
coin guy is wearing a cool ring and he's got some cheap prices on some of those notes
"Had a lot of fun at The Fun Show". Well said brother. Thanks for the intuitive feedback. 🤔🥴
“Jawline And bone structure“ lol “cut of his chin” lol lol
Love you guys really hope I can make it from the treasure Coast to your shop one day
I know I’m really late to this episode, but I just started watching you within the last month.
For those of you who believe in God, Jesus, please pray for my mom.
She has been in hospice care for the last 3 1/2 months and the last month has been brutal. A lot of suffering.
My prayer is that she peacefully passes in her sleep, and everyone she wants to be there will be present to say goodbye
Thank you to anyone who reads this and prays.
God bless you all, and may he help us all use wisdom in these current and future days. Thank you, Jesus for all you’ve done and will do.
If I go to that coin store. I’ll be a kid in a candy store
24:03 They are security fibers. I can't say for fractional currency, but all US money has red and blue fibers embedded in the paper, it makes it more difficult to counterfeit.
Hey speg big fan love the content I was just wondering if whenever you get a chance next time if we could get counguys thoughts on the west point quarters and the type 1ase proof vs type 2
We’ve spoken about both in past videos. Check them all out.
@@Spegtacular ok thanks I thought I was all caught up but I'm happy to find out I'm not
You got to love Coin Guy
Loved the show and I called and bought the France Feudal and some confederate money
Nice!! Thanks for watching too.
Love it my friend 👍🏼🤩
Beautiful Bank Notes, enjoy collecting them 👍👍👌.
Looks like Nathan. Great line!
Those uncut bills are beautiful 😍 great vid🙌
Please do more lomg videos like this. Its amazing!
You might want to check with PCGS about the salt water corrosion. I have seen treasure coins and what I have seen have never been affected.
Got to pay a visit to the Coin Guy Shop soon, I'm down in Palm Harbor.
Slide up and see him in a couple weeks. Call yo confirm he’ll be in the shop.
Washington didn't want pictures of known people on US $.
I've got some currency but nothing like my coin collection but love the old notes they had eye appeal then. Got a beautiful black eagle graded a 63 by pmg but looking for descent bison note
In the words of my Gramps.... "Coin Guy got his ears lowered" Another great video!
Just started to get into paper money let’s go!
There is a good series of books for obsolete currency. Like10 volumes i believe. Great resource
So if you took one of the gold or silver certificates to the treasury... would they have to give you gold or silver? 🧐🤔🤔🤔
LOL 🤣🤣🤣"I was in a dungeon"-Coin Guy.... Quote of the year! 🤣🤣🤣
Gold for gold silver for silver
but today? They’d probably just laugh at you.
🤣
Can we not do doorbells on the intro…my dogs go crazy EVERYTIME hahah. Love the vids
Awesomeness brother ❤😊
Not only were the old school bibles hand written, but they artwork on the pages were hand drawn also. One page was months and months of work that made the books inaccessible to normal every day people.
yeah and normal or average people couldn't read or write, nor understand latin. We take for granted how normal reading is and how for a long time it was a very limited ability to the priest or noble classes
14:40 love it
A person from my coin club collects colonial currency signed by people who signed the desecration of independence
I like the 12 1/2 and 6 1/4 cent obsolete notes. Basically denominations divisible into reales.
Mr Guy is the best
Thanks guys , would love to buy some notes from the coin guy?.
That orange script you see writing on it if you turn it and look at it at a glanced to side you see about 2 or 3 sentences
Lol I guess the size doesn't matter it's just how you use it haha THE HAT PINS
The educational notes are beautiful I owned one should of kept it
Good times! I was trying so hard to see the price on the fractional 10 little note with the angry guy on it....how much is it spec? Lol
I learned a lot from coin guy.
The day that the Queen handed out money is Boxing Day the day after Christmas. It’s where the rich take of their servants and the poor. They give money, gifts and food.
Coinguy- idk why you have to put up with those temps in the deep South. You could move your entire operation to the PNW metro-strip and do even better than ol Florida. And the weather wouldn’t be so bru-tal (if you consider a bit if rain a bother and hazard. ) There’s no competition either except “Bellevue”....
