- I already translated the main theme, so I figured why not do the other songs from the soundtrack? I bring you Elegy of winds, a more somber song that I thought could serve as a way to pay tribute to the various antagonists of the game.
This track was originally produced for the game Fuga: Melodies of Steel and belongs to CyberConnect2, I am not in partnership and I don't hold any rights over anything, I merely provided a translation so more people can get into the game I loved so much.
Thank you to the people over on CyberConnect2 for this lovely game!
PD: Some translations were changed to better match the pacing of the song or to make the imagery as impactful as the original, so it's not a 1 to 1 thing.
PPS: Recently, I arranged a minor edit of a higher quality extended version of Elegy of Winds that I used for the Spanish lyrics video, so maybe I will remaster this one in the future.

Without knowing the words, it was simply adding sadness to already sad scenes where it plays.
Knowing the lyrics, it makes these scenes even more heart-wrenching.
Can confirm the lyrics are right, when I first played this game and I heard this song, I could understand eveything because I'm French, it tore a hole in my heart. Man this game is so good it hurts.

@@EliTheBraixen I was hearing "pétalles" as "métal" (you know, with the huge tank and stuff in mind) and so I could not for the likes of me parse what they were talking about there.
No matter what beings walk the planet, no matter the age, as long as the heart exists, the fanaticism of the conqueror and the dictator will always resurface to inflict these atrocities.

@@Heccinchonker12 Fuga of course, but also Ori and the Blind Forest/Will Of The Wisps, Opus: Echo Of Starsong, Made in The Abyss (haven't watched it), Solatorobo (haven't played it), and some other games that I am yet to remember since this list is only going on memory.
It's really just media where child/teen protagonists suffer horribly, for the plot demands it.
@@yeedog6145 Hollow Knight and indie horror games are other examples, but more in the backstory than anything hahaha
If they ever make an animation of the text novels I wrote I am sure it would end up getting its list with all the hell I put the protagonists through.
@@yeedog6145 While there is a lot of suffering in Made in Abyss Riko actully loves her adventure. She might be one of the happiest protagonist and happiest child character I know. And her love fore the Adventure seems to have infected Reg and Nanachi. They all cherish it. Unlike the children of the Taranis who where draged into War against there will, Reg Riko and even Nanachi dived into the Abyss by there own choice. Its satisfaying to watch them enjoy there Adventure and in a way own the life they choose fore themself.
one thing that i notice is that the yt music and Spotify versions are larger and have more lyrics.
Yeah, this is a shorter version, I had a remake in the works with the extended one but the file got corrupted - the Spanish lyrics version of the video has the extended song
