- A wild juvenile monkey is slowly allowing herself to be loved by her human caretaker. A video showing the wild monkey turning into a calm one after a few weeks.
HISTORY: Maka is a juvenile long-tailed macaque (aka Java macaque aka crab-eating macaque). Her mother and half of her troop were captured by a group of jungle people for food. Maka was saved by someone who then sent her to a Cats & Dogs shelter. The shelter didn't have extra staff nor the money to continue taking care of her. She stayed in the shelter for a couple of weeks before I adopted her and brought her home.

Thanks for helping that little girl - it was obvious she needed you and you were able and WILLING to accommodate! I've seen your other videos and her journey is so wonderful. You allowed her to be a monkey - which was MOST important! Thank you for being the best human you could to a very special little monkey!
Still have her? Just wanted to know if you had found a sanctuary yet. The wife and I have a marmoset-will be getting him a bride in a few months. I know it would have to be heart wrenching to let her go but you have to do what you think is best. You should work with them professionally!!! She looks extremely comfortable around you! Cheers!
Last I hear the monkey was donated to a test lab. She’s spending her remaining life drugged and prodded in a cold cage. Good for science.

Nah. You have to literally beat their ass when they do bad behavior. My family has had macaques for a very long time and our monkeys never acted all hyper and wild like the average monkeys you see on RUclips. All these youtubers do is point their finger at the monkey and say no. That shit doesnt work. Monkeys need actual ass whoopins to behave.

that is a very sweet monkey and it would be easy for ome of us to be tempted to love this baby indefinately....but it would need to be for life 24/7. unlike other "animals" they should not left alone for any period of time. I have pugs and they are never left more than 2 hours by themselves. NEVER means just that. I know. I have raised and lost animals. and you never get over them if there is that kind of bond.

@@MinthangPhiamphu If it was a wild monkey like they said , it would have been fine left in it's environment.....but they say ...."wild monkey" ...so why not leave it where it was....with it's family troop .....humans just LOVE to dominate other species....it is sick....and..."lucky" to have owners who may have killed it's mother and stolen it , or kidnapped perhaps. NOTHING lucky about that situation :(
